- Probably the video I've been most excited to make - Two of my heroes have collaborated to create an incredible collection of frames the likes of which the world has never seen before.
Tech inspired styles are the inevitable result of Jean-Francois Rey and Hideo Kojima working together, with an artistic flair which is unmatched.
I loved creating this video and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it. Featuring footage from Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, two of the greatest games ever made. And of course, the LUDENS MASK...

WOW! Just wow, right on. the ludens mask deserves to be shown to the world! I'm a big fan of Metal Gear Solid, one of favorite games growing up. Never would've thought they would bring the frames to life. Excellent presentation as usual. I also look for quirky and non traditional glasses from time to time. Keep up the great work!

These glasses are really cool, I'm starting to think of more futuristic outfits and fashion pieces now. Can't really imagine wearing these just by myself. Agree with the super villain vibes, but eye shields in general just give me a kinda evil or cool vibr.

I ended up purchasing the HKxJF02 in blue and the ludens mask after watching this video. The 02s are very dailyable, but I cannot freakin wait to try the ludens mask once it arrives. I think it can be a complete showstopper for a business-formal event.

It makes me sad how much those Luden’s Mask glasses cost yet it’s not even carbon fiber like the ones from the game, just fragile plastic……

Chiming in a bit late, but I got the Cliff Skull glasses from Death Stranding and I wear them from time to time, and they do attract attention even though they are a bit toned down almost regular-looking aviator glasses. I put on the transition lenses on the frame so it's perfect daily for summer when going more formal events.
I was thinking recently to get either HKJF02 or HKJF01 (also noticed stocks are pretty much gone or very low in most shops that had them), but I think I will wait a bit more and see what they come up with when Death Stranding 2 is out, and then get some pair.
Watched a lot of your videos recently and gained a lot of insight into tinting, coating etc. so I'll definitely customise the new pair into something really special.

What I feel is a problem with ordering a pair of glasses online is the absolute lack of being able to somehow try them on. I’d be heartbroken if I bought the ones I love most, only to try them on and not enjoy how they look on me as a whole. I contacted jfrey about this and they could only supply me with the photos they already had on the site which aren’t all that high resolution.

So glad this video exists. Considering HKxJF02 as daily drivers with prescription. Good to finally see them on someone. They kinda fit you, but l cannot judge, if I won't look like a freak with them :D Black already out of stock, but I pretty much like this blue version since they look much better than on offical photos. I am 3D designing a number of real objects and systems from death stranding, not just props, real working stuff. i was so inspired by death stranding and a few other things, that combined with my whole childhood wanting to create robots and tech. I make other things too not just death stranding stuff, I just build weird robotics and electronics stuff. I learned 3D design and I hope to use that skill to support my family ASAP. I’m not well off by any means, and I’ve had some extremely bad luck with my family and my health for years now, so I haven’t been able to finish my projects nearly as quick as I had hoped. I have been so so obsessed with the wold of death stranding and all the fantastic technology from Yoji Shinkawa. I have been saving a bit of money for a while and I had just enough to buy a pair of death stranding Deadman glasses and Cliff glasses before they are gone. I never buy things like that, expensive, not necessary. I never thought I’d be able to own a pair. I feel very grateful. They haven’t arrived yet, and it will be a while before I can afford the lenses to let me use one of them, but it will be worth the wait I think. I hope I can finish some of my creations and share them with the world, it would be an honor if someday Yoji or Kojima saw one of my devices. It’s funny that you are into kojima and J.F. Rey for the same reasons I am, because they both truly seem to be Ludens. Have a nice day!

Are these glasses on the smaller side? i have quite a big head around 55/23 but these look so amazing
a little cheap that the "3D" glasses didnt click the tintet lenses intro place.. looks like they are hard to adjust.
To be fair they are a completely innovative design. Hard to expect perfection when they are the first to do something. But also it was kinda my fault

Tom Ford might be my least favourite brand. Horrible branding that tells everyone what you're wearing even from the front, and they are such generic designs. And it's funny how people who buy them think they are exclusive.
Starck is a genius designer. I love his work and it's just a shame they are owned by Luxottica now.

alain mikli frames where my favourite they used to be so good, about 10 years ago however the quality has really gone down after Luxottica have taken over 😢 No other company has even come close to the style that they brought to frames .Legends in eye wear !!

It's really not, it feels well constructed to me. J F Rey are considered one of the very best eyewear manufacturers.
