For people who make this in 1.21.4, DON'T LIGHT THE PORTAL AT 4:46 !!! At 7:47 when he lights the portal on top of the killing chamber and goes through, I also did it in my world and there were a ton of wither skeletons in the overworld and I almost died, so I recommend lighting the nether side portal in the farm itself after you've set up the killing chamber.
@Frosty_lifts0 if you already built it and it works then you don’t have to worry. My problem was I went through the portal on the spawning platform before I made the killing chamber and that’s where I almost died
girl i been putting off building this farm for so long, finally built up the guts to do it and no wither skeletons came through at first, so i checked the comments and saw other people had to wait for 5-10 mins. sat and stared at it for 5 mins crossing my fingers and toes and eyes and i quite literally jumped with excitement when they eventually came through bahah thank you so much!!
a lot of farms do that I built a piglin farm which IS SO FAST and it takes a while for them to come through because it puts them in the overworld then it pushes them from the overworld into the nether purely from entity cramming forcing them into a portal but the video explained that on that farm so i knew but i was still anxious if it worked then sure enough and boom about 80 popped into the killing chamber it was very exciting lmaooo EDIT: ITS THE SAME DESIGN AS MY PIGLIN FARM BUT ADAPTED FOR WITHER SKELETONS AHAHAHAHAHA EDIT x2: Surprise surprise my piglin farm is made by ianxofour who also made this farm

Two ideas came to my mind to increase efficiency. I would be happy if someone who understands farming could answer. (Excuse my English) 1-If I put "wither rose" on the platform instead of walls, will the efficiency increase because the blazes will decrease ? 2- if the walls necessary, Will productivity increase if I put "wither rose" in the remaining places on the platform ?
@@hawking9127 i don't know much about farming but i think it would work. you could test it out for 5 minutes or so and see if it works. either way, the farm is still pretty efficient
Yeah, dude I had no idea what happened. Just spawned in and died in about 1 second. Just caught a quick glimpse of wither skeletons and then dead. Was able to retrieve it thankfully but still, wtf. Also my coordinates put my on top of an ocean monument, might have affected something?
7:43 i lighted the portal, and teleported in a very small cave where about 100 wither skeletons instantly started to attack me and i died in 1,5 seconds with netherite armor and totems and i lose my best hardcore world. i plaing in 1.21, and i did everything you said. thanks!
In 1.21, you should light up the nether portal in the mob spawning platform AFTER finishing your farm build so that you won't be killed by wither skeletons
Could you explain why? Im many blocks from the other ones away so i hoped that the farm would work. Would the farm work if the other players would be in the end?

Yea lol, made this and realized this is a wayy better bone/bonemeal farm compared to my skele spawner farm. This produces wayy more skeletons than a spawner can.
@@meyrahjust fill up every slot with one of every drop you want, you can make half the rows coal, half the rows bones , and one row at the bottom for skulls
For anyone not getting wither skeletons to spawn, all you have to do is wait at least 5 to 10 minutes, you have to wait for the over world bridge you built to fill up with wither skeletons.
@@arafsiddique3019 It works I try all farms in my world in creative ( backup ) 1.20.4 . You can build In any biome if u think there is wayyyy to much mobs exect wither skelly. Just Infront of portal to wither skelly. All of despawn.
For anyone experiencing that wither skeletons are not appearing through the portal in the nether, the change that helped me was to make the platform on the nether roof 1 block lower. (glass platform) AFK-ing 1 block lower should make the wither skeletons run through!
This might be my problem, but what makes them more likely to come through only lowering the platform? The withers are definitely stacked in the overworld walkway, but I only had 3 come through in a 30 minute span.
@@NightMaree404 It works, but it's very slow. I solved some of the problem by spawn proofing more of the area around it. However, when watching the original creator's video, he explains the process more in-depth. I should've built it to the side of it to get more spawns. Furthermore, I haven't gotten wither roses yet, so my spawns will increase a lot when I get those and place them on the ground. I was simply wanting to get enough skulls for the future farms I'd like to do with the roses, and I've gotten enough for 8 wither fights to do this.
Ok so after building the farm I found one thing that can help improve it. Sometimes the wither skeletons will just sit on the bridge and get stuck and would disrupt the flow of the farm. I fixed this by just putting an iron golem behind the protal that teleports them to the killing chamber, this makes them try to go to the portal and ups the amount of skeletons that go through the protal
A ghast blew up a chunk of my farm, and blazes shot at me like no tomorrow, but this farm does work. It took a long ass time though like 3.5 hours excluding the rebuilding.

