🥣HOW I PREPARE MY LECA: I just rinse with cool water in a colander or bucket with holes
💦FIRST MONTH: Water only the leca…do not allow any water to sit in reservoir, once a week or when plant shows signs of dryness (NO NUTRIENTS)
AFTER a month to 6 weeks (when plants begin showing signs of expedient growth) NUTRIENT WATER: Add 1 teaspoon Dyna_Gro Foliage Pro to 1 gallon RO or fresh drinkable water.
*EVERY 3-6 MONTHS (I average once every six months for this): FLUSH THE LECA… • #leaching #houseplants...

Thank you so much for the nutrient water tip!! I was getting anxious since I haven’t ordered my nutrients yet so I’m happy to hear that I should wait a couple weeks before doing so! ❤️

Thank you for this video. Plants that I have issues growing are what I call the crybaby groups! LOL! Begonias, Pileas, Peperomias. I only have a few of them because, they are always on the struggle bus to heaven. Ihave great humidity, 65-70+, so that is not the issue. Hoyas do okay so lighting should be fine. So maybe it is the soil, or minerals in our hard water. Have you tried any of them in semi? All of my others pothos, Philos, Ficus, Monstera, Alocasias, calatheas, etc...(only rain or bottled for prayer types)- do well/okay for me in soil here in KY. Thanks again, loved the information. Have a great day! Happy growing!

linda may Thank you so much for commenting and loving the video- yes I have tried all of these in semi hydroponics the peperomias have
done amazing the begonias I hate converting because of the fine roots it’s just a chore and they don’t don’t give me that much joy in the first place, pileas do awesome-One of my semiHydro friends swears that begonias do amazing I just don’t have the patience to convert them because I don’t really love them in the first place

@@prettyinplants9580 This could be a good experiment for the ones on my struggle bus. I'm at the point I have no more room for anymore plants 400+ , but I'm trying to save these few I already have. These plants are crazy expensive in my area. The Pilea Pepermoides is still $25 at our nursery. Painted Lady Philodendron,6 inch pot $200. So you can see why I try to save them if I can. Thank you again, love your channel.

@@prettyinplants9580 Sorry, I was just saying the cost, I so did not buy that plant. Not spending 200 on anything that does not have the words albo and monstera in it. LOL Thanks I watch BEBEE when I get the time. College, life, and my YT channel keeps me busy lately. I just so happened across your channel last week I believe when surfing. Glad I found you.

Do you have any spider plants and if so, do you rate them as easy or needy. If not, do you have any plans to acquire one in the future? Thank you.

Hello I did have one and I would rate it as pretty easy it’s seem to like to dry out a lot between waterings but I just like other plants better than spider plants and so I gave it away

My rattlesnake plant also did not do well. Maybe because my water reservoir is at 1/3 level. Do you suggest i just mist the leca?

+MD Traveller I never do that much water-no water at first...and then when there is actual water in reservoir...one finger high to two fingers
