Creating two different macros and then binding them to two separate keys is not creating a key toggle! This is at best, a workaround. I appreciate your content. Ae you not surprised or bothered that there aren't any functions in Synapse that allow us to do these types of simple functions? There should be an option for every key in the basic "Keyboard Tab" section of Synapse, that gives us the ability to alter keys' behavior. I.e. "Double-tapping" (Where pressing a key down registers as a complete press and release, then releasing the key initiates another complete key press and release) "Toggle functionality" (An actual toggle function capability for any key) "Double-tap to hold", etc. It would be easier to bake these things into the UI of the normal Synapse modules instead of having to use wonky macros to make them. Not to mention that macros should be able to be bound to at least simple key combinations, and hypershift keys should be able to retain their other functions, in addition to acting as the modifier.
Yes synapse should have better functions. Unfortunately if you want a key to stay pressed without having to manually hold it down, this is it. In Synapse 2 we didn't need the release macro, hitting the actual key would register as a release. However (last I checked), this will not work in Synapse 3 (except for mouse clicks).
I FOUND A WAY!!! So it's one key toggle but has some flaws:So select your key that you want to toggle, assign macro,Toggle mode:Toggle continuous playback on/off using assigned key The macro itself: • Start LOOP Shift (only pressed down, delete other part) • End LOOP Shift (released) Set the loop to a higher number, like 100,1000 The higher the number the more you'll have to wait after you untoggle it for it to actually register but the less shift toggles you will get like for high number 5seconds it is pressed down a ms released, then pressed down again for 5 seconds, now if you press it when the loop is at let's say 1000cycle of 5000 you will have to wait another 4000 cycles(not much) for it to unpress,if lower the number the less you'll have to wait but you'll get more jitter for MC a number like 100 is fine,I also tested it with ac 4 the jitter there is more noticeable so I set to 1000-2000 Go on to en.key-test.ru to test what I'm talking about and experiment with different settings till you get the best result. Hope somebody actually reads this, because I'm quite happy I it works.

the funny thing is that this function was present in razer synapse 2. Razer = always gave had unfinished and bad softwares... shame on this expensive brand ^^
I got my game to toggle in Synapse 3 by putting in a normal key press with a short delay of .1s on the key up. then set the macro to Toggle Continuous Playback when you bind it. the 0s delay on the Key down makes it fire again before the game even responds to the key release. Now while the macro is running it stays pressed the whole time and stops when the macro key is pressed again.

Even creating a macro doesn't work, because its an on/off function that is either on / off / or a continuous on / off until key is released, making the pan stuttery and useless
You need to make a second macro to release. Do it the exact same way except make the macro of the button being released. You will have to assign this to a different key.
@@k3gamerk3-gaming96 Ah ok, your video didn't really mention that at all. I ended up contacting Razer support and apparently having a simple key toggle is not possible -.-
quick question: how do i make it so that i can press my W key and it also keeps pressing the sprint button? usually its shift but i want to assign the sprint button to something random and make it so my W also automatically presses sprint.
If I understand correctly, you don't want a toggle. When you hold W you also want Shift held. This is pretty straight forward. I recommend making a new profile for this game. View your keyboard and click on w to remap it. Select keyboard function and key recording. Hit Shift W, and save. Done. Now if you want to use shift for some other function, switch that around first, and pair the new sprint key with w for the remapping.
didnt work for me everytime that i try this my keyboard gets all wonky and my F key stays stuck this shit is 3 years old maybe there needs to be an updated version
So getting a single key to toggle using Razer Snyapse requires creating 2 macros and will use up 2 separate keys to get it to function??? Logitech Gaming Software does all of this, and uses only 1 key, by adding a checkmark to a box. WTF Razer? Add a simple toggle function!
Yeah it's so weird. Honestly I would love a toggle function key to toggle anything on the fly. Hit that function key and any key you want to stay pressed and it would hold it for you until you tap that function key again.
Can anybody help me? I used a macro and made it hold space and I used p as my toggle key and it’s not stopping I try to delete the macro but it’s not can anybody help?
So for my mouse, If I do this, but pressing say the 1 button on it which is programmed to a keyboard key to make my character sprint in game ( sprint is activated by holding a key) will it work. To clarify if I press 1, I'll sprint, and letting go of one will cease the sprint?
I just saw this and I figured out that if you use this method. (I used it on left click) you just need to put the "down" action, and "play once" bc it registers as holding down and then registering in the computer. So you don't actually need a "release" macro.
@@k3gamerk3-gaming96 if i don't have a release then my mouse macro just won't release?? i just want my right click to be toggled but it won't release the right click.

