    Props to the girl for letting Jim speak. This is the first interview that he has done where he actually explains the technology in detail.

    James Cameron is such an inspirational figure. This interview alone has motivated me to do better in school and not spend the rest of my life smoking weed and doing nothing. If I can achieve just a fraction of what JC has achieved then I would have lived a pretty damn good life.

    That was just brilliant. It was really 30 minutes well spent. This guy knows how to direct a good action movie and he knows the technology that goes into creating his worlds inside out literally. Its great to see him talk about technical part of film making for once. I always wanted to know how he did the bio-illuminessence for Avatar. Now I know! :D

    Very interesting interview. I just have so much respect for Cameron because he could have done the film earlier but instead waitied and was patient with developing the technology. To me, it shows what a great visionary he is, committed to producing the very best in cinematic experience!

    someone who has the chance to interview such an absolutely amazing man needs to be a bit more professional. Quit interrupting the man, quit moving the camera while he talks, and fix the mic on him, not your rustling. Gee

    Look how smart, clever and confident this master filmmaker is. It's all coming out of him so casually. It's like he lives, breathes, smokes, eats and drinks film. And, yet, he's been exploring the sea for the last 12 years. It's like Cameron has come back to his root... what makes him James Cameron.
    I also get the impression that no one else in the business knows so much about the filmmaking process.

  • @fosibodu

    James Cameron a genius. He invented the idea for Avatar in the 80's but didn't want to make in back then because of the lack of technology. So He waited almost 30 years to film it so he could make it perfect. This kind of perfectionism is what film industry needs!

  • @DoctorEntertainment

  • @tyruk

    Say what you want about Avatar as a piece of fiction, but James Cameron innovated technologically to no end to make that picture. He deserves credit for that, if only that, even from those who thought Avatar's narrative was childish and predictable.

    @LukeLovesRose I love what cameron says in the interview and always do. he did nothing wrong. i'm am, however, slamming the interviewer for poor video skills. I'm a video student and i'm still learning myself but I know to set the tripod before the interview, set a mic, and hush when he's talking. those simple three aspects make a huge difference for a start

    Come on!!! Listen this is a great movie, phenominal! It's even better when it is on THE Big Screen, I dread the day when Avatar is no longer in the theaters which is why I intend to go see it every chance I get in the theaters! So don't go just watch it online, go at least ONCE to the cinema and see it. You are not disappointed!

  • @VideoPine
    @VideoPine 12 лет назад +1

    He is, but he has a temper on set, and can be very demanding. But he has collaborated with some of hollywoods biggest talent like Stan Winston, and Stan agreed that he can be a bit of a jerk on set sometimes but he didn't mind that because he respected his genius and loved being pushed to be the best he could be. Winstons collaboration with Cameron continued until his death, so I guess cameron can't be that bad of a person.

    he could have given the script to is descendants and waited another 3 or 4 decades until you could have the guys control avatars (like in the movie) that were in a CG environment. That's a bit excessive though.
