I quit again recently. Always been sensitive to it. It whacks out my adrenals. Green tea (in butter tea form) in moderation is the most I will do from time to time which feels much better on my body.
I quit coffee for 4 hours!! Lol I have been having shortness of breath when I over do it on the coffee. I have about 4 cups throughout the day and my adrenals are shot! So I'm going to give it up for good now. Thanks for this video, you are so inspirational! ❤
I have quit caffeine 3 times before for months at a time and I always felt so focused and naturally energized after just a few days of withdrawal headaches. Just gotta get over that hill. We got this! 💪
You quit coffee wrong, if you switch to tea first then quit the tea you will avoid the headaches, I've quit coffee multiple times and this method always helps me avoid headaches. I believe it is due to the l-theanine in tea or some other metabolite that helps to metabolize caffeine. I've used black tea, green tea, and matcha so long as it has caffeine in it I am aware that there oxalates in tea but it will help to avoid headache. I have yet to experiment with l-theanine to see if it helps.
I also went cold turkey around the end of November at the beginning I needed it to feel normal, every time I was walking near a coffee shop I was like breathing deep so I could get any caffeine through that smelly air🤣🤣🤣 now over 2 months later,I don't even care about coffee is just good not depending on anything to live life🌞🌞🌞
I don’t see the blanket?
I quit coffe for 30 days but went back. It’s such a simple pleasure that I feel doesn’t cost me that much. My grandmother drank coffee until she was 98.
Maybe she would have made it to 110 if she didn't drink coffee
My grandparents are still alive and in their early 100s. They eat Vietnamese traditional diet - lots of herbs, carbs, meat and seafood. Pretty much everything.
you went back because your diet is shit and your body do not produce sufficient energy without this pesticide, also 98 is not old especialy for a woman... but yes enjoy your daily cup of cadmium.
Coffee has its place. Perhaps too much isn't healthy fornyoir nerves or bones or cortisol stress hormone. But one or 2 a day can help with metabolism and clarity of thinking. Black coffee is much better than white with sugar which is perhaps the real issue.
@@tinakathleen8571 I assume you have the same opinion for cocoa products knowing that cadmium has a lifespan of more than 20 years after exposure, it just feel like you're reassuring yourself about your addiction also coffee is only metabolized by the enzyme p450 ,this enzyme is used only to filter out toxins that have a negative impact on the body and if you simply consume not enough protein or take certain supplements this enzyme will be inhibited i let you imagine the result...
It took me 60 days to kick my old coffee habit and I never looked back! Changed me and my life for the better! Now I have energy all the time without NEEDING coffee stimulation.
Same!
60 days? Did you have headaches that long? That must have been brutal.
I quit coffee before I started carnivore, and these two changes have really helped my anxiety and I sleep now.
caffeine is really the hidden monster behind drug induced anxiety and sleep ...i have left tea for about 4 months the sleep is deeper and more restorative plus i can sleep anytime .
Me too. I quit 40 days ago. Sleeping better. More calm. More sustainable energy all day. No rollercoaster of energy. No chasing that high.
Same thing happened to me & my cortisol levels went down. I was stressed 😫
Organic coffee with heavy cream - 2 a day. Animal based diet - if this is THE only "problem" I have left, I'll take it! lol
Lost 76 pounds in 8 months ..only walking as exercise.....even with the coffee. Great content
Can your drop your company you recommend. I think I might be drinking a chemical factory.

Same!! Coffee is my last plant thing I need to get rid of but, I really enjoy my coffee and I’ve cut everything else out. I do drink 2 cups a day, I feel like if I get the sugar craving, coffee helps me get past it. I don’t think I will get rid of it anytime soon.
I may or may not be drinking coffee while watching this 👀👀
Thanks for the video!

I gave up coffee for 90 days. I did not feel any better. However, I am definitely happier when I started drinking it again. So for now I have no intention to give up again. I drink it loaded with butter.
Same! I like myself and my life on coffee and it doesn’t seem to hold me back from reaching health goals
I used to drink coffee everyday, then every other day, now 2 times a week. No difference. I think im going back to drinking everyday 😂
My observation also, to each his own😊
It can take a year or two to feel the full benefit of quitting if you drank for a long time
@@phendranaa I might consider it, since I am still borderline obese after 5 years carnivore.... gained the weight mostly when i took time off carnivore when I traveled internationally or was sick with flu/covid - haven't been sick for 20 years before vax...