I have cheap A4tech keyboard and I've made such macro easily - now I bought Razer and its looks impossible. Or is not? Also how to use some buttons conditionally - for example - when in game menu - I want to use space as space (for writing) but when in-game - switch to some macro key (like toggle button). Now for chroma I have to use autohotkey software + razer synapse to use not cheap keyboard as I want. It's radiculus!!! BTW - 4-6 times cheaper A4tech keyboards (I have G800) have also own memory for macros, far more advanced that Synapse allows - you progam it once and download to keyboard and you dont have to use any software after.

@@k3gamerk3-gaming96 I'm wondering if there is maybe a 3rd party piece of software I can use. I'll do some searching and let u know.

I don't have that macro button on mine.
I have every other button strangely.
Wow great idea

How do you change those 12 buttons ?
can you use hypershift with this keyboard
thank you so much
Thanks !
Help, I did exactly as described except my key still doesn't release on second press??
This is not a true toggle hold, but a workaround for some games.
didnt work for me everytime that i try this my keyboard gets all wonky and my F key stays stuck this shit is 3 years old maybe there needs to be an updated version
THANK YOU
So getting a single key to toggle using Razer Snyapse requires creating 2 macros and will use up 2 separate keys to get it to function??? Logitech Gaming Software does all of this, and uses only 1 key, by adding a checkmark to a box. WTF Razer? Add a simple toggle function!
Yeah it's so weird. Honestly I would love a toggle function key to toggle anything on the fly. Hit that function key and any key you want to stay pressed and it would hold it for you until you tap that function key again.
how do you change the MS ?
ADS+ fire macro in mouse button 1 is it possible?
Can anybody help me? I used a macro and made it hold space and I used p as my toggle key and it’s not stopping I try to delete the macro but it’s not can anybody help?
Doesnt seem to work for me
So for my mouse, If I do this, but pressing say the 1 button on it which is programmed to a keyboard key to make my character sprint in game ( sprint is activated by holding a key) will it work. To clarify if I press 1, I'll sprint, and letting go of one will cease the sprint?
Not exactly. Pressing 1 again would stop sprint. You would need another macro say "2" that has the same macro except for release instead of hold.
@@k3gamerk3-gaming96 oh okay thanks man!
Thanks.
do i need a razer key board for this?
Media buttons don't work?
can i get a link on where to download this?
this didnt work for me. my huntsman wouldnt let me bind 2 macros to the same key
You'll need to bind the second one to a different key
I dont have keyboard on there HELP
what about a laptop
Do you need a razer keyboard to make a macro with the letter and number keys ?
Yes I think
thx for this 👍
I just saw this and I figured out that if you use this method. (I used it on left click) you just need to put the "down" action, and "play once" bc it registers as holding down and then registering in the computer. So you don't actually need a "release" macro.
With the current update the mouse buttons don't require a release, but the keyboard does. It used to be neither required a release.
@@k3gamerk3-gaming96 if i don't have a release then my mouse macro just won't release?? i just want my right click to be toggled but it won't release the right click.
@@InsomniaOfAfflikti0n depending on the synapse version you may need to also make a release macro
OK - its easy but... how to do Macro On and Off by 1 button (for example + Zoom by clicking midle mouse button, and -zoom by clicking same button again)?
Thank youuuuuuuuuu
video ends too early but still fine
does anyone know if you can remap the function key (fn)
if your asking if you can change the fn key to something else like w then yes you can
Cheers :)
is there a way to add keys to the gaming mode disable key?
Not that I'm aware of. If it's the windows gaming mode it might be hidden in windows settings.
