- The day after the 4th of July Parade in Gatlinburg, I drove through the national park and into Cades Cove. It was nice to get away into nature after the busy parade!

We did Cades cove last month, didn't realize how far it was to the Loop from Gatlinburg. It was wonderful and well worth the drive. Thanks again for another wonderful vlog.
Yes!! You are right! I always forget that it is a bit of a drive from Gatlinburg and when there is a backup due to bears or any other wildlife, it can be even longer. Thank you for the kind words and watching!🥰

@@Jack-zd7rv yes, the national park as a whole is a must visit in the area! Cades Cove is inside the national park.

As a kid, my parents would stop at the camp store and allow my sister and I to get yoohoo's to drink. Later, when I started taking my daughter there, we'd hit the McD's leaving Pigeon Forge and when we got to the parking lot at 4:00 the 3 of us would have a breakfast picnic. Back then they would complain that their food was cold. They said its not McDonald's anymore its Cold Donald's. Now they're much older and every once in a while, I'll get a text that says, I want some cold Donald's. It's the best feeling ever!! And so we'll plan a trip out there.
