Fantastic video!!! First Transpennine Express services from Newcastle would normally continue to Liverpool Lime Street but because of major works taking place at Manchester Victoria, trains only went as far as Manchester Piccadilly. Love the sounds of the class 68's in action, probably one of the best diesel locomotives there is :)
Thanks very much I really enjoyed my time filming here, it always a fantastic station to film at. I can't recommend it enough :) the class 70 and 68 are the best sounding modern day diesels running
It's now 5 years later, today's the 29th of September, and the Pacer has breathed his last not far from Cardiff. But wait! Not for long! What I prophesised in one of my comments a long time ago has happened. It's been nabbed by the Wensleydale Heritage line and people are queing up to go on it. Yes, it's become an attraction! The bumpy ride and the creaky springs and the quirky doors are drawing crowds! The BBC's already producing a programme about them and Peter the Pacer has a starring role.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR STUPID IDIOT 142S I HATE THEM!!!! BURRRRRRRRRNNNNNN INNNNNNN HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I find funny about that is that Arriva even admit that the pacer is unpopular with their passengers and yet they decide that would be the first train to whack the new livery on............
Yeah I saw the unveiling of it at London Kings Cross, it looks absolutely incredible. I wasn't overly keen on it when I heard that it would be replacing the 125 and 225 sets but now that I have seen the 800 in the new livery I have grown rather fond of it
Tornado please change the thumbnail its a PACER and today i was a Preston and since Northern rail new name is northern and on the info boards it said northern rail. Also i saw 3 class 66 for frightener coupled together with no wagons. I aslo saw penny the Pendalio.
hahahaha, I had no idea the thumbnail was a pacer. I'll get round to changing it eventually lol. The company is now just known as Northern. But I think the branding will be Arriva Rail North
It must be said, 43317 and 43367 deltic 50 gave off AMAZING clag as they pulled away with the 10:00 VTEC service to London:))
This reminded me of last year when you came here. Nice, nostalgia is fine in my book!
I know what you mean this video is almost a carbon copy of last year with the obvious exception of the double class 68 locomotives
Fantastic video. Well done.
Thanks

have you heard the class 37 engine sound that's the best one.
+callum holland They're classic, I love the 37's. But I think when it comes to the modern era of diesel locomotives, the 68 can't be beaten!
Yeah your right there but the 37's are very nice to drive.
Thanks very much I really enjoyed my time filming here, it always a fantastic station to film at. I can't recommend it enough :) the class 70 and 68 are the best sounding modern day diesels running
***** I am based at Newcastle coz I am on VTEC Scottish route.

I think they are stalking me lol. I can't wait for 2019 to come hahaha
+Tornado922 This one begins with a bus lol, that was a total mistake lol :)
Nice. Great news about those pacers too. What trains will replace them? I guess sprinters.
nope theres old District line trains replacing them
Sam Waddingham but the lines will need to be electrified won't they?

Surely it can't be a coincidence the first train on camera was a pacer, c'mon Jarred, admit your hidden love for them ;)
I think they are just stalking me because of my hatred for them hahaha.
also the new Arriva Rail North livery has been revieled - on a PACER!
the unit you need to look out for is 144012
and It's roaming all over the network so be warned
What I find funny about that is that Arriva even admit that the pacer is unpopular with their passengers and yet they decide that would be the first train to whack the new livery on............
+Tornado922 they've called it 144Evolution, the E-Pacer
Sam Waddingham shoot me

Have you seen the new virgin Azuma train for the ECML ? I saw it when they did they revealing and it looks pretty nice! Great video as always man!
Yeah I saw the unveiling of it at London Kings Cross, it looks absolutely incredible. I wasn't overly keen on it when I heard that it would be replacing the 125 and 225 sets but now that I have seen the 800 in the new livery I have grown rather fond of it
What was that extremely strange coach with the pantagraph at the back of the test train?
I think it's a car to test a pantograph on, but don't quote me on that! :D
Probably used to check the overhead,
they are the best train ever the 142 pacer
I'll get back to you on that one hahaha
Screw you Anthony you stupid idiot
I was in London on this day
Thanks :-)
After you have finished filming at Edinburgh why don't you think about trying at Glasgow Central
I didn't have enough time during the day as I needed to get back to the Midlands by the early evening, but one day i will film at Glasgow

I won't be going there this year but one day I have every intention to film there
+Tornado922 ok so where you hoping to go that you haven't been before
Sam Cooper that's a difficult question because there are hundreds of stations around the UK that I've not been to yet
Tornado please change the thumbnail its a PACER and today i was a Preston and since Northern rail new name is northern and on the info boards it said northern rail. Also i saw 3 class 66 for frightener coupled together with no wagons. I aslo saw penny the Pendalio.
