Keep it coming. I know the new 2023 Saga is already in the market for quite sometimes, but I love people making review out of this car. It's all about the content, reviewer point of view and the story to tell. Overall, your way of telling us about this car was good. I will wait for your updates. 😄👍
Congrats. Hari ini saya test saga premium..mula2 hmmm sbb interior mcm tacky sikit, but once on the road, dgn the stability and handling.. suddenly i became saga rempit..i love it. I felt so confident drving and speeding.. seriously rasa i can so fast and furious but i won't la .😅😅 U paham la what I mean
ya btol, sebelum i beli saga sy i ada try bezza, tapi sebab yg i nk kt kete sy ialah comfort ngan handling. Bezza boleh jimat minyak tapi comfort ok je, jadi i pilih Saga terus, lagipun Saga lebih murah
Good review Kenny. How i see it Proton make cars for the driver mainly, to keep occupants feel safe and in comfort under normal driving conditions. Others may argue about price comparison with other makes but that is actually subjective. Proton's handling prowess is still underrated but we have seen and read about BMW owners buying Sagas as their get around car. That should tell us something. My first car was a Volkswagen (People's car) Beetle built from ground up. Had a few stints overseas but each time i came back it has been a Proton. First was a Waja, then an Exora and currently a Preve but still a Proton. Cheers to all Proton owners! Just to add my wife bought an Iriz first generation minus all it's downsides, the handling still comes out on top. Spent 4 years and a bit in the country people call the land of the rising sun. They make cars and sell them in great numbers. But the quality of a domestic car and the ones they produce overseas are quite different. Especially those in B segment cars - more focus on margin of profit than offering the best to consumers i gather. My experience buying a camera over there as locally - same model but the ones over there way heavier than sold in Malaysia! During my stint over there, our office car was a Toyota Crown, well built with all the features and creature comforts. One my sisters has been sticking with Vios models ... no where near a Saga in the driving department i suppose. Perhaps the latest models propped on improved chassis would have different driving dynamics i reckon. In a way duped into buying brands and associating it with quality product. No dispute about Toyota engines though.
Nowadays Proton is different than before in my opinion, but i have to say that every car has their own fault, not everything is 100% fine. So we really can't judge the book through the cover, hence why i didn't really biased towards my car even. I just keep it neutral in the majority of the review. But glad to see you share your stories with me in the comments, my channel will always welcome you to come back and comment on anything
agree.. but me lucky I have both 2019 premium & 2022 premium s. One is mine & the S is is my wife’s 😂 I will install the premium S front & side skirts on my 2019 premium.
Hi. Can please leave a review on the fuel consumption compared to your previous car myvi? I had been eyeing this saga for almost a year but still couldn’t make up my mind because of some past reviews on cvt and gearbox 😅
Hi, im the Saga 2023 owner here , latest saga using Aisin gb 4at, smooth however a lil bit lazy at higher gear, fuel consumption not really good for town driving i only managed 11km per liter however long distance saves a lot up to 16-17km if normal driving , superb handling, overall a good bargain to own one.
Hey, thanks for the review Kenny. Just wondering how you managed to swap the rims out for the ones you're using in the video? I am getting mine soon if nothing goes wrong and would prefer this set of rims hahahaha
I found a set selling online where it's a shop who's selling these OEM rims and very welcome for trade ins. So i asked them if they want my premium s rims and they say yes to me, so that's how i got my rims changed. But do note that not all sc allow rim change even if it's the same size and everything, do please consult your local service centre before the rim change decision if you're not going to keep the wheels for yourselves anymore
Hi. Thks for ur input. That work out 16.7km/l! This is incredible good fc for 100% city drive, would beat Axia, bezza, city, vios all these Fuel sipper cars!
I found them at a tyre shop in Shah Alam, their FB name is Rim sukan terpakai, they still have a set of mc1 refurbished rims on sale if I'm not mistaken
Buatan Malaysia Terbaik 👍
btol
proud to be saga community
I'm proud too

See the 2019 Proton Saga Premium Merc's rims is the most handsome wayyyyyy betterrrr compares to 2022 Premium S fan blade rims😂
Totally agree, glad that I've made the choice to change it
@@kennychan8886 My Saga is Standard AT 2019, but I converted it into Premium 2019 with Merc's rims..
Thats why your Premium S catches my eyes🤩

Hi wanna ask does it void the warranty? Changing the rim to the merc rim
@Ethan-cp2gs yes it does void wheel & suspension warranty.
Nice number 😮
Thanks for the noticing of the number haha
Nice car bro, I got the same model but with ruby red color, it's a pretty solid car
It is indeed a pretty solid car, though some faults will happen but that's part of the experience for me
@@kennychan8886 What kind of faults may I ask? Never had a problem with it
sometimes the air cond will not work, but it will work eventually, sometimes the wiper too but it's just temporary stuff only
Very good review. Im considering this car deeply, coming from 325 e90 and f10 3.0. Btw how large can the tyres go? 205 45 15 possible?
I belive you can, my tyre size is factory standard so you can refer to my tyre size and went for an upgrade

感谢你把新款的duan-tone rim换掉,我很喜欢mc2的rim设计
谢谢你的评论,希望我自己车的MC2 rim你会有机会用到吧哈哈
8886 really nice number😊
Thank you ❤❤

Very basic but cost effective
yes indeed, less stuff to go wrong too
have you found out what causes the aircond issue?
Apparently it's because of the wires are extremely fragile and they sit too close with the wiper stalk fuse, so sometimes they will affect each other
Hi, If 100% city Drive, what the worst fuel consumption can be?
Hi, the worst that I've ever seen myself average out at 6L/100km
Hi. Thks for ur input. That work out 16.7km/l! This is incredible good fc for 100% city drive, would beat Axia, bezza, city, vios all these Fuel sipper cars!
Those car have better accleration, the saga is designed to be driven in higher speed IMO
Where did you find the MC1 rims and how much did it cost ? Thanks!
I found them at a tyre shop in Shah Alam, their FB name is Rim sukan terpakai, they still have a set of mc1 refurbished rims on sale if I'm not mistaken
as for the cost, I've only paid rm100 more because I've traded in my original mc2 rims
@@kennychan8886that rim is OG cool😊
this is premium model not premium s, btw, are u buying this in singapore?
It is premium S. The driver swap the rims with the previous version rims
@@AA-gn3lr ic ok thx for claryifying
Thanks to the previous reply to answer one of the question and no, I bought this in Malaysia
It is premium S...
4AT engine ke
ya btol, yg ni versi 4AT aisin
4at transmisi.... Bukan engin... 2 perkara berbeza... Engin vvt digabungkan dgn transmisi 4at aisin..
Proton ketinggalan zaman auto Dunia sekarang berlumba-lumba menujuh teknoloji kereta electric tapi proton Masih dgn gaya Lama guna bahan bakar petrol
Proton masih nak old school, tapi dh tngh belajar sistem elektrik
