Birds are not colour-blind! Most of them have tetrachromatic vision, which means they see even more colour than we do. Pigeons are actually pentachromatic.
how much lead would you give for a pigeon on a windless day using a 12 bore O/U at 50 yards using a 3/4 choke and in an acc measurement please if you have time to answer this not just saying not too much and not too little as ten people have already told me i use no.4 36 gram or no.5 32 gram
At 1.35 and 1.36 George hits that pigeon twice at about 65 yards( I think that's how far away they said the tree were) and you see a strong puff of feathers each time showing just how thight the pattern still is at that distance IF you hit it spot on. Just goes to show that long shots are all about shooting the right piece of sky cos the pattern is still good enough to do the job out at that range. If only I knew how he does what he does!
Outstanding Mark. ( pun intended ) I find red fish net stockings particularly effective on quail. LOL Mike Powel + Roy Lupton = New Fieldsport channel, the gentlemen's Fieldsport channel. Fantastic effort FSB, your presenters have shown they will go the extra mile. LMAO
I've often wondered about the cammo thing myself. Of course, the wider discussion is going to be influenced by companies who make a living from selling camouflage, so maybe a pinch of salt is needed. Cammo suits seem to be designed to hide the hunter from human eyes. What research is available as to what colours are seen by ducks, rabbits or deer and how would this affect the cammo's appearance ?
Insure got a fact for u pigeons are not colour blind and have a view of 320 degrees I love shooting like I guys- doing it everday for 2 yrs and archery too great show👍👌🏻
Tristan Jones a lot of people in my local area take an amount of their load and sell the rest to the local pub which buys there drinks for the afternoon (after the guns have been dropped off at a safe time lace of course)

I actually built part of the old Sporting Shooter website!
At the last shoot I was at I was told off for using my second barrel to finish off a bird, they said it would make the meat unfit to be eaten.
Mankini's in Camo - let me have the suppliers details ASAP! George Digweed is a pleasure to watch (Sorry Mark) atb
I feel slightly queezy after that camo bit...
Does this mean that FSC are not looking for anymore camo companies to sponsor them?
