Thank You for posting this. I have passed through Front Royal many times on my way To Virginia Military Institute to see my son when he attended. It would've been nice to stop and see the locomotive.
Wow I guess is the main now for NS. Used to have the the nickname the weed line from manassas to front royal because of a fuzzy weed that grew in the ballast. I have a photo on my dresser of a southern GP-35 and the local crew in front royal va, 1980. Never rode behind 611 but as a kid a few times been on this line behind 4501.

Too bad they had to have a "Diesel" leading it? PTC rules? Build new steam loco's, & "Scrap" the diesels!
