London City Voices - Jamulus & Zoom rehearsal

This didn't set out to be an actual rehearsal, more of an experiment to see if it would work. It did! We thought we'd try an actual rehearsal seeing as the technology was working well. This audio is not edited to put everyone in time - this is how it sounded to us. I nudged the audio track so that it fits the video, as the video on Zoom is actually a little later - you can't use visual clues to conduct. Check out our other videos of a few short renditions of songs on the same Jamulus session. It takes a bit of patience to get it all working, but it's definitely worth it. Next stop - we're going to try mixing Jamulus and Zoom even more, so that those who can't use Jamulus can still tune into the Zoom rehearsal, mute themselves and sing along to us.

Hello, this is sounds promising especially for a first trial. Can you please tell me what other programmes you may have used to interface with zoom please.

We've had much more success recently and interfaced with Zoom using 2 computers and Loopback on the Mac. It's a bit complicated, but works well. Video here: ruclips.net/video/PUouerKohjo/видео.html. This is 30 Jamulus and 70 non-Jamulus.
