Simple scales sound more melodic when played like this. It's something I stole from listening to Slide Guitarists such as Derek Trucks. You don't even have to play slide to achieve this sound. So in this video I show you a simple way to make your phrasing more melodic and vocal like and if you love the guitar playing of Derek Trucks, then you'll hopefully get a couple of ideas from this video.
