yes, Beast is a prime example, Tag 4's , 4ku , MVP 17 The new Tag unit are great just not at 3 stars when there defense is looked at but now look at this tag switch characters have always been star Dependent.
Its like this, Ultra's are a cut above the rest you build teams around ultra's and use Lf's and 1% sparklings as side characters. It's evolution. :)

Not really tho, the tag androids were monsters despite the stars because they were designed to be that way, to excel above every other unit, but those new units are purposely held back by the fact that Ultras are supposed to be straight up better

I feel that a way for ultra units and LL units to be on more equal ground is to make ultra units in a more supporting role rather than a damage dealer, so rather than crazy damage they support other units so they put off more damage
That’s one idea but I get that if they give off “Ultra” tier support then the game will be pretty broken for a while. Either way I feel that ultra units could be expanded on in many directions, or they could make LL units crazier, like then nameku came out with his counter, something like that.
You are so right about pvp part. For a bit i tried to run a uni rep team(3*gofrieza, 6*transforming jiren,7*mui/3*revui) though not my best setup I got some dubs but mostly lost my matches to double/triple ultra teams which really demotivated me to try unique teams which is why I switched back to using my 5* ultra rose on leader and the diffrence in my win-lose ratio is very noticeable. They should nerf ultras to be only able to have one on a team and have it so that if someone brings multiple ultras then they can only be used for bench purposes. I am sick of having to give it my 200% to fight someone thats not even using their brain in the match.
Edit: if they dont do the suggestion I made then if someone brings more than one ultra in the fight then disable rising rush for them, they dont need the extra mechanics if they bringing 3 ultras.
I second this, honestly W solution. I also think that unique equipments or platinum equipments that are inaccessible to ultras should be dropped more frequently to help lf’s or other sparkings of a specific tag. That way I don’t have to sell my kidney to have fun in pvp. I run USV and UGB just to win games and tbh I don’t feel good doing so 🥲.
Imagine a system where only one ultra can be on a team or a nerf in pvp. Cause sometimes it can get annoying despite facing lots of them already, some just spam them a lot
My main gripe with ultra units is that their pull rate is crap. I feel like if toshi made ultra banners better to summon on it would be worth it. Ultra banners make things harder on newer players that want to pull an ultra character that could potentially be their favorite character they could either get lucky and pull it or they would have to continuously reroll until they get the ultra which takes a lot of time and energy. I feel like this isn’t very healthy in terms of bringing new players to the game if their just gonna get shafted when they summon for their favorite characters

The thing i don't like its that in dbl dont exist the nerf, they are dropping units always strongers and that forces you to pull always to "top units" and even with the zenkais that mechanic make practically useless so many units in a very fast period

Ngl, if they just make it so that you can only use one ultra unit per team, I think that they would be a lot more balanced. U can literally put UGB, UKB, or hit on leader slot with rose on a future setup, and it will work every time, not to mention mai's ridiculous hp buff. And if some players are complaining about some older ultras not getting any play, then maybe legends can make it so that ultras can be put on teams with other ultras that share the same ultra ability, so units like usg and usv can be played with ugb or kaioken can be played with hit. Idk, just a suggestion, tho it would definetely help balance them much more. Also, legends plz add multiple ultras per ultra banner.
I am a new player and I have been lucky to pull some of the new LF’s (but not Gofrieza) but I feel like when I luckily get these new LF’s I can’t really use them on my teams and I am not even going to try with the ultra banners because I think it’s just not worth my hard earned CC
There is still a lot pf stuff that can happen like a new white element unit like shallot i don't think it's likely but there is possibility. You know they could drop an LL that is so hype they need to give him a good kit nice abilities and stuff like that orange picolo could drop as an ultra too so,but is just a possibility❤❤.
The problem started when they decided to launch monthly Ultras instead of maintaining them less frequent because if every month they will release a broken meta unit that will surpass every LF on release then what's the point of summoning in LF when an Ultra will surpass overall all the game?

