    Sam you and the Mrs. did a great job with the Q&A question. I myself am legally blind but you wouldn’t know it to look at me.
    I just think you do a great job at bringing products for people who are either visually impaired or totally blind and that isn’t easy to do.
    Again, great video and I look forward to seeing more videos from you.

    I have high residual vision like you seem to, Sam, but I did get a guide dog. As a petite young woman who I feel freaked out and vulnerable traveling with a cane..Sometimes I feel guilty, but my optbomologist assured me that feeling safe is part of what makes guide dogs helpful, especially as a woman. I love her so much, and especially at night she helps a lot. I think as your vision deteriorates further, consider it!

    I know you will see this later. I have some vision, as does Derek, as you know, both of us use guide dogs from the same school, and I think both of us would agree, that steps, no depth perception etc. is the very reason that you would need a guide dog. You would do great with one.

    I use a company called Peapod for frocery delivery. Huge time saver and saves my hubby from having to do that too (driving wise).
    Actually blind people can solo skydive. It’s a little more effort but you totally can. I’ve had the pleasure to get advice from one because I’d like to do my own solo in the near future.

    This is great! even though I've only been married to my wife for 2 years, it's the second time around for both of us, I see a lot of us and you both. One of my pet peeves, I hate it when people say, "It's over there." Over there means nothing when you're blind. Give me some direction, please! Lol

      LOL, I know what you mean! Saying it’s over there only tells me that it’s not right here!

And they shared a story about devices for deaf people in cinnema’s and 2 times they had a really bad experience. And i hate that so much that those “accesible’s” dont w work when they have too. Love sabrina

    Such a cute couple and I really enjoyed this… Sound so much like my marriage and how we just handle things that come along. We have three children and have been married 30to almost 33 years. You just do it! Like you guys said there’s not really big discussions or divisions of what is done by who… You just figure things out as they come. Love it!
    I also happen to have yes. D. And use a guide dog. That girl can really make me move! She is my second guide. It just gives me such a sense of security especially when traveling in the dark and alone on our 5 acre property. I love to walk fast and do not have to watch every step I take. You got to check out the guide dog life it’s awesome and you do deserve a dog if you’re legally blind. You’d be amazed at the people that use them and have so much more vision than you or I. Correction: I have S. D.
    Keep the videos coming they’re awesome.D

    Sam, although i’m legally blind I ride an Electric bike/scooter on good days. I haven’t ridden it in a couple of months because I need to get new tire, but my girl is sweet. I call her Angelleac.

    I’m curious how he picked your ring and proposed.

    • @theblindlife
      @theblindlife  4 года назад +1

      I knew she liked white gold so I just picked a traditional white gold diamond for her ring. I proposed at the restaurant that I worked at the time. After dinner, had them bring out a dessert plate that had I had written out will you marry me in chocolate sauce on the platter. Then all the guys on the line made the sauté pans flame up as everybody clapped! It was pretty cool!

    Happy Anniversary guys your vedio help me out alot in my everyday life being legally blind by the way my name's Heather and I it definitely hard at times because because I feel like got out with Joshua which he does have a slight problem,but it's nowhere as nearly as bad as mine it's corrected with glasses and he could drive and everything which I can't I was never able to I feel like there's times that he don't understand me even though he says that he's trying his best to do,so it makes it difficult at times knowing that on top of all that I've got cerebral palsy too and I don't know if the brain injury I suffered at birth caused by disabilities are what,but it a little tough at times especially now that we've got kids and I know they know that I can't quite do things as well as them,but they're still fairly little,so I don't know how much they really understand and there's times that I feel left out of their lives because there's things they want me to do with them,but honestly I don't know how I'd be able to achieve alot of things with my sight problems and my walking issues,but I do the best I can with everything though plus I've got stepchildren because he had some before we got together and they kind of understand things,but at times I still feel like they don't even though they're teenagers and they should better than their younger siblings at their ages,but I guess even though we've been together for almost 11 years it still could be hard on them at times because with my walking and my sight changing day to day that could get a really confusing for them because I'm still confused by it myself at times I'm not going to lie it's scary at times especially knowing that I'm even experiencing severe migraine headaches and stuff like that now it's like wow the number of changes I've been going through over the years and I've been like this since birth I didn't learn that anything was wrong with me differently from everyone else until I was a little up in age I'd have to say probably in the double digits in the single digits I thought that everyone done things the same way I did because no one really told me any different and explained things to me at that time I guess they felt that I was too young to understand I don't really know,but I don't remember ever getting told that about myself until a bit later in lifewhich was different for me and hard to understand,but now I understand that not everyone's like me all of my kids try to find it in their own ways to help me out with different things from the oldest to the youngest that's including the stepkids and my biological ones too they want to help even though I don't ask them to and when I do ask them sometimes they complain because they don't want to at the time,but they understand that sometimes they just got to lend a helping hand at times and I think it's helping them to be well-rounded people too and hopefully in the future it'll help themunderstand that no matter if a person got a disability or not it's always a good thing to try to help out someone whenever you can that'll make you a better person in the long run if you just reach out to someone that might be needing some assistance with sometime at the time.