Coffee is something that just makes me happy, and I don't feel that it has negatively impacted my life. In this current world of violence, hate and political unrest, coffee is the least of my worries! I LOVE coffee, and even just holding my warm coffee cup and sharing coffee time with my family and friends is one of the best parts of my day!

To each...
Yes!
That's fake happiness. Coffee is a drug.
Nance, you have spoken for all coffee lovers everywhere.
My Grand mom use to give me coffee when i was little with toast in it. I've been drinking coffee since i was 5 yrs old and i'm 71 now. No way in hell would i ever give up coffee at this point in my life. No reason whatsoever. And hearing what you're going through, there's no way i'm going through that. Quitting carbs and sugar was enough for me. I enjoy it and will continue to drink it.
🌟For sure the sugar and carbs cutting is HELL🌟
Coffee to a 5 yrs old??😏🤦♀️🤦♀️👎
No wonder it's a lifetime dependency.
The book actually recommends never going cold turkey, especially because of the headaches elimination slowly is what it recommends
It definitely changed my life for the better when I Joined SBG back in August 2022 and read the caffeine blues book. I was a daily caffeine addict for 40 years! I saved tons of money as well. 😊💕🙌🏻
Love you, Susan ❤🙌
This has totally convinced me to never give up my coffee.
Same. It was my resolution.
Failed again. 😂
😂 that’s what I was thinking! I’m going to keep watching for updates from her if the good part finally kicks in….!
To quit coffee you need to wean yourself off it for at least a week with nodoze(caffeine tablets), preferably 2 weeks. I quit coffee this way and I was fine with almost no withdrawals besides being a little extra tired the 2nd day after I cut the nodoze.
Lol😂
That’s why she said “20 days”. She must’ve started again after that.
I have been a black coffee drinker since I was a little girl. I drink a pot of coffee a day and I've loved the taste and the feel of a hot cup near me. I've always associated coffee with love and friendship. There's always coffee on when family and friends gather. I understand it is a real addiction, but I truly am afraid to start the process of quitting. While on carnivore, I've recognized that coffee is my holding me back. I still have a few cravings for food when I drink coffee and it messes with me psychologically. I feel like I need to quit, but I'm overwhelmed by the process.
I’m still viciously protective of my cup of coffee so I’ll be cheering you on for now..
coffee has more benefits then down sides. its not all about the caffeine
@@doomslayerforever2858 it could be. But I don't like addiction to anything.
You get my vote
I went cold-turkey on January 15th. Stopped all sugar, artificial sweetners and coffee, which ruined my attempts to do carnivore before because caffeine made me tired, anxious and shaky which gave me carb cravings from hell. The first week I had shakes on my whole body, but now im happily in ketosis and absolutely love it!!!
I was doing raw carnivore and loved it. Feeling sober and even I made a decision to stay addicted to coffee and back slid to carbs (pizza, etc). I sware coffee is a delivery system for carbs.
I have switched to decaf coffee-and I think that’s going to be it for me. I love my coffee and am not going to give it up at this point in my life. I figure ditching sugar, carbs and lots of other stuff is going to be enough. I love my morning hot coffee-especially here in the frozen northwest. It’s pretty much my line in the sand.
For sure. I tried decaffeinated for a long while.
I’m experimenting with going to matcha 🍵 and will try decaf coffee too.
I was drinking probably way too much. 3 x 500ml mugs a day and found I was getting acid reflux so I’m just making a change and having those drinks I mentioned.
I am also having fresh ginger and cinnamon tea.
Sometimes our bodies need to have an adjustment so trying these out.
Same! 😭
A cup of decaf is the last joy I have left... 🥺
Exactly. I’m right there with you. The benefit gained by giving up coffee is far less that the pleasure foregone.
You don't need to suffer or torture yourself with physical pain to give up caffeine. Gradual withdrawal (titrating the amount of caffeine, slowly reducing caffeine amounts) will eliminate the headache side effect. It took two months for me, but so worth it!
Yeah, gradually. Idk why people go cold turkey. Those headaches are debilitating.
I am in the process of titrating my coffee consumption down.