Well I will agree with you cause before getting rosè I was at 29 ranking and after that I jumped up to 50 out of no where and then only I started honing my skills cause I thought that now I at least have a chance

On one hand if suppose I were to be okay with how rigged the summoning system has become, I would definitely want the devs to may be give us the chance to choose the characters we don't have/ need level up (Example: I would love to have SP green baby Vegeta to level up but I can't since it rarely falls via summoning, and it will take forever using soul boosters, definitely want the LL Android siblings as I don't have one). Secondly, these LL banners for the love of God be done with hero/ extreme characters. We have banners for that as it is. It's high time developers introduced hard mode in story now. It will definitely act as a boost of encouragement for players that they can still recover those lost CCs and enjoy the game too.
Just to say I've been rocking with LF Cooler for 2-3 years(I forgot when he came out) he actually can handle UL pretty well, ofc damage will take a toll and can't demolish them but he can cook🔥 I'm surprised ppl haven't used him sooner. Literally Saiyans will always be meta and most of the UL units are Saiyans... I'll let that idea sit your head

Problem with lfs is that the 1% sparkings are better than 70% of lfs in the game. Look at jiren or zamasu or even pan.
Lol, tho if we're talking about respective lfs, beasthan is def better than pan. Tho, tbh, I love the one percent sparkings that they add, especially transforming cell and transforming jiren.

I think that DBL needs to take into account with this fact, I also think that instead of just releasing constant Ultras, we need a PvP update that basically makes it so that you can only run 1 Ultra unit on each team, the PvP side of things is just continually getting worse because of Ultra units only making a team 1600 ability bonus with Z+ equipment, against a team with 4000+ ability, being able to lose because of the many broken mechanics that the Ultra units provide for the user.
I pulled most of the lfs from this year (revui, buu bros, gofrieza) but even after i pulled them, they just couldnt compete... I tried getting rose but got absolutely shafted.. Spent 12k but got not a single copy of rose... And the thing is, i got a shit ton of lfs that i dint have (soh, vb, etc) to very low stars as sparkings have no 2x multipliers on their banners...
I woud say that to improve ultra banners, they need to have 2x z power and maybe some more lfs than the 5 or 6 in the banner
Ultra characters are goated for sure but revival Ui goku in my opinion is really good, he saves you from rising rush, one of the most annoying mechanics, his base ability, locks cover change and gives ki and 4 cards, and when he revives he locks cover change and has a long range special move which I feel like is better than purple UI’S. But ultras have for sure been on a new level if you don’t have at least one summable ultra, rank is going to be a bit tough.
i love ultra units but as a mostly f2p player its very hard to come up with enough cc to be able to actually pull a new ultra, especially since new ultras are releasing pretty much every month
People don’t mention how much damage beast really did to this game in this regard. I doubt we ever see an LF that crazy for a regular little celebration ever again lmao.
Short answer Yes and no legends limited units are great for their animations but their also bad because of them making them too broken we need more balanced units not meta breaking characters that ruins the game but for me overall they're good 👍

Lfs are so underwhelming now it feels pointless to summon on lf banners when you know an ultra is gonna come out soon and own the meta

I think nobody is gonna find this hard to get used to. Considering we experienced a meta where Zenkais were hard to get (which they fixed) and now is easier to get. Although personally its not the right way to move foward but its only a matter of time Ultras become less rare and has less bad banners. But at the same time i recommend people to get GoFrieza because well you may never experience their fun after their boost is gone. But if you're competitive in ranked then save until ultra.
I would say 17 and gofrieza were handled good really disappointed on how they did revui and buu bros tbh i guess they "buffed" revui but still both were big disappointments especially revui for me because ui sign is my second favourite form i didn't even bother getting him
So far, I found a flaw on the new unit’s Rising Rush protection.
All I gotta do is wait for them to do a tackle or any arts card and rising rush them.

