Hi Karen, I am an artist...and was an Art Teacher. That Large piece reminds me of some of Walter Graham's Artwork. Landscape Painter...To be honest, there would most likely be a signature if you took the Piece out of the Frame. What a Beautiful Piece!! You have a great 👀 eye!
That piece of art is so gorgeous. Love it! How cute of Roger saying that childhood couple was you both,. Awwe 💕💕 Looks like on this thrift trip, less is more. Awesome purchases! Oh, I like your Costco closet. All kinds of room.
The painting would look beautiful behind your 2 chairs in your new bedroom. What a statement piece!! I love unique pieces. I don't want things from Hobby Lobby!
Wow, Karen! I am with you, the painting is stunning. I don’t think I could part with it, although I have no where to put it. The lamps are also stunning. Are you going to keep them for your living room & sell the other ones? That’s what I would be doing! I am always upgrading my things. Thank you for sharing, Karen. It’s always so exciting watching you find such amazing things! xo
1. I think the 2 of you are adorable. 2. I will say your comment in regards to wishing there were still servants felt...weird. 3. Painting was gorgeous!
Those lamps stopped me in my track. Those are stunning. And I don't think I have ever seen you as excited over an object as you were over the large art piece. Great finds -happy for you.
Karen could those lamps be what you have been looking for for your living room? I know you broke down and bought some but these are magnificent. You could sell the ones you bought and keep these lamps! Wow 😊
My husband’s grandfather was an artist and that style of painting reminds me of the work that was done in the 1930’s. The government funded the Civilian Conservation Corp and that extended into the Arts as well as practical infrastructure programs. Anyway…it reminded me of some of the work that was done during that time. It’s stunning.
My husbands great Grandpa was also an artist of that era, and the painting Karen picked up also reminded me of some of his works. She has such a good eye.
Very nice lamps of quality. I would keep them. Also the large canyon painting is awesome; looks nice in your own home, and something you both picked up together❤️. Love the cat nap inn one too. If you don't keep it, it should sell fast. Karen and Roger, we need more of the two of you thrifting together. Enjoy the fun and genuine laughter that's contagious. ❤️ 😍 💖
The painting is stunning and the colours are so vibrant. It looks so effective against your white wall. I love picking up artwork and I am lucky that I have been able to find a number of originals and vintage prints. Now I'm running out of wall space to hang them!!! 😶
That flower dish from England is worth 100 dollars on google lens. I loved the shopping trip actually I am jealous of your finds today. I could wake up an look at the view of the big painting everyday just beautiful. god bless thank you for your video's.
You're exactly right I remember watching a period pieces and the ladies would be out with that basket and cutting long stems and laying them in there. Never would have thought about that
I would use those very pretty canisters without lids for planters, or vases. The closet turned out to be very useful the way you have it set up. I love going on your thrifting travels, listening to chatter about all the things.
@cindyblumenthal8315 I missed seeing the prices, but I was thinking they would have made really classy-looking utensil holders in the kitchen or containers in which to stow your makeup brushes in the bathroom... How much were they?
Maybe that odd shaped basket could be for kindling wood by a fireplace? That's what came first to mind for me. I love the painting Karen, it is stunning and looks like the Grand Canyon
That giant painting is gorgeous! It reminds me of 1930s style - Georgia O'Keefe, Thomas Hart Benton, etc. You might want to check out Thomas Cole and Maynard Dixon.
Karen, I love the painting, so glad you picked it up! I would have picked up the fish, I think they would have flown out of your store and I liked the glass bird on the shelf where the beautiful wooden duck was. Thanks so much for taking us along!🥰
Karen, I'm looking forward to you and Roger getting the perfect booth. You could have a fabulous art wall and never have to leave behind a piece like that unique, (valuable) eagle with eaglet, and a booth will expand your margin for profit, overall. My goodness! Now you've done it. That Grand Canyon art piece .... Wow! Then those flawless lamps. I am officially envious Lol and happy for you. Rare day, rare donations. Glad you looked closely at the smalls at the store with so much fine, original artwork. You are Blessed. : )
Karen ,I think you should keep the beautiful art work and lamps for you and Roger . You work so hard and deserve a treat . If not I would by the 3 especially since you were in my goodwill 😂🤣
Just found you today. Enjoyed the video. Especially like your "Costco closet" I had one made in my last house bc we had a very small kitchen. I happened to use mine for the top 3 shelves for sheets/towels. The bottom shelves were my dtrs toys. It was invaluable to me. I hope you enjoy yours!
You guys are in my neck of the woods 😱😱😱 Liberty , 2A , or as we say 2nd Ave thrift , Savers, Habitat for humanity, Restore. We have some really good ones . Loves you guys ❤️❤️❤️
The rug seems to be Gashgai or luri pattern Persian hand knoted rug. Each provinve or town in Iran have their unique pattern. Worth thousands of dollars at least $3000 or $4000 if you buy from Persian carpet shop. The little damage on the side can be easily fixed.
Like Regis and Kathy its the "Roger and Karen" show 😅 Its so fun listening to you two chit chat in the car! You need your own talk show! 😆❤😆 You guys are great!
Holy buckets the lamps ……beeeeautiful quality find. “ Is somebody going to want this” great question. I admire so many items when thrifting but wouldn’t use them in my own home. Obviously the advantage of reselling 🤪. Love! The Cat Nap Inn piece.
It would be a bit longer ride, however, I was in 2a yesterday in Oxford Valley, PA. Shelves were packed. Much, much more Christmas. It is always a very well stocked, organized store 11:26
That was vintage Capodimonte to the right of the Aynsley flowers you were looking at. If in good shape, and a good price, quite a good pick up. I sold several pieces that we collected in Italy in 1984, when we lived there. Such a fun trip! Great eye!
The box at 11:59 that has the hinged top...ladies at our church use those as foot rests, especially those that have shorter legs. Just saying, that might be what it is.
GM Karen and Roger. Hope this beautiful day is good to you. I bought a huge, old oriental rug for $75 at an auction of Friedman Paul Erhardt "Chef Tell" things many, many years ago. Also, I'd keep the painting, since I remember you mentioning that you were looking for something like that.
Where you had the large painting sitting on the floor is a Great Wall for that piece. The colors were great with your room. Love watching you two shopping together
Love the big painting and I have the perfect spot for it! Let me know if you’re going to sell locally - I’m only an hour or so away, I think! Thank you!
Forget Taylor & Travis. Roger pointing at the pic and saying “that’s me & you” makes you guys the cutest couple ever❤
No wonder you two got married, ❤️ you guys make each other laugh so much!! 😂 Besides you two look good together! 😉
That Grand Canyon painting is absolutely gorgeous!!! Gotta love a statement painting !
Karen, I do love the large picture you bought just Beautiful. The Lamps are to die for as well. As always enjoy shopping with you both.