I am currently weaning myself off of caffeine. I was drinking a Zevia energy drink and a coffee every morning. It was about 200 mg of caffeine. I bought some liquid caffeine (still made with coffee beans) and started lowering the amounts. I am using about 80 mg in some sparking water first thing in the morning and that's all for the day. It's definitely a process!
I give it up when I do long extended fasts. I have a bad headache for about 36-48hrs, then I’m good. I like just ripping the band aid off to get the pain over with lol
I’m going to try reducing to the point of zero coffee
I started taking Iodine and Selenium and my desire for caffeine vanished. No more struggle to stop drinking coffee or tea and I use to be heavy addicted to coffee. I feel far better consuming iodine and selenium each morning than I ever did with coffee. ;)
What brand of iodine do you take and what daily dosage ?
Thank you
Do you take those in pill format, or in a liquid??

I have been carnivore for 18 months. I drank two 16 0z cups( with 2 tablespoons of heavy cream each) in the morning. This helped me to not eat till lunch, which improved my fasting blood sugar. After 6 months on carnivore, I quit coffee for 2 months. The headaches were terrible! I felt deprived and my stress felt higher. Also I was ravenously hungry. Started eating in the am. My fasting blood sugar spiked. Went back to drinking my am coffee and cream. I find it a delightful part of my morning.
Withdrawal symptoms
I quit coffee 4 months ago and feel amazing. More energy throughout the day and a sense of clarity in my mind because of the lack of stress. It was brutal the first week because I stopped suddenly. My motivations to stop drinking coffee was because I wanted to feel my best self without needing something to give me energy. I don’t want to be dependent on anything. So far it was my best decision I have made. I still love the smell of coffee but I never feel tempted. Staying hydrated and active is key 😁
I quit caffeine cause it was affecting my sleep and I kept rotating in bed like a rotisserie chicken
Great visual lol. 🍗😄😄😄
😂😂😂
Not me watching this while chugging my morning coffee.

What's Doctor Berrys take on this? The last short clip I see from him he was still enjoying a bulletproof coffee. I started drinking more coffee a few years ago for the positive effects it also was giving us ?
Me too!
No shame in my game 💕
Coffee is my only enjoyment in my life after switched to carnivore. No way I will quit drinking coffee. In fact, I just reduced the amount though. Only drinking on the weekends.
carnivore is highly unsustainable for more then 2 years and prob less cause for me i still had cheat days
Choose organic - that way you don’t consume the Roundup (I.e. pesticides)
My morning coffee is a multi-sensory experience as well as a mood enhancer. It doesn't increase my anxiety but rather relaxes and soothes me. Not giving it up!!!
@ZyklonBeast probably. But I don't drink alcohol and I'm not on any antidepressants. I'm not on any medications at all so I'd say I'm doing well.
It will decrease stress when you have it and increase when you don't have it.
@ZyklonBeast evidence please, that coffee is detrimental to your health?
I was a huge coffee drinker. And I thought I couldn't live without it. But when I started the Carnivore Diet, I realized I needed to give it up because it is not healthy. And so I did, and I am so happy I did. I have more energy than I did while on coffee. No more crashes in the afternoon. And I am finally free of that addiction. There is nothing good about Coffee. It is a plant after all.
I quit coffee cold turkey for about 30 days. Only difference it made was that my mornings were less enjoyable LOLOL I have one butter coffee with a pinch of salt every morning and it makes me gosh darn happy 🌈 🤷
I feel ya on feeling unmotivated. It has been three weeks since I gave up coffee. I had no headaches, luckily, but I also felt so incredibly flat and apathetic towards the world. This last week it seems to have lifted though, so maybe a return to baseline is on the way! Food for thought, is our vision of “positive high productivity” actually a natural human state of being or a drug induced state of being we have chosen to culturally glamorize?
That is a very, VERY good(and usually unspoken) point.... So important to look at every single layer with these these things.
We have been indoctrinated in to believing that we *must* be productive and if we are not it is laziness. Throw in high doses of caffeine and you have a great recipe for burnout.

I just love the honesty in this video, thank you for that! It will be interesting to see changes and updates.
