Goddamned...tell us the results of that shortened barrel. If you appear in this show, it shouldn't be just to push your magazine...this show deserves better than being a marketing-vehicle for a magazine
I've shot a crow at 175 meters with a 17 hmr. Its not that bad in the wind, you just need to put in the work and shoot targets when it is windy so you get a feel for what the wind will do to the bullet, same with 22lr Edit: The first ghillie scene was not very good, was able to spot him right away when looking at the screen while cleaning my t1x
I 95% guarantee these "I spotted him right away" comments are coming from either novice hunters or people that have never hunted and don't understand animals. They don't see like we do, and are not accustomed to camo, nor know to look for it. Their vision is different and operate more on hearing and smell. I have hunted all my life in and out of camo, and even with skittish squirrels, as long as you remain still and quiet, you will get your bag limit.
Folks, Thanks for mentioning the petition to allow the use of 22 rim-fire pistols for sporting purposes. However, showing a slow motion film of a full-bore black powder pistol spitting fire and brimstone is entirely unhelpful. Perhaps a film of a sober looking target shooter popping away at the Olympics would have been a better idea. The anti's don't need any help.
Dear Mr Roaf We hunters are not fighting the VC or the Taliban in the Home Counties, just the odd bunny or roe deer! Please, please stop confusing hunters with snipers - especially as the local Filth do not like that type of behaviour! Regards Walter Mitty
Dear Walter Mitty, I agree that hunters are not fighting VC or Taliban. I teach people from all backgrounds from bird watchers , wildlife photographers and air soft gamers how to gain the advantage using camouflage. On our courses people play sniper games where they get to test their skills to hunt and shoot another sniper with airsoft rifles (as shown in the clip). I agree that a man is more critical than a bunny. I also carry out licenced surveillance using camouflage in order to prevent/gather information or evidence of crime. Being ex police I can say that behaviour of this kind is not frowned upon and is more than appropriate in these circumstances. I apologise if there was any confusion between hunting and sniper skills. Regards David Roaf
Woodoak5962 You apology is gratefully received. But its not the confusion of skills. I know the history of snipers & have been a hunter all my life! Its the blurring of the mindset - e.g: when civvies dress up like Chris Kyle to stalk a deer or a rabbit! I am glad to be corrected about the Police's point of view. In as far as that the Police would take a calm, rational, common sense, and most importantly, an unbiased point view of a person dressed in a ghillie suit with an AR15 walking/stalking in the countryside. Regards Walter Mitty
People enjoy a peaceful walk in our countryside to b with & respect (all wildlife) ..or what tiny amount of it is left , we find it weird & psychologicaly unsettling & disturbing that there r weirdo hiding away (invisible snipers) lurking sneakily it make us v concerned of what could happen to us , iv never liked guns & the fact u r (invisible) is menacing , sneaky snipers ....
Nice one Charlie great show as usual. I look forward to this and airheads every week
As always, an enjoyable video...good content again this week,..thanks very much Charlie & Co.
Spot the ghillie could make a nice variation on where's Wally. I spotted him both times but only because I had already seen the colour of his suit.
The handgun you show is a Rogers and Spencer cap and ball revolver. They are already legal in the UK!
another good one this week!
My word, Tony Belas! I was in the army with you Tony. Get in touch. Jeremy
