The closest I ever baked something was a store bought brownie box. I love croissants so I tried this. OMG! You made a baker out of me lol! Gave some to family to try and I was asked what brand of pastry dough I bought. I am just so proud of myself and thanks to you! New subscriber here.
I live in Vietnam where its not easy to find puff pastry and because of my fibromyalgia i cant do all the work that goes into folding the puff pastry a thousand times!!! So i just never made it even though i wanted to make something for kids. This is the easiest recipe i have found so far and im so excited to try it!!! Im trying it this weekend. Im so excited!!!
I was so worried about this pastry because it had a lot of grease cooking out of it from the butter. My hubby tried it and was so happy! He came and gave me a kiss and said it was so good! Thank you so much! I thought puff pastry was out of reach for me, but what do you know, It was so easy!
coating the butter and scraping was really nice idea. Not kneading a sticky buttery dough for puff pastry is wonderful. It’s a thumbs up for me. Will start doing puff dessert with this method. Kudos to your momsdish. 💯✔️

I was always scared of making puff pastry. I felt that it was to much work. 25 years ago my daughter attended a chef's course and came home with this recipe. I even made Palmiers with the same puff pastry. It is the easiest way to make your own. And goodness it is yummy. Been using this recipe for 25years.

So, if the recipe calls for those precut puff pastry squares, can you just unfold and cut what you are making here? Since it's an individual square, do you still need to do all those folds? Can you just roll it out the first time and cut it up?
Love your video! I made the dough I left it in the fridge overnight I don’t wanna exactly use it at this moment I would just like to freeze it and have it prepared for recipes in the future. What I need to fold it how your doing it in the video before freezing it ? or just leave it in the plastic wrap and freeze it?

Hey, you can keep it in a fridge for several days. Otherwise I would freeze it and thaw in the fridge until ready to use. I would highly recommend good quality butter for this recipe. Enjoy

I only refrigerate it if the butter starts melting during the baking process. Also right before baking I allow it to refrigerate.

Tried this recipe tonight, sitting in the freezer until morning. First time making it from scratch. Going for apple dumplings tomorrow.
I would suggest not fully freezing it. If you do, thaw in the fridge before using. Not on the countertop.