I quit caffeine three weeks ago . I’m SO happy I did . My adrenals are seriously thanking me . Zero energy, but it will come back . I’m coming off a 35 year long addiction. I need to be free of it and …. Better quality meat for me now ❤
Did you stay away from it?
Super proud of you! I'm on week 2 of giving up for and I have up and had a cup. I can't lie, it was amazing but I'm back on track because I have a goal for optimal health and eliminating all things that could potentially be hindering that goal, is out. Keep up the inspirational work. Super cool😊
No, I am the person you describe. I refuse and will not consider quitting my coffee. I’ve been drinking it since I was a kid, yes a kid I was given coffee as a kid. There was a time in my late teens early 20s that I drink pop more than anything but I did go back on coffee eventually. And at 64. I’m here to tell you I’m not quitting.
Lol, that sounds like me. My grandmother used to give me coffee when I was just aroound 8 years old. I'm 74 now. I'm at least switching to decaf and reducing it from two to one cup a day. Then maybe I'll quit after that. Not sure yet.
My great uncle lived to 100 drinking coffee with honey every day. I see no need to give it up
Well done Bella, you are great, strong and accountable❣ I appreciate your energy and inspiration 🌷
Yes pls, keep us updated 🙂
I love the taste of coffee with cream or milk. I went decaf however and that was a very good decision energetically. I don't have to have it. I just like it. Otherwise, I am carnivorous and losing weight slowly. I occasionally fast when the body feels like it wants me to do that... and it does.
Yeah, I like the taste as well. I grew up in a culture that loved coffee for breakfast and early evening. We love it for the taste not for energy. I drink decaf with butter and a bit of cream for taste
I’m trying that now, too, but decaf just doesn’t feel the same. I know that I’m feeding an addiction, but I just love that cup with cream.
😌
This where I am on this journey. Quality whole bean, water processed decaf is something I look forward to each morning.l know it's a sin, but I make no claims to sainthood.
@@lukula2934 Any brand you can recomend for decaf?
@Paul C I get mine at Whole Foods, Allegro French Roast is the brand...But Starbucks or Peets would do well. Its really about grinding it fresh before brewing.
So happy to hear Steak & Butter Guy took good care of you. You deserve it! Great video!
I am titrating my coffee addiction down. Not sure I'll give it up completely yet. I've been substituting bone broth with an egg yolk, butter, and Ketochow mineral drops, as a morning drink. Also just made raspberry and chocolate LMNT hot beverage with a touch of heavy cream. Pretty tasty! I like the ritual of a hot beverage in the AM. Hard to break old habits so it's important to get creative.

I quite coffee for an entire hour! Worst hour of my life! Hee! Coffee is my only vice now! I have leaned so much from you, and my life has changed so much! Thanks!
Holy cow, John, you actually outlasted me by 40 minutes. ☕️😊☕️
I love coffee, it is not only food it is a mental state of mind, it makes me happy to wake up in the morning, brew a cup of coffee and smell the aroma in my home makes it feel like home, looking at the snow through my window while i drink my coffee is so relaxing, have coffee with friends and family. it doesn’t make anxious it relaxes me instead. So no I won’t quit coffee
You're brave!!! Done so well, you're such a motivational speaker. ❤️
Cheering for you, Bella! Hearing you describe the withdrawal has made me realized how fortunate I am to have never drank coffee regularly. I take one sip of my husband’s cold brew very occasionally but I think I’ll refrain from that now too.
I enjoy my organic cold brewed coffee with half & half. I love it and do not plan on quitting.

Hi Bella! Sorry that you feel miserable and so did I! My headaches lasted 3 days and the anxiety and depression stayed for a week. I also experienced lack of motivation. After that I was fine second week onwards. I love coffee for the taste and aroma. I must admit and be honest that I brought coffee back again. I have given up so many things and I will keep coffee. @@DrAJ_LatinAmerica absolutely. I don’t remember the figures, but a study was done in the UK that showed city people having higher chances of heart attacks compared to people living in the countryside.
I did the 90-day SBG challenge last year from October-December and as part of that I chose to give up coffee. I've always drunk it for the enjoyment of it and not for a feeling of energy, because I've never felt that from coffee or caffeine in general. Over the course of the 90 days I had no noticeable withdrawal symptoms, nor did I feel any of the benefits many experience after giving it up. As a result I've added coffee back into my diet because I enjoy it and noted no benefits from eliminating it. I'm glad there are many people who have found it negatively affects them and have learned to give it up, but for me I'll continue to have a cup when I feel like it.
