    My issue is, most insurance won't cover weight loss for people who are obviously obese, who have tried difficult diets. Insurance will cover surgery, which costs more & is more invasive.

      Wow, that is really strange. What I just remembered is that maybe it is not covered yet because it is not in stock everywhere and a bit hard to find at the moment. But honestly, who knows what that's all about. Thank you for sharing your insight, I did not know about that.

      Thats a good point. But you cant lose weight on weird diets. U have to eat healthy food everyday for the rest of your life. Thats the secret. You have to force yourself to eat mostly veggies, some protein (like chicken), and some carbs (like rice). And junkfood every once in a while (like 1 to 3 times a month). U can do this! You have to reflect on why u gain the weight. Is it emotional pain ( get a therapist). Is it a busy life with kids (watch YT videos on how to meal prep). You dont need wegovy. U can do this.

    The option #3 - why doesn't this run into the same 99% failure rate that lifestyle interventions have without medicine/surgery?

    Why comparison with opioids when this is NOT a new substance and why say you don't know the long-term effects when the same substance is and has been used for a long time as a medicine for diabetes?

    • @devinkelly3135
      @devinkelly3135 Год назад

      But i wonder why we haven’t seen big weight loss among the general population of diabetics taking these meds? They have been prescribed for years, and it has not lead to big outbreaks if weight loss, right? Wouldn’t we have heard about it?

    • @MissSweetBabe
      @MissSweetBabe Год назад

      @@devinkelly3135 Well you've surely heard about Kardashians and saw how slim they look recently after using it "allegedly" 😁 I'm joking a bit, but so far I've watched dozens of yt videos of other people sharing their experience with using this substance to lose weight. So this part is out there, search for it and let me know if you need any help finding it. Regarding the video and my comment, I was surprised and irritated with the incorrect comparison with opioids, and it is hard to understand then the continuous insisting on this being such a new thing that we have no idea about it whatsoever. I would expect them to say that this substance is not new, it has been in use and is quite safe for use but some additional testing may be needed just in case, as a bit higher dosage is used for weight loss than for diabetics, but that was not what they said. The dosage part may be why diabetics did not have the same result as when it is used to lose weight.

    I have lost no weight at all on Wagovy. I took two .25 injections so far and my appetite is very good. Following all diet rules, no carbs, no sugar still not loosing. Yes, I do forget to drink lots of water. Is it because of that?

    Is there anything that can be done about water weight lymphedema help start rapping repels compression stockings but it comes right back is there anything that you can help me with to get rid of this I'm not saying I don't have weight affect too there is that also majority is water weight and it's mostly in my legs I said I've tried everything you can think of help please pretty please I don't eat sugar I'm not a diabetic I rarely eat meat or bread and never eat sugar😢

    • @Lovelyone1
      @Lovelyone1 Месяц назад

      Hi! I’m a lymphedema therapist. For the most part, lymphedema is a chronic and progressive condition. The only thing that works is going through the treatment with the bandages and then getting fitted with compression garments. These garments must be worn all day. You should put them on within an hour of getting out of bed and don’t remove them until you go to bed at night. Some people have very resistant swelling and must have Velcro compression at night too (never sleep in stockings). Now, I have seen 1 or 2 patients who have manage to lose a substantial amount of weight and all but resolve their issue. This is rare because 99% of my very overweight patients never lost the weight. It will be interesting to see with these weight loss drugs affect this population. But, sugar and bread doesn’t really affect lymphedema. The biggest problem I have with patients is convincing them that they must be in compression every waking hour.
      My recommendation: get the CDT, wear your compression properly (they do have custom stockings but very expensive) and use the medication to lose the weight. Once your weight is resolved then you can see where you are at. If you still need to wear compression you might be okay with that then considering you are relatively slender and less uncomfortable.
      Also remember, therapeutic compression is 30-40. Anything less won’t contain you properly. If you find that most stockings aren’t thick enough…there is a brand called Medi and they have a line of stockings that are thicker and sometimes can be worn instead of custom stockings.
      Hope this helps.

    hi if someone with high fasting insulin level along with high c peptide , be worried about taking semaglutide considering it raises your insulin when you take it or am i wrong? or does it just raise the sensitivity of insulin?

    • @rebeccamyott7041
      @rebeccamyott7041 Год назад

      The idea is that you take less insulin. ( or metformin) And let the new drug take the lead.....also reduce your carb intake... what carbs you do eat ...eat them AFTER you eat your meat and fats. YOU NUMBER WILL NOT SPIKE SO HIGH... BEST OF LUCK TO YOU.😌

    I was really disappointed when the doctor said he would not prescribe these medications to someone who hasn’t committed to eating better. Would he deny a patient blood pressure medications because they won’t change their diet???? Would he deny a patient cholesterol medication if they don’t eat better???? This is DISCRIMINATION!!! Very disappointing!!!
