- Hi people. how are you doing? doing a vlogging about fragrance addiction, which is a serious issue, which also affected me in real life, i have shared some of my stories, struggles and troubles, and Im suggesting few things to combat Addiction, it may get very dangerous as you keep buying, as it stimulates your brain like a high end drug. I have also shared some of the new strategies I took to play the game fairer and more practically. hope some of you can relate and think these through.

The money I spent in perfume, I could purchase 5 Decimal land in the city or start a business . I sprayed the money in the air. I am a perfume addict. Very hard to control ! I stopped going to market. Stopping from buying perfume is like stopping from taking drugs. It hurts !
Just hold on a minute and see how many people appreciate you and watching you and enjoy your shares! And ignore all negativity and keep doing regularly
Brother , Monetize your channel you deserve it and there's nothing wrong in earning through your passion. You are spending for content and not earning through it ,this is insane. You just take care and do consider monetizing your channel bro.

The best suggestion Id give to a fellow addict is to find folks that have recovered from the same addiction, and learn from them.
I'm 29 years into recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, and I need a support team as much today as I did in 1988

Much respect. Thank you for your honesty. I've bought 150 bottles since March. It's way too much. Covid lockdown got to me. I spent no money on gas, travel, eating out, movies, concerts etc. Thankfully I had the money. Now that things are slowly getting back to normal , I'm done.
I have a VERY addictive personality. I collect watches and guitars. Thankfully fragrances are relatively cheap compared to those too.
I work very hard and make sacrifices other places. I don't own a TV, hence no cable bill. That's $125.00 a month.
I'm definitely done for a while, I enjoy this hobby more than I ever expected. Now I will take time to step back and enjoy what I have. From Nautica Voyage to Chanel Coromandel.

Amen Joy! Thanks for posting this. This is where I am in my fragrance journey now. I was lucky enough to get a more financially stable position and now have gone crazy trying to play catch up on all the scents I missed out on. So thanks for the "brake check" I needed it.
Man I was heading that way and had to stop fast. I sold everything except for my top 3. I only one 3 fragrances now. Nothing more.

It takes a real man to admit and face up to his addiction.
I like your advice about sampling. I myself figure I need a sample of 5 ml or sometimes even 10 ml to get a real feel for a fragrance. What I did not think of is your idea of then waiting a month, which I think is spectacularly sound advice. It's too easy to get caught up in the moment even if you've been patiently trying out a fragrance for a week of repeated wearings. Get some distance, and if the thing still stands out in your mind as something special, it's worth a buy. The other standard I would add is to consider purchases which expand your range. I like Mancera Red Tobacco and Parfums de Marly Carlisle, but to my nose they are very similar. And not cheap! Eventually I resolved to think about alternating purchases if/when I run out. I keep a log of things I've tried with notes on things I have owned or would like to own, and make notes about such alternating arrangements. Sometimes just logging that I like something and will consider buying it is enough to release me from the mania that otherwise only ends in a purchase. Great video about an important topic, Joy.

I started to get a little addicted collecting fragrances too.
Idk why but it just stimulated my mind so hard and I just wanted to constantly collect. I still want more than I have but I have to stop.
It’s not easy
I am struggling on a smaller scale with this. Spent way more than whats reasonable chasing that perfect fragrance. However, thousands of dollars later im still not there. Trying to change my perspective. My brain just constantly tells me that the next fragrance will be "the one."
Also a new subscriber but seen alot in past cpl wks. Sorry about the tough times. Being new, just as I heard of this with u, it made me notice I was getting slightly addicted myself. I'm sure I won't be alone and typical with ur style u have hit on a really serious issue. In a weird way u are the right person 2 be giving this message. I wouldn't wish it on u but mb this is just another part of ur journey. U mb got immersed in it but u didn't lose urself. This message ur giving proves that. Much love

I have a channel as well and Ive decided not to turn on the Ads either. I have no rhyme or reason either except I felt It would Discourage viewers to stay so for now as I grow I keep the ads off.

I DID THE MATH AND IF LIVE TILL 85 I CAN GO THROUGH 120 BOTTLES I HAVE 60 NOW AND I STARTED MY ADDICTION 4 MONTHS AGO , SO I WILL KEEP MY COLLECTION TO NO MORE THAN 125

I truly understand the addiction and caught mine early. I only buy things I'm going to wear and only buy 50ml or less now. Keep going brother I enjoy your videos.

Im coming from small country, Macedonia, and here we can't aloud to buy more than one fragrance in 2-3 months, so I get you!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. My situation is different because I am not a reviewer. I have limited my total amount of fragrances toTEN and I buy the best from my research and also get the largest bottle so I get the best price per milliliter. My wife has been a good influence on this. Love ADP Essenza and just found a 500ml for $240 USD which was a great price but also bought a 200ml of Chanel Coromandel at retail.
I go to Sephora an get up to 3 sample bottles .....Nordstrom you can get as many as you want fill your own samples .... Dillard’s free sample .. Although I’ve blind bought 20 bottles with no regrets at all
Hey Joy, please do a video for which fragrances you would keep if you sell the entire of your collection. You told you would keep around 30-40 bottles, I want to know which ones?

I think these videos about your personal journey are some of the most honest and valuable contributions to the community.
I know there are both real legal (international payments, etc) and potential pride/self-image issues to confront, but you really should find some way to accept contributions from your international fans.
If RUclips doesn't allow monetization in Bangladesh, then perhaps you could set up an Estonian company? (I understand their e-residency program makes it pretty straight forward...)

I tried the new mont blanc explorer yesterday i sprayed 6-8 sprays and it barely lasted 1 day the projection lasted maybe 3-4 hrs max feels more like the new patch of creed aventus but with some cheapness like if you mix zara and aventus together:)

just saw that video...well it looks funny but its true..you can easily addict even from buying fragrances..i am an example..ok i will tell you a story..im a taxi driver in athens.one day a customer entered smelling beautiful..so i asked him what are you wearing cause i loved the smell..he said pure havane..when i went home opened my pc and started watching fragrances reviews.i was so excited like entering a new world.so many options..i was thinking oh i want this i want that...i ented up buying 10 fragrances in a month..and you my friend joy are a bit responsible for that...no bad feelings:).anyway my point is that yes its easy to addict without even notice..so love fragrances and be careful..

monetize your channel and patreon too, if we want honest reviewers we need to support reviewers, or else it's just gonna turn to ads for big companies. Think of it like this Joy, you will tell people to buy decant before buying whole bottle right? Same as monetizing your channel and donating to you, you being honest helps our purchase decision just like buying a decant would, I'm sure people who appreciates your honesty can pay few dollars just to support you and see you grow