I linked up a portal very close to the one in the overworld so when i am about to be done i can go through and get all the clogged up wither skeletons in the overworld into the nether to kill alot before i go. Make sure to do this as you get 20-40 more skeletons every time you want to be done with the farm I would also suggest flying up about 40 blocks with an elytra to remove everything such as blazes that are taking up places in the mobcap Also to increase rates you can reduce your render distance (Only works on singleplayer) IF YOUR NOT REDUCING RENDER DISTANCE then your rates could be lowered. As soon as i decreased mine i see about 2x the wither skulls (blue forest farm)
Some tips that i think are useful. I built this farm in 1.21 and work greats but i did some changes. 1) the glass Y on killing chamber 1 block lower. 2) instead of cobwebs i put 2 water source that take the Withers to the other portal so you don t need to wait 5 min every time. 3) put 2 open trapdoors in the killing zone so the skeletons will fell easier. It works great in 1.21 if you need any help ill try my best to fix your problems

@@meesheuij for this farm on multiplayer you need to be the only player in nether to work. If you get low amount of skeletons make sure you built the platform in a spot that is all in a nether fortress zone
Hi all. This does work in 1.21 and I took the suggestion from another to build the killing chamber 1 block lower and instead built the whole nether roof part 1 block lower. It works very well in a creative copy. I will let y’all know once I build in survival!!
Another update. DO NOT!!!! Light the original portal at the fortress or you will die instantly when you go into the overworld from the nether roof portal. Entities can spawn portals in 1.21. Wait until everything is built and then light. I ended up dying because of this (not hardcore so it’s fine, but almost lost my stuff)

Works like a charm on v1.21 java, took some time to make it, have at least 10x fire resistance potions when building farm in nether. Otherwise, have full geared and equip chest armor when going to overworld with first portal you go through and run for it:) Otherwise use elytra to escape and eat food fast. Thanks for a very good guide and tutorial on this kinda farm, apreciate all your efforts.
what do u do once you escape i dont want them to spawn in overworld (if i break block of portal in overworld another one js spawns when wither skele walks thru)
To those who waited and nothing and I found no wither skeletons (Like I'd done). Make sure that your spawning platform is within the Soul sand valley. If still no withers were spawned. Try lowering down your afk platform by 1 one block, or maybe 2.
@@Greenrooster393 no, you don't need to desend the portal, only the AFK platform. No withered skeletons are spawned because you are out too far away the spawning platform, way too far that it is outside the "spawning sphere" surrounding you. So, basically lower the afk platform a bit, try 1 block, then 2 if 1 doesn't work.
work great in 1.21.4 tips is when build the portal in fortress DO NOT light it on or when you go in the portal on nether roof you will face with 3000 wither skeleton in the overworld wait to kill you you can light the portal in fortress when you done with the overworld setup then it will work correctly also use fire resistance when in the fortress
My friend and I just attempted to make it and the portal to the overworld leads almost directly to an ancient city. Thankfully not DIRECTLY inside of it O_O I would've cried if it had 😆
7:49 WARNING you will come out of the portal with 50+ wither skeletons. Almost lost my hardcore world, but lucky had a totem. Insane farm tho, started working immediately and got a full stack of skulls in 30 min.
If anyone is having the problem where no wither skeletons enter, I did some troubleshooting and I have fixed it in my world. What worked for me was to go into the original portal at the platform, then break where you end up, then go back to the platform, break that portal and then go back to the killing area and lower the afk platform with 1-4 blocks. Now it works great!
Thank you so much for providing such an incredible farm! I've been AFK for almost seven hours (this is the first AFK and last one xD) and got Four stacks of Wither Skull, Two full shulker boxes of coal, and 130-level XP!
Works in 1.21.4 thanks dude❤ And if u want not to die when u go in the over world, make sure u place torches on the platform so when u go back to the over world there would not be 1 million wither skeletons charging at u , and when u fully Finnished the farm make sure to remove those torches before u stay afk
I added an iron golem behind the killing chamber and changed some of the glass for slabs so that the Wither Skeletons see the golem, that makes them fall down pretty consistently :)
Thank you so much!! Works amazing, but 3 things for people building this 1. Get good gear and a bow, since when you're building the platform, theres a bunch of blaze always gonna be shooting fire at you, and its really annoying. 2. Either block off the platform portal after lighting it or don't light it until the farm is ready. When i was building, for some reason the portal went to like -5 y underground, and when i went through it, I almost died because of the wither skeletons that went through. 3. Could just be me that was having trouble linking portals for this farm, but personally what i did when creating the portal for acessing the farm, was getting the coordinates for the portal in the nether, timing those coords by 8 (not the y), and going to them in the overworld. this worked better than entering the portals in the nether for me, because for some reason all my portals went underground. Hope this helps a few people!
Am I missing something? I've done all steps correctly and even went a step further and spawn-proofed the ENTIRE fortress, still, no wither skeletons are coming through even after waiting 45 minutes and more... they spawn on the platform when I'm down at the fortress, but when I afk at the kill chamber, nothing ever comes through the portal (even with simulation distance turned to max)
try double checking what the highest block of the fortress is (stand on the fence gate and subtract 2 from that height). that is most likely the problem
For anyone not getting wither skeletons to spawn, all you have to do is wait at least 5 to 15 minutes. also destroy the original overworld portal you can also lower the killing area by 2. last make sure you are alone if your on a server
amazing farm!! i got 11 skulls in less than 10 minutes. if you have troubles with no skeletons spawning check if the platform is made from nether bricks.
Okay so I doubted the farm until I fixed it.. I'll try to solve the issues I have struggled with (if it helps lol) Issue 1: Why do the bridged portals lead the same way? Ans: I have no idea, but apparently that's how it's supposed to be. As long as you did your math correctly and followed carefully as the video you're fine Issue 2: Why are the skeletons not spawning? Ans: Either you have Optifine or another client that is increasingly slowing your farm down. Switching to the original launcher will increase the spawning (it worked for me) Issue 3: Why aren't the wither skeletons not moving from the portal they came from? Ans: I have no idea again, but placing blocks above the portal and connecting it to the other made it work for me. Make sure the wither skeletons can walk by making it 3 blocks high. I also saw someone talking about putting a golem above the "high" portal on the bridge (at the top) to lure the skeletons which worked for them. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Question 1: Can I use different blocks to build the base of the farm? Ans: No, wither skeletons can only spawn on netherbricks. Just get as much netherrack as you can get and smelt it. Question 2: Can I replace the walls with wither roses to increase the spawning rate? Ans: Yes, it definitely increases spawning rates. (Thats all I could answer lmao) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ But also, if you see no skeletons spawning, you can always lower your killing spot down by 1~2 blocks, therefore they can spawn and fall down. If you have any other questions/concerns, lmk down below and I can try to solve it for you (I am not smart)
nvm I'm still tryna fix mine lol- it was probably just that the fortress I had was filled up with blocks everywhere- I also kinda built it towards the soul sand instead of near the fortress which I'll soonly fix to see if it works.