Tbh i really hate ultra units, not the units themselves they're pretty cool, but like you its impossible for a f2p like me to get even 1 copy because the banners are terrible and the rates even worse. The other problem is that a regular ultra unit with 3 star just demolishes lfs with 5 or 6 stars with make things much more unfair and very p2p heavy which is terrible for the development of the games community. Me personally im an OG player and ive quit a couple of times but i always get back because i like playing pvp, that's i still haven't quit but i must say its very difficult to even try to compete as a f2p player since this game has been turning in the last couple of years to a p2p only game which is sad tbh

I think for anni or new year they release a 1k cc banner that guarantees you 1 of a couple ultras that are broken at that time no f2p ultras in the banner so you can’t get shafted or they should make a ultra banner so where two of the summons have ultra x2 rates during special events
they are a hell of a lot better than the red ssj2 gohan zenkai meta
Spent 23k on tag banner(got all characters 7*) but don't know why spent my last 8k on rose banner.

Personally think it's no the unit, but the stars you need them at. To have relevant LF you need to pull them twice or 3 times to even be ran, Ultras you just jeed to pull once to have a dominant meta. They gotta start making LFs at 3 stars be good or give us more stars in yhe first pull.
Yeah, ultras shouldn't be 2000 zpower per pull, they are meant to be rare so make them only 600 zpower per pull like the rest of the game

One way to nerf the ultra units is to not have them on the boost in pvp, like ultra rose has been on boost SINCE RELEASE.

They need to make LF like beast Gohan to compete with the new ultras and gave them some of the broken abilities same as ultra units and make them like beast then the LF units be so much good a LF unit that is the combain of ultra and broken abilities the thing that make the ultra units broken is there unique gauges like ultra GB and rosé and hit and kid buu all of them have broken gauges
Ultras are way too overpowered for their rarity. It makes someone who has the newest ultra 50x more likely to win even if the player who uses him is bad

Honestly ultras are cool and I think they should stay in the game. They just needed to release like 1 or 2 ultras a year just to keep them limited. Imagine there's like 2 ultras a year, then teams will consist of 1 or 2 ultras and the rest being lf units. Sure the ultras can still be better than the lf units but you can still use the lfs because you can't just make a full ultra team since ultras are not common

I have been really on the edge of taking a break from the game solely due to the fact that I can’t pull an Ultra making pvp so much harder and makes the game less fun for me.
definitely taking a break might help out and if you ever get the urge to play again, it might feel a bit refresing
They need to allow players to leave matches before the match begins. This would allow players to choose what they want to go up against. If they aren't willing to nerf units that are completely op, then at least let us choose who we go against.

tbh wayyy too many characters on the 5th Anniversary banner. I keep on getting vegeta/trunks & goku/bardock animation and no goku/frieza. I have almost red star'd the other character except for the ex characters.

I have ultra gogeta and vegito making up triple ultra team (amd one can argue ultra gogeta is tad outdated eventually we will get another ultra fusion warrior to replace him
And since all these ultra happen to line up with a zenkai unit (ll ultra vegito purple, gogeta base form blue and now ssj3 gotenks yellow) to zenkai buff the trio of ultras
What is the reason to use anything else? Not to mention these units have access to some ludicrous equipment they should have kept ultras in just singles per tag, one power opponent, one fusion warrior, one God ki...ect ect

Getting lfs don't hit anymore for sure. And they feel like qn avg sp with an Lf and ultras are op,cooler, and just better in general but lfs will never be the same anymore

And zenkai Lf vb when his zenkai got announced people were scared they thought he would be broken but when they saw his kit they were upset beacouse he got nothing and yea I know toshi was scared of him being number 1 again but look and usg kit and Lf vb kit whatever they did zenkai vb was never gonna be better than usg whatever they did to zenkai vb he would never be better than usg and now in the current meta vb is just not good anymore because they gave him nothing and I would argue Lf gogeta blue would look better than zenkai Lf vb it's just sad that zenkai vb fell off so fast but who knows many vb can get his plat in part 3 when ultra vb releases but knowing toshi they will give him nothing on his plat
