I literally commented the same thing under an interview of Leo and Martin Scorsese, i was like nobody in the industry can communicate like James Cameron, after i got annoyed from hearing too many ahhs and umms from Leonardo and Martin Scorsese
Great interview. I love listening to Jim Cameron in any interview that he does. He's been very vocal and truthful about the Ocean Gate and he's not afraid to state his views.
I’ve never had more respect for James Cameron than I do today and it’s not because of its movies. It’s because of his thoughtfulness and respect and taking things very seriously when it comes to passenger dives on submersibles. I asked anyone if you have the choice of being in this immersible with James Cameron or Stockton rush who would you pick? I think the answer is quite obvious.
James Cameron without PhD knows more about deep sea dives than others with PhD because James Cameron is passionate and humble and thinks carefully and doesn't compromise safety. That being said he does have the advantage of Hollywood money.
*James Cameron And Bryan Cranston a probably my two favourite male interviews. such amazing storytellers and explain things so a laymen like me can understand*
Being a Travel Consultant for 25 years, having to be licensed also, please explain why anyone would pay $250,000 to be squished into a tiny submersible, not even a real submarine, with no big windows to even see anything properly... the whole point is to see something?
Millionaire/billionaire activities is the long story short. Also any submersable/submarines that go that deep will never have very many or very large windows due to them being a weak point in the structure of the pressure vessel. Just not possible with today's current technology.
I don’t know how anyone could do anything in television at 14 I’ve been camera shy all my life. Consequently, if anyone saw any video of me anywhere, I would hope they would show me. There are cyber criminals that will film you without your permission and then put it out on another site, manipulating it to give themselves permission, or to put whatever slant that they want
Seeing how many things that person knows I want to know the same, if not more. And I'm only 21 yo. There are a lot of things to learn. Holy hedgehogs, what an amazing WORLD!

7 videos in a row .. bet they wont talk about how they all knew the titan was lost instantly but decided to pretend their was hope to cloud the airwaves 😂
Don't forget about how they forget to mention that the world's foremeost experts on composites didn't hesitate to encourage Rush on his new use of composites, including composite world website who wrote at least 5 articles regarding oceangate between 2017 and 2020. If nothing else from this incident, I've learned a tremendous amount about marketing and repeating key marketing words like finite element analysis. The most important take away from this interview is 'follow the money'. ON another note, Terminator 2 was one of the most influential movies of my life as a child. But the biggest misconception is that somehow AI will become self aware. The truth is that AI will take over as a result of corporate greed.
All filmmakers are connected to “Hollywood” in some ways, even if it’s just partnering for theatrical distribution, but Cameron is also divorced from it in many ways too. He’s Canadian, lives in New Zealand, owns his own private independent production company, and owns his IP.
That's why I'm still holding on to the possibility that on June 18th, which was Father's Day and one day prior to the new federal holiday, Juneteenth, the Titan sub was remotely hijacked by someone using SpaceX Starlink's satellite network which is owned and operated by Elon Musk. Oceangate also reportedly acquired the assistance of Boeing for its carbon fiber design, so I'm willing to bet that it was someone behind SpaceX who was trying to make Boeing and Oceangate look bad so as to knock Boeing out of the competition for becoming NASA's main contractor for its upcoming missions.
The hell kind of copium are you huffing? Satelite signals can't penetrate water, and that includes Starlink. It can communicate with vessels that are out at sea, but there's no way in hell it can communicate with submersibles, let alone be used to hack into them remotely.
Not really, Yes Lusitania was revolutionary where Titanic was really just a scaled up design of older ships. But because Titanic sank important safety rules changed.
James cameron doesnt make movies. He makes displays of special effects. The characters , plot and dialog are secondary to the big explotions and the cgi environments.

This interview is fabulous, thank you. I could listen to him talk deep sea exploration for hours.