If you follow this tutorial 100% it will work. I play on a server with friends and built it. After 20 minutes I thought it doesn‘t work but then the wither skeletons spawned in like crazy. Multiple skeletons per second!!
this works in 1.21. if yours isnt working, 1. spawn proof EVERYTHING with slabs besides your own platform. 2. add water in your overworld portals platform to make them flow into the higher portal. 3. add snow golems behind the higher portal to aggravate them and theyll go towards the portal faster. 4. lastly, just wait at least 15 min for it to warm up, then you should be getting decent amounts of wither skeletons consistently
When I went through the first portal I was supposed to went through, I was welcomed by the whole horde of wither skeletons one-hitting me and losing all my enchanted netherite gear, thanks mate lol
@davidsmusic31 you know what was the worst part. I bought an entire shulker box full of fire resistance potions. It got blown up by a ghast and I was 1500+ blocks away from my home nether portal.
@davidsmusic31 I also at one point entered through the wrong portal and I ended up in the wither skeleton sky area on accident. Let's just say I popped a totem and fell into the ocean with 2 hearts.
Got 20 Skulls after using the farm for 10 minutes. I would advice to get fire resistance and getting a lot of totems if you are building it in survival.
I thought you had to build it 1 block lower than the highest point in the fortress? Great build tho! Btw when in a soul sand valley or warped forest, the fortress doesn't have to be 100 blocks away from any other biome, you will only get around 90 skulls per hour. As long as the part you build it is in the soul sand valley or warped forest. If you have other questions, please ask!
I have a question can i make this farm inside the soul sand valley? Like the fortress goes through a like soul sand hill and there is a crossing in that hill so i just wanted to know if i can make it there?
Yo, tip for building this farm; Bring plenty of fire resistance potions! You are immune to Blazes if you drink one and trust me. No matter if you are building it in a blocked off area or not. You will get pelted.

