This Form Drawing Exercise EFFORTLESSLY Improves Your Art

  • Mastering Form is one of the most important art fundamental. In this video, I will discuss a drawing exercise that will make learning forms easy and fun! The more this exercise is practiced, the easier drawing from imagination gets! Eventually you will be able to draw with no reference at all from pure construction based imaginative drawing and doodling.

I'd love to see another add to this where you show more examples of how to cut the forms. I have a hard time imagining how to do this on my own simply because I'm just not that creative/imaginative often times. I draw 99.9% from reference for now while I develop technical skills, and then later I'll develop my creative mind when I have confidence in my skills.

@@faith9505 Thank you for the message, I really needed it.
I've been going to a friend's church that puts baptism ahead of the sacrifice of Jesus, they say Jesus is necessary but to unlock his grace and get remission for our sins we must be baptized first. Faith in Christ will not make you saved.
I don't believe this, and their church has a dead feeling to it.
So your message of morality, and religion being unable to give us salvation is what I needed to hear.

This is brilliant. It's really helping me to find my lines which I normally really struggle with so pleasurable when you see your shapes taking form. And it clearly highlights when youre going off in the wrong direction .Thank you

Excellent. Your video popped up and the subject was something I needed, so here I am. You're so likable and you take the effort out of drawing (something I've been battling with). I'll definitely adopt this attitude and will be "playing" more with the shapes. Thanks.

@@SaltC Yes, but that's really the best part. It's never dull, always challenging. When you finish something, that's the end. You have to find something new. When there's nothing else, well...I may be old, but I'm not ready for that yet. 😆