This is me exactly. I can have a double espresso and go to sleep. I like the ritual of it.
Good for you! It’s hard to give up. I’ve given it up a few times. I don’t feel like I’m better when I do. I feel better after I get over the headaches and crappy feeling. i've been switching to organic African red Rooibos tea, which has no oxalates and has a nice warm vanilla flavor that goes well with cream, collagen, or any adaptogenic mushrooms you wish to add...
Rooibos tea is the best.
Do they call it RED ROOIBOS where you live?
Interesting fact: ROOIBOS (an afrikaans word, Rooibos comes from South Africa) and it actually means rooi=RED & bos=bush, in other words tea made from a red bush :) - So if they call it red rooibos, you are actually saying red red bush :)
Yes! Rooibos tea is my absolute favorite!❤
Thank you so much for giving us something to think about and learn. Helpful video!
I love the way it smells and tastes, and how warm it makes me feel.
I made myself a cuppa to watch this.😂 As a Venezuelan (living in Europe) I don’t, firstly, see coffee as a energy booster. Whomever invented that I don’t know.😉Secondly, coffee is a social thing - in South America and in Europe although it has changed a bit; you drink coffee when visiting friends, as a break from whatever, reading your newspaper etc.
Modern day life has changed the meaning of drinking coffee and the ritual it once had. While living in the city I could see people grabbing coffee on the literal run, like a headless chicken, to an early grave.
I don’t think I’d quite coffee, ever. And I do have days when I don’t drink it. I’ll keep my ritual and the meaning it has for me.
Thanks for the conversation❤
I totally agree. I will keep my two delicious uplifting coffee per day. It makes me happy and doesn't affect me so why give it up too?
its a mental phenomenon. i can drink coffee without any change in my heartbeat.
arguments in comment section and challenging my views does make my heart beat faster than coffee 😅
Yeah when I lived like that I would go weeks without being able to sleep. Even though I didn't have volatile energy levels throughout the day. I've lived in Ireland and in central Europe and between multiple cups of tea and coffee, it was truly awful and I started treating coffee like water - making a cup when I was bored or thirsty or there was a moderate social gathering. I was also vegetarian-leaning at the time, so you can imagine my quality of health....
@@maddiesiegmund5623 yes! I worked in the hotel industry for years, finishing up at midnight. The only way to sleep was to have a glass of wine with a painkiller, imagine!🙈 My body coped so well with the mistreatment, so sad. Now, we know better.😊
I love this. In Europe we have more rituals. It’s joyful.
Your experience matches mine exactly. I just felt empty and unmotivated the entire time. The second I went back to coffee I was back in business.
Good for you for staying clear of the meds! I can relate. I had 2 hernia surgeries and one of them had 7 incisions in my stomach and I did not take a single med! I am not necessarily suggesting that others do this, however although super painful for a couple of days, the healing process was definitely quicker. The moral of the story is to do your best to avoid meds as virtually all are unnecessary. There are certainly virtually always holistic alternatives!
Go Bella!! 👏👏👏 I know how terrible headaches can be so yay for powering through those tough headache days!! I don't drink coffee, but I do drink green tea or caffeine tea so I also challenged myself to cut back and stop drinking tea to try to be caffeine free myself too!
A lot of people I trust and listen to are quitting or have already quit coffee, I view this as the universe trying to tell me something and I do try to listen. Personally, I don’t like the addiction, it’s a form of self-imposed slavery. I type this while I enjoy my morning cup btw😂😂
All coffee brands smell like mold to me, can’t drink it any more.
@@sandan2358 Me too.... They really don't smell that great anymore. That is why I grind my own coffee from coffee beans. So fresh. So yummy, but I think I will be quitting that too just to see if it betters my life.
I wonder, do you think 3 cups per day is harder to quit than one cup a day? ☕️ vs ☕️☕️☕️🤔
Not too sure about a sauna blanket. I think I would soon overheat which would definitely stress me out. Anyways, to each their own, I guess. 🤷♂️
It’s not the Universe. It’s a bunch of RUclips attention-seekers needing something to talk about & feel important. Just another form of brainwashing & selling other products. If you’re truly addicted that’s another thing.