So I followed the vid and it does not work. I went to the overworld no withers. I stayed at the kill platform no withers, I don’t know why and can’t figure it out. Trying to find comments on why but everyone seems to be getting it

Didn't work for me until I started messing around with the portals, I went through the portal next to the iron golem and was teleported to the overworld portal closest to the cobwebs. Thank you for the tutorial truly helps with wither skulls!

Update- wasn't working for me then put an afk player within the range and now works perfectly
for people having trouble, double check your heights on everything, i had one component height wrong and it broke everything until i fixed it. MOST of the spawn area MUST BE in the soul sand valley. THIS WONT WORK WELL ANY OTHER BIOME.
great farm! was a little tedious to build but works great! TIPS: bring invisibility potions so you wont get attacked by stuff while building, if u are on a realm wither skeletons will not come thru if u have friends in the over world they have to be in the nether or end, and if your going to build this i strongly advise building this in soul swept valley its the best)
if you're having issues, watch the original farm tutorial. it does a great job of explaining where to build for the best rates. common mistakes: 1. you're in a server and someone else is online. (it won't work, the skeletons will immediately despawn) 2. being impatient. it takes maybe 5-15 min for this thing to start up. 3. build too close to the fortress. if you build above part of the fortress, other mobs will spawn underneath, ruining the rates. watch the original to understand the "bounding boxes" of fortresses so you can build it at an optimal location

had to spawn proof cause my fortress location was filled with land around and above but after I spawned proofed the farm was working really well! Tysm for the tutorial!
u should make an iron golem behind the nether portal (like 1 or 2 blocks away) in the AFK platform, so when they appear in that portal, they will see that iron golem and will try to kill him, then they will fall into the kill zone (u will need to break the cristal blocks so they can see the golem)@@wolfgodfenrir3524
Tested on a 1.21 server, it works, but you either need to be alone (just you on the server) or someone must be loading that overworld portal bridge, using chunk loader (like those from Vanilla Tweaks) doesn't work.

For anyone not getting wither skeletons to spawn, all you have to do is wait at least 5 to 10 minutes, you have to wait for the over world bridge you built to fill up with wither skeletons.

For anyone experiencing that wither skeletons are not appearing through the portal in the nether, the change that helped me was to make the platform on the nether roof 1 block lower. (glass platform) AFK-ing 1 block lower should make the wither skeletons run through!
This might be my problem, but what makes them more likely to come through only lowering the platform? The withers are definitely stacked in the overworld walkway, but I only had 3 come through in a 30 minute span.

@@NightMaree404 It works, but it's very slow. I solved some of the problem by spawn proofing more of the area around it.
However, when watching the original creator's video, he explains the process more in-depth. I should've built it to the side of it to get more spawns.
Furthermore, I haven't gotten wither roses yet, so my spawns will increase a lot when I get those and place them on the ground. I was simply wanting to get enough skulls for the future farms I'd like to do with the roses, and I've gotten enough for 8 wither fights to do this.

Ok so after building the farm I found one thing that can help improve it. Sometimes the wither skeletons will just sit on the bridge and get stuck and would disrupt the flow of the farm. I fixed this by just putting an iron golem behind the protal that teleports them to the killing chamber, this makes them try to go to the portal and ups the amount of skeletons that go through the protal

A ghast blew up a chunk of my farm, and blazes shot at me like no tomorrow, but this farm does work. It took a long ass time though like 3.5 hours excluding the rebuilding.
If you still play, just remember to have fire resistance for the blazes. Their ranged attacks become useless

I linked up a portal very close to the one in the overworld so when i am about to be done i can go through and get all the clogged up wither skeletons in the overworld into the nether to kill alot before i go. Make sure to do this as you get 20-40 more skeletons every time you want to be done with the farm
I would also suggest flying up about 40 blocks with an elytra to remove everything such as blazes that are taking up places in the mobcap
Also to increase rates you can reduce your render distance (Only works on singleplayer)
IF YOUR NOT REDUCING RENDER DISTANCE then your rates could be lowered. As soon as i decreased mine i see about 2x the wither skulls (blue forest farm)
Some tips that i think are useful. I built this farm in 1.21 and work greats but i did some changes.
1) the glass Y on killing chamber 1 block lower.
2) instead of cobwebs i put 2 water source that take the Withers to the other portal so you don t need to wait 5 min every time.
3) put 2 open trapdoors in the killing zone so the skeletons will fell easier.
It works great in 1.21 if you need any help ill try my best to fix your problems

for me the farm does spawn skeletons but not enough and only when my friend is in the overworld and i am on the killing station
@@meesheuij for this farm on multiplayer you need to be the only player in nether to work. If you get low amount of skeletons make sure you built the platform in a spot that is all in a nether fortress zone

Hi all. This does work in 1.21 and I took the suggestion from another to build the killing chamber 1 block lower and instead built the whole nether roof part 1 block lower. It works very well in a creative copy. I will let y’all know once I build in survival!!

