Thanks for the ideas! Also quick option for front suspension; remove the brown pin and lock it below the grey steering bar. Suspension will be almost nothing, but the wheels doesn't come down when you lift the car and don't need additional spare parts.
I just raised it in the back, then the front and the whole car looks more aggressive and dope! I also put some spacers on behind the wheels so they stick further out :)
I just completed this build tonight - my entry into the world of Technic. I really like the idea about the spacers for the rear wheel off-set, and they were kind enough to leave us with a couple extra post build. Happy building and thanks for sharing the tip!
I adjusted the front suspension attachment points. I moved the axle stop closes to the middle of the car and moved the shock attachment point to the closest to the tires. You have to shove something behind the axle while you reattach the wheels but it drops the front to the lowest and everything still works. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, done this during build. Haven't applied the body panels but looks like a couple of spacers on the inside of the wheel will also stop them moving in and out 👍
Thanks for this! I realised that I already had the wheels too low however I wanted it to be in the normal position and this video saved me from hours of rebuilding
All i did. For the front end was remove the brown axle that you put through the shock and spring and lifted the lower arm, slid the axle throw the shock, wedged under the arm and stuck the locking piece on the end of the brown axle, saves having to get additional pieces
Yes. The dodge charger is one of my all time favorite cars and I of course love FF but this is a HARD pass for me. Feel like they had a chance to make something great and completely blew it. The creator mustang on the other hand is glorious. Why, Lego, why?
Having just got this set this was helpful thanks and an improvement. I also think if you flip the wheels around, they look better! Just procured the light set for it as well.
WHAT? You don’t like the B-Model Charger “DONK” edition? You know LEGO and DUB magazine have been trying to find a good project to collaborate on for some time now right!😉🤣😂 But seriously, you nailed the stance with your modifications! Bravo 👏
Tried it on rear axle, but the shocks didn't work. They got bent when pushing the car down instead og flexing on the spring. Not a big deal for a display model, but I appreciate the functionality of technic lego.
hi, I'm building this and have one rear wheel turn clockwise and the other turning counter-clockwise. Can't see any errors I've made. And just the three little gears in the flywheel box rotate, not the flywheel box itself. Should it? When just the 3 little gears turn I get the opposite wheel turn effect on both rear wheels. Thoughts?
Back then I only installed softer shock absorbers on the front axle. Due to the weight, it then goes down by itself. Steering is retained and when lifting the axle does not fall down as far as if nothing was in it. I didn't want to fix the axle with two 1x6 lift arms, there should still be some travel with the Technic model. I left the rear axle like that, now it has a nice wedge chassis. :o) I still installed side mirrors, closed the trunk floor a little more and extended the exhaust system (the pipes now go to the rear axle and then a little upwards, where you can no longer see the end), painted black rims. The bonnet and the bracket for the radiator grille, etc. I also changed something, because the two brackets in the radiator grille bothered me. Now there are no more to be seen. It is a pity that there is no sticker that is continuous without this recess where the brackets were.
Cool mods! Came up with a way to maintain limited suspension on the front with the ability to fully tune the suspension to your desired ride height ruclips.net/video/pG8s01HlA4w/видео.html
I just tried this with my model, there was a noticeable difference when it was off the ground, but i think my suspension is not tight enough for it to actually make a noticeable difference when on the ground.
I'm going to go with your third option and still have suspension at the front and sacrificing the slammed look slightly ;) Mustang wheels look ok but still bit small.
Would love to find a way to lower the engine (removing the big air filter and chain mechanism) so you can make a full solid hood you can close close with no cut outs
Great video, I just started my build and just finished bag there, was going to do the rear, but apparently i put it together that way in the 1st place. accidental win.
Hey can you help me with the Dodge Charger? I have problems to get the engine run freely. When I put the last part of the engine on its place the pistons get stuck (they dont have enough space to move). How do I fix that? Thats really bad cause as long as that problem is there I cant move on.
Yep, looks miles better siting lower! I modified my Creator Beetle to make it sit lower and have it some proper modded Beetle stance. Videos are on my channel.
I had my stanced and wanted to make it normal, but my rear suspension is not like it was before i stanced it. I have done everything correct but does anybody know what i could have done wrong
I like the third solution the best and with the mustang wheels nice great vid by the way now I know what to do and could you do a video on making it a 1970 Daytona plz and thank you for the video
I replaced all four springs on mine with pieces that function like the thin 1x6 beams (waiting for them to ship in) and I didnt notice any rubbing with the rear wheels. The charger looks so much better when lowered. I hated the monster truck ride height
Tökéletes! ha valaki szeretne egy chargert de nem annyira tuningolva mint a sorozatban (mert mondjuk nem szereti) akkor még kikapja a motor tetejét hogy fedje a motorháztető a motort és kész!
Are those mustang wheels being sold separately anywhere ? I really don't wanna buy a whole set just for some wheels 😭😭😭 what's the part number for them?
Hiya, love the video on this. Are you able to tell me the part numbers for the 3rd set up on the front suspension please. I think I’ll do that as it looks much better. Cheers 😉
@@RacingBrick actually, its because when i put the engine block together, i put one of the blocks upside down. If you have set, im referring to step 28, page 85, bottom right corner.