Hi, I did not drink coffee for the first 53 years of my life. But one evening when driving home from work I fell asleep at the wheel. It scared me so I started having a cup late afternoon for prevention. Trying now to quit!
That's why I use caffeine. I'm 64 and I drive a lot. If I never need to drive again I'll consider giving it up 😄
Please don't drive if you feel tired ...for God Sake.

It is very important also that the coffee is Organic, Mold-free, NOT too burnt/dark roasted (which destroys all the antioxidants); NO sweeteners, no pasteurized milk…
One cup, two sachets of Mount Haven organic freeze dried coffee with a generous tablespoon of butter. At 77 and pleased and motivated with carnivore diet, I find my coffee cup brings moments of pause before I begin my day. I see zero benefit to cessation of this pleasant morning ritual.
Wow, this just shows us how bad the addiction withdrawals can be and how long they can take. Keep it up!!

I just hit 3 weeks of no caffeine, and I can't believe how much better I feel. I also just read that book and was inspired by it lol. theres seriously no reason to go zero sugar, you deprive yourself of berrries and fruit, milk, or just a random piece of candy. unless ur going to die if you have 1 more gram of sugar then okay otherwise live your life in moderation. if your 500 lbs yeah u need to quit all sugar for 2 years atleast.
Coffee creates addiction and dependence, is like sugar, so is pretty much like giving up a drug.
@@gabrielbarrantes6946 who cares
@@doomslayerforever2858 I care! I'm trying to boost my metabolism. I hate the taste of coffee.. but am making myself drink plain black coffee.
Does coffee help with kick-starting metabolism?
Does anybody really know? 😔
I haven't been able to drink coffee in about seven years because I realized it was giving me debilitating anxiety which would go away within 2 days if I stopped caffeine. I'm on day 35 of carnivore and about two weeks into this experiment I felt more calm than I ever had in my life so I tried some coffee and I can drink it without anxiety now which absolutely blows my mind. Oh coffee I've missed you so much. 👨❤️💋👨
Side note, I will be 50 in April and I'd started to get one huge swollen painful index finger joint this fall. I'd had to alter how I do things because the finger just hurt to touch and within two weeks all that pain was gone as well and has stayed gone despite our weather being very cold. I'm still 20 lb overweight but these things take time. Find it shocking I haven't even lost 1 lb despite very strict. Being patient and healing. I know this was about coffee, sorry I got off track I'm just excited. 🥩 Also I do blend into raw eggs, collagen powder and butter to my coffee so it's basically a meal.
I dont lose on keto or carnivore... but my joints dont hurt
@@jackiemorrison2661 Maybe it'll happen for us eventually. But being pain free is 💥 AMAZING 💥
Giving up the collagen powder resolved some of the swelling in my fingers and toes. I noticed that some of these powders are plant based. I am shocked, how all of a sudden they change the ingredients under the same label.
@@mjones1122 I use vital proteins collagen powder from Costco and I just ran out yesterday and I don't think I will replace it because I have been eating so much meat and bone broth anyway that it seems unnecessary. Amazing what changes when you feed your body the right things. Slowly weeding out supplements as well. Life is so simple this way!
@@tammiehammett5054 I think big food and big RX are afraid we are figuring out that it is simple and we don't need their solutions.
I love the taste and I love the ritual of it. There’s nothing else like it! I do find myself leaning towards slowly giving it up. Maybe in a couple of months? Each month I am challenging myself with progressively more difficult goals this year - so I might tackle coffee in May. 😊 Cheering you on Bella! 👏🏻
Great content ❤as always. Your raw sharing is so awesome.
I gave up my daily black coffee for three weeks in January. I’m now only having one 3-4 days a week, so I’m not addicted and I get to really enjoy a coffee ☕️ when I really want it. 🎉 12:26
Quitting caffeine was insanely difficult for me. I consumed at least 150mg of caffeine a day (thanks Monster) for 10+ years and I went through a very similar experience only a bit more drawn out. My withdrawal headaches lasted for nearly 20 days and it was several more weeks before my energy levels were back to normal. I'd find myself feeling really drained and needing a nap after work and just needing more sleep in general. At around 3 months I felt like my energy was back to normal and even though I didn't feel physically enslaved to it anymore I still found myself fantasizing about it from time to time.