If it stops just try leaving and rejoining. I built on a realm and it fixed the issue.
Another update. DO NOT!!!! Light the original portal at the fortress or you will die instantly when you go into the overworld from the nether roof portal. Entities can spawn portals in 1.21. Wait until everything is built and then light. I ended up dying because of this (not hardcore so it’s fine, but almost lost my stuff)

Works like a charm on v1.21 java, took some time to make it, have at least 10x fire resistance potions when building farm in nether. Otherwise, have full geared and equip chest armor when going to overworld with first portal you go through and run for it:) Otherwise use elytra to escape and eat food fast. Thanks for a very good guide and tutorial on this kinda farm, apreciate all your efforts.
what do u do once you escape i dont want them to spawn in overworld (if i break block of portal in overworld another one js spawns when wither skele walks thru)

To those who waited and nothing and I found no wither skeletons (Like I'd done).
Make sure that your spawning platform is within the Soul sand valley. If still no withers were spawned. Try lowering down your afk platform by 1 one block, or maybe 2.

@@Greenrooster393 no, you don't need to desend the portal, only the AFK platform.
No withered skeletons are spawned because you are out too far away the spawning platform, way too far that it is outside the "spawning sphere" surrounding you. So, basically lower the afk platform a bit, try 1 block, then 2 if 1 doesn't work.

tips is when build the portal in fortress DO NOT light it on or when you go in the portal on nether roof you will face with 3000 wither skeleton in the overworld wait to kill you
you can light the portal in fortress when you done with the overworld setup then it will work correctly
also use fire resistance when in the fortress

My friend and I just attempted to make it and the portal to the overworld leads almost directly to an ancient city. Thankfully not DIRECTLY inside of it O_O I would've cried if it had 😆

7:49 WARNING you will come out of the portal with 50+ wither skeletons. Almost lost my hardcore world, but lucky had a totem. Insane farm tho, started working immediately and got a full stack of skulls in 30 min.

easiest is to build a portal on the nether ceiling close to your base. very easy to elytra the nether roof at 1/8 the distance!

If anyone is having the problem where no wither skeletons enter, I did some troubleshooting and I have fixed it in my world. What worked for me was to go into the original portal at the platform, then break where you end up, then go back to the platform, break that portal and then go back to the killing area and lower the afk platform with 1-4 blocks. Now it works great!

I added an iron golem behind the killing chamber and changed some of the glass for slabs so that the Wither Skeletons see the golem, that makes them fall down pretty consistently :)

1. Get good gear and a bow, since when you're building the platform, theres a bunch of blaze always gonna be shooting fire at you, and its really annoying.
2. Either block off the platform portal after lighting it or don't light it until the farm is ready. When i was building, for some reason the portal went to like -5 y underground, and when i went through it, I almost died because of the wither skeletons that went through.
3. Could just be me that was having trouble linking portals for this farm, but personally what i did when creating the portal for acessing the farm, was getting the coordinates for the portal in the nether, timing those coords by 8 (not the y), and going to them in the overworld. this worked better than entering the portals in the nether for me, because for some reason all my portals went underground.
Hope this helps a few people!
Am I missing something? I've done all steps correctly and even went a step further and spawn-proofed the ENTIRE fortress, still, no wither skeletons are coming through even after waiting 45 minutes and more... they spawn on the platform when I'm down at the fortress, but when I afk at the kill chamber, nothing ever comes through the portal (even with simulation distance turned to max)
try double checking what the highest block of the fortress is (stand on the fence gate and subtract 2 from that height). that is most likely the problem

amazing farm!! i got 11 skulls in less than 10 minutes. if you have troubles with no skeletons spawning check if the platform is made from nether bricks.
Okay so I doubted the farm until I fixed it..
I'll try to solve the issues I have struggled with (if it helps lol)
Issue 1: Why do the bridged portals lead the same way?
Ans: I have no idea, but apparently that's how it's supposed to be. As long as you did your math correctly and followed carefully as the video you're fine
Issue 2: Why are the skeletons not spawning?
Ans: Either you have Optifine or another client that is increasingly slowing your farm down. Switching to the original launcher will increase the spawning (it worked for me)
Issue 3: Why aren't the wither skeletons not moving from the portal they came from?
Ans: I have no idea again, but placing blocks above the portal and connecting it to the other made it work for me. Make sure the wither skeletons can walk by making it 3 blocks high. I also saw someone talking about putting a golem above the "high" portal on the bridge (at the top) to lure the skeletons which worked for them.