I agree. I watch her and Roger a lot and that comment needs to be edited out. I love your videos, Karen, but delete that. It was not ok.
Those are my colors in my house. I would snatch that painting in a second.
Those lamps stopped me in my track. Those are stunning. And I don't think I have ever seen you as excited over an object as you were over the large art piece. Great finds -happy for you.

The lamps, large painting and chalk painting are fantastic. You will do well with them all. Your taste is impeccable,

Trees shown through the car back window are so beautiful.
I love you and Roger when you thrift together. ❤
Basket maybe is used for collecting bloom stems from your flower garden. They would lay across.
You're exactly right I remember watching a period pieces and the ladies would be out with that basket and cutting long stems and laying them in there. Never would have thought about that
Thought it might have been a "gathering basket" designed to be used in the garden when picking flowers.
At the 2A thrift store in the beginning, when you put the cracked flower vase back, you put it right next to a Blenko Owl! 🦉🧡
I checked the owl and thought it was definitely a copy
The painting would have been gorgeous with that rug!!
I would use those very pretty canisters without lids for planters, or vases. The closet turned out to be very useful the way you have it set up. I love going on your thrifting travels, listening to chatter about all the things.
They were too expensive to use as planter.

That painting is amazing!! I live in Arizona and I do think that is an abstract of the Grand Canyon! ❤️
Scottsdale here - that would bring $1,000+ (if the artist had signed it & has a history).

Love the high end lamps that you found today. They look like they have never been used.
You both are just great to listen to.
Ainsley is good. There are tea cups that go for a crazy amount of money, but only certain ones.
Aynsley teacups signed by J. A. Bailey.
Keep the painting!! And lamps! :)
smart move on the canyon painting!!! Outstanding
I have been to the Grand Canyon twice and that painting looks like it is of the Grand Canyon! 😍

Omg Karen love that picture you have alot of light color on your walls keep it.❤
I think the chalk piece was a custom order where they woman sat for the artist or a photo.
I agree, the putting on and off of glasses is maddening. I waste so much time trying to see things and then finally give in and get them out.
Best episode ever!! That STUNNING painting & lamps!!
That basket we had 1 for picking flowers.😊