That eventually went away and now I find the idea of consuming caffeine really off putting. Any excitement about the initial rush that comes from it is quickly replaced by the realization that it leaves me super jittery and anxious. It's been 18 months now and I have more energy than I ever did before with caffeine and I love the feeling of mental freedom from that addiction.
Listening as I drink a cup of coffee☕️😵💫
Ordered the LMNT electrolytes to try for the first time. So excited! I would like to wean off of coffee. MY job would not allow me to suffer what you did...couldn't get my work done. Love you Bella! T. Collins...Terry's Tribe!
On day 2 (again) of my quitting Coffee journey. I quit when I first started carnivore 6 months ago… then rolled right back into the coffee train. Thank you for sharing and giving more confirmation to why coffee ain’t coming back inside of me!
I have never had a cup of coffee ☕ in my life (67 years). My friend from a different time zone visited and woke up 3 hours earlier than me. She actually walked to a Starbucks before dawn to get her fix. Our short visit was miserable because of the fast pace at which she was thinking, speaking and behaving non-stop. 🤪🥴
Sounds like adhd or something ...coffee's affect wears off fairly quickly .Was she hyped all the time ?.
I went a month without coffee and felt flat all the time. The very best was the day I started drinking coffee again. It was like I was on steroids. Unfortunately it only lasted a day. But I love the morning now with coffee, I don't take as much as before.
You just described being addicted to moldy bean water that is anti nutritious and degenerative
you might need more than 1 month to detox totally, to feel actually better and get back to your best self,
Same but I went three months before going back to caffeine, felt terrible the whole time.
@@jamesruport2608 I know, if you are perfect then its good for you .
@@kajusbajus nope, an addict as well, in recovery, but so many people deny their addiction and use garbage science to justify using coffee, or any other substance for that matter
Oh beautiful Bella, I applaud you for going cold turkey giving up coffee. My coffee always consisted ofcreamer sweet, so that’s the reason I’ve given it up. I stopped the first week of January. I of course have the headaches like you speak but I haven’t had all those other side effects that you’re speaking about. I have continued to work out walking and doing my hot yoga for 75 minutes. I say keep on going don’t give up don’t throw in the towel because if you do you’re gonna be really beating yourself up for doing that. I agree being accountable to us helps a lot. Kudos to Max for helping you stay on track and all the carnivores that have been sending you tips and tricksto stay on the track. What I love most is your honesty and sincerity about the ups and downs. You are not sugarcoating it. Pardon the pun there. I like that about you because you’re for real. You’re sharing how difficult it is and how you wanna give up so many times. That’s a true person saying it like it really is. Anyway, I wish you continued success and I applaud you and I pat myself on the back too for staying off of caffeine up to February 2.
Great Video. I am extremely mentally tough, but I'm weak when it comes to coffee and teas. I really respect your willpower, and will consider going cold turkey also.
Im down to decaf, so that’s a win for me…for now 😅
I hear you, but I'm still not ready to give it up....
Thank you for this info!!! It is very interesting to hear that you had similar experiences. I gave up coffee mid December 2022. At the tender age of 61 this was not easy. I love the taste, smell and morning ritual of coffeeeee!!!!! I was so tired and lacked my usual motivation throughout January. I definitely slept more and woke up feeling "neutral", kind of blah and tired. This was unusual for me. I thought it was just part of annual winter " hibernation" in Canada, but worse this year for some reason. It was not fun!! I purposely walked everyday to counter the blah feeling. I am at week 6 and am just starting to sleep less, I am not so tired and generally feel so much better!! I feel a sense of freedom. I feel like I did my body good; goodbye addiction to caffeine!! My commitment to myself is to stay off the coffee on a daily basis!!
The biggest factor to the change of how you are currently "feeling" is most likely due to working out/exercising every day! Exercise and working out daily is a huge contributor to mind, body and soul alignment...along with your diet, lol. Thanks for sharing, keep us posted!