Ans: No, wither skeletons can only spawn on netherbricks. Just get as much netherrack as you can get and smelt it.
Question 2: Can I replace the walls with wither roses to increase the spawning rate?
Ans: Yes, it definitely increases spawning rates.
(Thats all I could answer lmao)

But also, if you see no skeletons spawning, you can always lower your killing spot down by 1~2 blocks, therefore they can spawn and fall down.

nvm I'm still tryna fix mine lol- it was probably just that the fortress I had was filled up with blocks everywhere- I also kinda built it towards the soul sand instead of near the fortress which I'll soonly fix to see if it works.
For the part on replacing stone walls with wither roses, do I still have to put the 4 corners of stone walls with sea turtle egg?

this works in 1.21. if yours isnt working,
1. spawn proof EVERYTHING with slabs besides your own platform.
2. add water in your overworld portals platform to make them flow into the higher portal.
3. add snow golems behind the higher portal to aggravate them and theyll go towards the portal faster.
4. lastly, just wait at least 15 min for it to warm up, then you should be getting decent amounts of wither skeletons consistently

I nearly died 3 times making this farm in my hardcore world, this is one of the roughest farms I've ever built in Minecraft.
Mainly because of the annoying blazes shooting you down while building the edges of the platform lol

Btw when in a soul sand valley or warped forest, the fortress doesn't have to be 100 blocks away from any other biome, you will only get around 90 skulls per hour. As long as the part you build it is in the soul sand valley or warped forest. If you have other questions, please ask!

Yo, tip for building this farm; Bring plenty of fire resistance potions! You are immune to Blazes if you drink one and trust me. No matter if you are building it in a blocked off area or not. You will get pelted.

Didn't work for me until I started messing around with the portals, I went through the portal next to the iron golem and was teleported to the overworld portal closest to the cobwebs. Thank you for the tutorial truly helps with wither skulls!

If your rates are a lot lower than expected (or you see wither skeletons bunching up along a wall near the golem), lower the portal at the spawning platform by 1 Y level (without adjusting anything else). This fixes a sporadic pathfinding issue.
PAPER AND SPIGOT servers often disable entities in playerless dimensions, which results in mobs cramming to death and teleporting their drops to the kill chamber. You can work around this issue by having a friend AFK within 128 blocks of the overworld bridge, or you can convert the overworld bridge into a kill chamber."
Update- wasn't working for me then put an afk player within the range and now works perfectly

this farm works great in 1.20 after 2 minutes i saw the first wither skeleton, awesome farm!
for people having trouble, double check your heights on everything, i had one component height wrong and it broke everything until i fixed it. MOST of the spawn area MUST BE in the soul sand valley. THIS WONT WORK WELL ANY OTHER BIOME.
i had most of mine in warped forest and another bit of it in a crimson forest and nether wastes. it worked fine for me
great farm! was a little tedious to build but works great! TIPS: bring invisibility potions so you wont get attacked by stuff while building, if u are on a realm wither skeletons will not come thru if u have friends in the over world they have to be in the nether or end, and if your going to build this i strongly advise building this in soul swept valley its the best)

if you're having issues, watch the original farm tutorial. it does a great job of explaining where to build for the best rates. common mistakes:
1. you're in a server and someone else is online. (it won't work, the skeletons will immediately despawn)
2. being impatient. it takes maybe 5-15 min for this thing to start up.
3. build too close to the fortress. if you build above part of the fortress, other mobs will spawn underneath, ruining the rates. watch the original to understand the "bounding boxes" of fortresses so you can build it at an optimal location

u should make an iron golem behind the nether portal (like 1 or 2 blocks away) in the AFK platform, so when they appear in that portal, they will see that iron golem and will try to kill him, then they will fall into the kill zone (u will need to break the cristal blocks so they can see the golem)@@wolfgodfenrir3524

Tested on a 1.21 server, it works, but you either need to be alone (just you on the server) or someone must be loading that overworld portal bridge, using chunk loader (like those from Vanilla Tweaks) doesn't work.
