I know this video is a couple of years old but I want to say that I`ve tried so many recipes of pastry and this one is so good and easy to make, it took me like half an hour to make and the results are just like the video. Thanks.
Watching this video gives me hope that I too can make pastry dough. I tried it once, old school style, completely failed... And never did it again. That 4 corner cutting dough technique made me gasped 😂... I was like that's an awesome way to get dough to be a rectangular shape. Thank you so much for this video

Whoa! 👍🏼 Usually you have to make sure the butter is cold and let the dough sit in the refrigerator for half an hour for about three times. This is a way better technique for laminated dough and you get all those layers.👏🏼

WOW, I saw it, but I can hardly believe it, it goes against ALL methods of making puff pastry, but, came out beautiful. It's on my cooking list for tomorrow.

@@v26rus , рецепт по продуктам хороший. Этот рецепт встречается часто в интернете. Но здесь нарушена технология . Нужно после того, как смазали маслом, класть тесто в холодильник. На 1 час или 2 часа. Если спешите, то можно на 20 минут в морозильную камеру. Потому что масло уже размягчается и впитывается в тесто. Слоистости не будет. Один раз смазали тесто, ну если очень быстро работать, можно 2 раза и быстро в холодильник. Процесс долгий . Поэтому я и стала это видео смотреть. Надеялась , что -то новое увижу((. Как моя дочь говорит: "Делала всю жизнь по своему проверенному рецепту, не нужно чудо искать в интернете".

@@dankmemes3542 i made this dough before yes.. It had to go to the fridge after each fold because if the butter came out it's over.. This recipe can be done in cold weather and it takes most the day.. It needs butter with little amount of milk and good flour.. I watched many videos before making it.. Many of them hide important tips.. Unfortunately.. This is why it seems easy
seem easy, but unless you have a VERY specific kind of butter and VERY specific ambient temp, puff pastry is a nightmare to pull off, even the flour needs to be especial, this is NOT EASY
Looks great! And that knife trick to turn the dough square is absolutely something I’ll be using. I’m curious, are you chilling your dough between folds? How are you getting that rise if not?
In the description they say it was winter and they were able to do it all the way through at once. it seems it was cold enough that they didn't have to.
@@jmn3726 in some countries, is very possible to do at one go (15C ambient temp give or take if your gonna try using regular butter), there is especial puff pastry butter and many more options and techiques for hotter countries

Love flakey pastries but always hated the beurrage technique. Never thought room temp butter would work as all other recipes are strictly against it. Will be giving this a try!
@@laurafernandez9954 i did! The dough is very soft which makes rolling and folding very easy. The dough did not tear. Only difference is I used AP flour. There were so many layers when baked. Definitely try the recipe!
So far, it turned out to be a gooey mess! I am chilling it up now, hoping to salvage something. Not how I hoped it would go, but certainly what I thought might happen without chilling up that butter layer first.

오오 이거다! 하고 호기롭게 시작했는데 버터가 녹아서 새더라고요.. 부랴부랴 냉장고에 넣고 휴지.. 시키고 귀찮아서 방치하다가 이틀 되던 날 꺼냈어여 역시나 접기하다가 녹아서 줄줄..ㅎ 모양은 망했는데ㅋㅋ 맛은 있더라고요. 나름 성공한 듯😂 감사해용
