    Had both, decided on the S24+. I like the P8P software and features, but the S24+ has superior hardware features, including far better battery life and fingerprint scanner. OneUI also gives you tons of customization options.

    • @bassyey
      @bassyey 3 месяца назад

      What is superior about Pixel software? All their new features are always a copy OneUI had for years already. Google Calendar doesn't allow the flexible scheduling and repeats that Samsung Calender does. The same goes for other Google apps.

    @WinterSoldier0315 5 месяцев назад +48

    I sold my S24+ and went back to P8P. There's just something so smooth and smart about the Pixel phones. You didn't mention it, but the text to speech on the P8P is miles better than the S24+. The screen is gorgeous, the camera is effortless, and the feel in the hand is much better and ergonomic for me on the P8P. I'm using the Bellroy leather case, which fits the P8P like a soft glove. And I like the software better on Pixel phones although Samsung has made major improvements on One UI.

    Thank you for this excellent comparison. I wish I would have seen it before I made my decision. I have had the S24 Plus for a week now. The biggest issue I have is way it feels in hand. So blocky and edgy. The extra weight of this phone, combined with the metal edges, makes it feel almost sharp after holding for a while. Coming from a Moto Edge + 2023, the performance itself is incredible. Although I feel like I spent the first couple days trying to make it as basic as I possibly could. I definitely prefer stock android. I ordered 6 different cases to see if one of them has rounded edges that make it more comfortable to hold. If not it is getting traded in for a P8P. I honestly didn't know the ergonomics of a phone could bother me so much until now. But now I do, and knowing is half the battle.

    Thank you for actually comparing the right two models because some people compare the P8P to the s24 ultra, which are two completely different price points saying that the p8p is the same tier as the ultra when its actually the same tier as the Plus

      True but thats cause of the chipset. If it had snapdragon as well it would be about the same or better. Once pixel 10 gets tsmc just like iphone and snapdragon samsungs it should get very interesting. For now that exynos pixel isn't cutting it. It was a terrible idea.

    • @ernstt1616
      @ernstt1616 5 месяцев назад

      @@robmalcolm8042Hopefully it gets better once they switch to TSMC. There are no guarantees. Also it's still gonna use a Samsung modem

    • @robmalcolm8042
      @robmalcolm8042 5 месяцев назад

      @ernstt1616 i think it will cause it will be fully custom for the chip and not just a variation of exynos. I didn't know that about the modem. Would be a deal breaker they should just pay Qualcomm to use their antennas only just like iphone. But surprisingly iphones cell reception still sucks lol my s24 ultra is alot better in that regard.

    Here in Germany they're both sitting at the same price, but with the pixel I get a better camera ( macro, 2x optic quality and 5x tele vs the s24's 3x with tiny pixels) and I get a faster stock android experience Vs cluttered one ui

    • @chrisodell6107
      @chrisodell6107 2 месяца назад

    I always fit my android phones with a custom launcher to replace stock android. Sometimes I feel like replacing the icon packs with something aftermarket, and that's something you can do on both phones or any android phone for that matter.
    I seem to like the bigger battery life more on the s24+. I come from a One Plus 7T and my first phone was a Galaxy s8. Both phones are terrific phones. I have no need to switch phones but the one plus 7t lacks security updates as its been discontinued. Hence why I am in the market for a Pixel 8 Pro or an S24+ but not the ultra.

I do play league and wow and i never been interested in gaming on a freakin phone. So all in all Pixel 8 pro is absolutely good and enough for me. If we can get some beast chip and if that would play better with camera shutter or video capabilities or unlock some new stuff for the phone i would ofc like it , but for just gaming purposes or even dumber geekbench tests ( look my phone pull this numbers ) like cmon now... what are u gonna do mining crypto with it ???!?🤣

    Excellent nonbiased comparison. I have them both and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. The S24 plus has a brighter screen, is faster and more smoother scrolling experience. The straight google software is very IOS like with enough options to tweak things. Samsung's software has evolved over the years to a point where it is tolerable. However, a person must spend several weeks learning Samsung's software to get the most out of it. I give the S24 plus the slight edge.

Fully Stock android does not come on any phone anymore, Pixel launcher is also essentially a skin over android as there are things on a Pixel you cannot do on other android which is google's take on android as you gotta remember Android is owned by google but they are their own separate thing.