I’m carnivore and have been for two years. I’m NOT giving up my coffee. I drink it black and if that’s the worst I do then oh well. I think it’s a personal choice. Keep doing what you’re doing. 😊🙏🏻
Not planning to give it up either. Gave up twice before and it did not make me feel better. So why bother :)
I see these vids and I realize I drink coffee far differently than most. I roast my own beans. I grind and brew with an aeropress or espresso machine. I love to go to different coffee shops and taste different styles, grinds, and brewing styles. As much as I love the carnivore lifestyle, there are some changes I’m just not sure I’ll make.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with no coffee, this video might be the reason I finally stop and might be the one thing I need to really kick-start my health journey and sticking to carnivore properly. Thank you so much
❤good job! Very inspiring
I drink decaf, but after I gave up caffeine my chronic fatigue got much worse! Has not improved since, but I do feel generally more relaxed and I do get to sleep earlier than before.
Check if you have anaemia or any other deficiencies. Good luck from a fellow chronic fatigue stranger
@@ablurida cheers bud, thanks for your suggestion. I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow, will request a serum panel test, unfortunately I can't get a Intercellular test in my country but it's better than no test I guess!
I gave up diet soda, and I gave up crystal light, but I can’t imagine a day without out coffee, and I drink decaf! So, it’s not the caffeine, it’s the flavor. ❤
I had the caffeine withdrawal headaches when I quit diet soda.
The amount of caffeine in decaf varies; a 16-oz cup can have as much as 13.9 mgs of caffeine. That's a tiny amount compared to regular coffee but I am caffeine-sensitive & I feel the effects when I drink decaf.
I love the warmth and the flavor.
I love the taste of coffee. I converted (slowly and carefully) to decaf a few years ago. Still consuming several cups of organic, water processed decaf each day.
Steak and Butter Gal...Something to consider....When I workout I am more tired the rest of the day and lack motivation. Since you started working out at the same time you quit coffee, could it be possible that the exercise and not the lack of coffee might be making you less motivated? Thank you so much for sharing your journey!
Huh weird. When I workout it makes me pumped for the rest of the day and ready to face any challenges that come my way. It’s actually my days I don’t lift and go hard and push myself that I feel a little lost and perhaps not unmotivated but non accomplished for the day. I don’t think you should see working out in that light. Working out is only ever a benefit. To anyone and everyone. It gives you a dopamine rush, it makes you feel better about yourself, it raises testosterone, it improves your health, it relieves stress, etc.
I had pretty severe anxiety, which caffeine made worse, but I did switch to decaf several years go (swiss water). I still have a caffeinated cup every now and again, but not daily. Carnivore has pretty much eliminated my anxiety and I do love the morning ritual/taste of coffee. I am considering trying a go without for a period to see if it makes a difference in how I feel. I went several days without it a few weeks ago and felt fine, but I am getting very little caffeine with decaf and did not experience any withdrawal. I have only been doing ketovore/carnivore for a few months, so might give it a go after I have been at it for a bit longer. Just not ready to give it up yet.
This is an inspiration to stop coffee again. At three cups lately but am motivated to experience these positive effects.
Caffeine Blues is a great book, I gave up coffee for 6 months thanks to that book. Than I drank a cup as I felt really exhausted one day, and since than I read this book with a mug of coffee in my hands every day.
I’m watching this while drinking muh third cup of coffee ❤
I’m sensitive to caffeine to I quit caffeinated coffee like 3-4 years ago. I recently quit decaf now since my body cannot handle ANY type of plant foods or drinks. So I let go of decaf and ended up losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I feel so much better with just beef, bacon, butter. Letting go of that last plant item has really helped in so many ways for my carnivore journey.😊
There can be as much as 13.9 mgs of caffeine in a 16-oz. cup of decaf--a tiny amount compared to regular coffee but if you're caffeine-sensitive like me, you can still feel the caffeine.
Awesome! Keep going if it makes you feel good! I love carnivore but I still drink some decaf because I truely love coffee and have found no ill effects either with or without it.
Your video makes some interesting points. I would add that for people who don't want to go cold turkey, one alternative is to give up caffeine while still drinking coffee. I had been drinking two big cups of coffee every morning for the past few years. I stopped drinking regular (caffeinated) coffee about three weeks ago and started drinking decaf (made with a water process, not by adding chemicals) instead. The two things I noticed when I switched to decaf were that (1) I felt a bit sluggish for a few days, and (2) my sleep became noticeably better.