Surely it's muscle car not a race car. Muscle cars are supposed to sit higher so they can absorb bumps. Your car wouldn't survive the car chase at the end of Fast and Furious. The charger always sits higher, think of the general Lee blasting along dirt roads. I don't like the slammed look as it doesn't look scale.
@@RacingBrick no you wouldn't but there isn't much you can do about the wheels. Why do you keep calling it a donk look? Have you ever seen a 1960's dodge charger? They aren't slammed this is how they look.
@@Rockatha so you agree that the wheels don't match but you insist they look like this. If it had proper wheels I'd leave the suspension height as is, but these wheels simply don't look right
"let me show you how to do this without taking the car apart" [proceeds to take car apart] hehe but yeah looks heaps better :) they probably compromised because kids will get a kick out of building the suspension
How about snipping part of the spring off? It'll drop it and you keep some suspension. Common mod in the real world for those lacking the financial ability to drop a car safely. No disassembly required and no money spent :)

Wim Schaberg this is Brilliant
I did this as well. Works great!
Thanks for this! I’m just building this set now and have used your method! 👌👌
Legend, this worked perfectly
Third solution hands down, just finished my charger yesterday and without hesitation i used the mod, thank you so much!
I just raised it in the back, then the front and the whole car looks more aggressive and dope! I also put some spacers on behind the wheels so they stick further out :)

I'm making mine look like the off road charger from f7 with 4 wheel drive
XboxLegoGuy when you finished, can you please share it?
You should share it
Could u make a video on it?
Sounds sick
Nope, i like the long suspension
Thank you!! I just finished my second bag so I was able to do this mod in the middle of my build. Cheers mate!

Looking to drop the front i did exactly the same. Suspension feta stiffer but works and stance is perfect imho.

Personally, I like the 3rd solution for the front wheels the most
Yeah mustang wheels in the front but keep the original wheels for the back to give it that drag look from the movies
Does anyone know where I can get those wheels at 5:53
They look better then the wheels that come with the car
Thanks for this! I realised that I already had the wheels too low however I wanted it to be in the normal position and this video saved me from hours of rebuilding

The Charger is just a poorly designed set all-round. LEGO cut corners on this model, not with pieces but with development, or lack thereof.
Yes. The dodge charger is one of my all time favorite cars and I of course love FF but this is a HARD pass for me. Feel like they had a chance to make something great and completely blew it.

Not in the same price range as the Mustang.
@@ralex3697 close enough. The mustang is $150. The charger is $100.

That's an essential fix. Nice. 👍 Those mustang wheels somehow look appropriate now.
Got my set on Monday and already did this upgrade
I got this issue and it helped SOOOOO much

Well if you look at the movie that car had proper wheels. At this scale you can't find LEGO wheels that could replicate that.
It’s supposed to be raked. You turned it into a low rider.
Amen brother! If you want a low rider build a 80s Cadillac! This is a drag racer!
it looks good but then its not Doms charger with a weird stance and to much spring like to movies

I just wish they had used thinner tires on the front like every other dragster on the planet
Honestly I prefer the charger with the old thick tires
Just put a softer spring on to make it sit lower

True but there's no reversing that change unless you already have more of those parts
For me personally a challenger 1970 looks way way better when it's more up I think it looks bad at this car when its more down to the ground.
They did this car wrong they cut so many corners I want a redo with this in the LEGO creator style
I don't like it.
