    Love the detailed usage info.....many reviewers provide the basics, but you provide in-depth info on how the rig would actually be used.......we are considering purchasing the 24kb........Awesome review......love your technique.......keep up the Great work, and thank you!!!

      I totally agree. The 24kb seems to have all the best feature with a great cargo capacity of 1577 lbs. it is because they didn’t put any heavy leveling system , heavier diesel engine and a small slide and no heavy battery and electrical system that we can customize as we wish. I never make a mistake on all what i buy. The 24kb is the best small twin bed with the capability to never use the slide and still have a good living space, and even more with the slide out. And it retain the 5000 lbs hitch trailer capabilities. Leisure travel van propose only a ridiculous class 1 and 2000lbs and their twin bed at 260k$. The 24kb allows to put a Bluetti ac200L with a b210 extra battery to run the full coach and i have the pv420 watts portable solar panel. I would simply increase the compass battery to 200ah and replace the panel with a 250w panel which is still compatible with the Gopower 30A controller inside the 24kb. For a bigger solar array on the roof, the wiring and controller has to be replace as the current electrical system supports only 30 x 12.8 = 384 w max. But a 250w + 420w portable would be already good.

    This was a great no nonsense video. You did mention several things I have not heard in other reviews of this coach. Thirteen miles per gallon is pretty good. It seems that Thor has increased their quality standards.

    We love ours, you have a couple extra hooks in the bathroom than we do but I installed a towel bar above the toilet and towel ring above the tp holder.
    BTW there is some sustantial storage you did'nt mention under the drivers side mattress.

      Do you use stabilizer jack for using the slide? , it is recommended on the sticker above the multiplex screen. I think the guy didn’t use them because the terrain was flat.
      The 24kb has storage everywhere it is one of the best rv to my opinion in term of design.

    • @whipsplash6943
      @whipsplash6943 Месяц назад +1

      @@CC-gt3ro I haven't used them but I don't use the slide much and don't have a sticker that says I should. In addition your always on flat ground or using blocks to level the rv. Also the slide is short and light weight as the guy points out. You only use the slide so you can set up the table, we use a couple old fashion folding tv tables when we want to grab quik meals without using the slide. I'm with you on the design, we decided on this layout before we ever started looking at rv's in person. The best thing about the design is your beds are always made up, no folding something down or sliding something out. Park and go to bed!

      How loud is the generator?

      @kurtkisandi1575 it's actually pretty quiet

    • @CC-gt3ro
      @CC-gt3ro Месяц назад

      @@kurtkisandi1575rated at only 48 db at 10 feet, this must be pretty quiet (for a generator i mean) and the flex 4000w is only 87 lbs, it is not 206 lbs like the Onan generator. So it light enough to provide a good safety backup to a customized electrical system like Bluetti ac200L 2400w continuous with 1200w solar input and fast charging with D40 48v 384w 12v conversion, and alternator dc-dc charger1 560w with b210 extra battery at 4200wh and their pv420 watts solar portable panel (3000$)
      Or a full victron system dual battery 330 = 660ah , inverter 3000w multiplus, and 4 x 250w on the roof (16500$)
      The flex 4k is a nice backup for such battery in the worst scenario.

    Dude! Best review ever. We are going to check out this RV today. Still unsure about floor plan but this one is pretty cool. Can we add a dinette instead of the couch?

  • @CC-gt3ro

    I didn’t see you using stabilizer jack for the slide? I suppose it is ok because your campground place is very flat but on a grass national park i would put two stabilizer manual jack to help the slide functioning perfectly. I think it is indicated on the sticker closed to the screen control.

    Thor SLAPS TOGETHER PURE JUNK!

    • @CC-gt3ro
      @CC-gt3ro Месяц назад

      @@nineelephants1975 do your research. This 24kb is better than the leisure travel van which is 60k$ more and the ltv has only a ridiculous class 1 hitch limited to 2000 lbs and 200 lbs on the tongue (for the equivalent ford transit wonder twin bed with big pass-through).
      The Thor 24kb has 5000/500 hitch capabilities for the same layout and big pass through storage. Also the 24kb has 1577 lbs cargo capacity which is the best. The only negative of the past was the old propane fridge which is replace by NorCold 12v compressor very reliable ( it is the same than on the LTV). The chassis is the same, the propane tank is the same. The roof is one TPO roof . Maybe you can argue that the electrical system is weak. But you can customize it with a good roof surface area with 4x250w panels and put ever a bluetti ac200L with extra batteries or a full victron system 660ah in the passthrough storage. The stirage door are very solid. So what is it you said? Give exemple? On the recent model of course, i don’t talk about model 15 or 20 years ago..

    Can you run the generate without use the car gas tank, basically can you add an additional gas tank.

    • @CC-gt3ro
      @CC-gt3ro Месяц назад

      @@DSCSF52it is also possible to put a sofa bed to sleep one adult. There is a guy that build wood extension with foot to make a big bed for two persons. There is also the possibility to add foot rest.
      The jack knife sofo is 56 inches i think, so could be replace by anything but that must be compatible with safety belt

    Why do you have water everywhere- that’s not the way to clean and drain tanks- you should’ve done that at the sewer dump area.
    The water fill spout us in opposite side ONLY on this layout because that huge back storage means the generator had to go under instead of in side. The 23TW with full slide ( My rig) has the water fill spout on same side as the fresh water tank.
    23TE is the third layout.
    The awning is wonderful and has an auto wind sensor.
    The Schwintek slide is excellent I’ve had on all our rigs. It’s an easy one to troubleshoot.
    You don’t seem to know enough about this fabulous rig to be doing a review since you don’t own it.
    The Hitch is a 5000 pound hitch - but after fully loaded you have 2900 -3500 pounds left to tow with.
    Furnace works well right there - it’s right there since 2016 in all the pre 2020 layouts. A great system in this unit-
    Why are you comparing a great Rv to towable trailer build hinges?
    The 12 v plug in bedroom cabinet is for a CPAP machine not more charging.
    We owners of all the layouts live our rigs.
