    Well, the fact that they have "blackwashed" a historical figure who was not black is already something that could be said to not exist.

    I'm constantly amazed how European culture is obliterated by casting African actors in film. SMH!

    Most historians reject that queen charlotte was black/biracial. From my understanding the theory of her being black biracial started in 1997 and was mostly based off the portraits of her “looking like a black person”.

      100% why that bogus claim was made and still exists. No actual historian(Afrocentrists are often not real historians but historical revisionist with an agenda) believes she was anything but white.

      Queen Charlotte directly descended from Margarita de Castro y Sousa, a Black branch of the Portuguese royal house.

      Also duh!!!! She was painted with distinctly African features. They didn’t do photoshop to make lips bigger & noses wider. Actually at the time they would alter the portraits so they would be more perfect. So why would they paint those features into a portrait if they weren’t there? They would’ve given her more Eurocentric features but they didn’t.

      @@stephiybabiithey gave her white skin. That says enough. You make it like white people can’t have fuller lips or a broader nose. Freaking culture vultures.

    Why did they blackwash a real person?

    • @stephiybabii
      @stephiybabii 17 дней назад

      They didn’t. If you look up historical records you’ll see Queen Charlotte was directly descended from Margarita de Castro y Sousa, a Black branch of the Portuguese royal house. So she could’ve been darker than most. There’s even a portrait that shows her being a bit darker than most.

      They always do it to gingers. If a character has red hair and pale skin, they're gonna be Black now. 😂

    It’s sad that people can’t accept that she may have been of mixed heritage.
