I have both of these, my hair is naturally curly too. In all honesty I much prefer the GHD. It has the brushless motor, stays a consistent 120 degrees. I don’t get the frizzy roots like I do with the Dyson. And my hair stays silky and shiny all day. I think I may sell my airwrap.
Love the GHD side better! Now for the Shark Flex Sytler vs. GHD 🏆

I’ve been on the waiting list since last November for that Dyson large brush attachment. I got tired of waiting and just bought the GHD duet blow dry brush and I love it so much I posted the Dyson set I bought last year for sale. 😊 I also have thick wavy long hair and the large brush from GHD covers so much more so I can get it dry quicker and I love how these bristles don’t pull at all. Thank you so much for covering both of these tools it helped confirm my decision of keeping GHD!❤
Hi Julissa, when you turn on the ghd you should wait for the device to tell you when it is ready to use by the audible sound and light to stop blinking on the button. Hope that helps 🤗
I'm selling my airwrap and buying the GHD. I used GHD straighteners for years and never have I ever loved any flat irons other than the GHDs. The Dyson is TOO expensive and never smooths my hair especially close to the roots. I'd buy a GHD Duet and a GHD flat iron for the price of a Dyson Airwrap and I'm sure I'll have a good hair day every time. That's what I'd call a good investment. I was so excited for the Airwrap and I really tried to love it, but after a year of use, trying everything to make it work, it still leaves me disappointed. Also, I find the "healthier hair with the Dyson" statement is a myth; my hair is more damaged and a lot drier with the Dyson than it has ever been with regular of GHD Platinum for over 7 years. Us frizzy-haired girls shouldn't waste our hard-earned money on the airwrap. Honest opinion.
Hi Julissa. I love both sides 💖. I have the Duet Style, and I love that I can use it as a normal flatiron, so I was surprised that the Duet Blowdry didn't have the same "shine-shot" feature. It looks like an amazing blowout brush, but I think the price is a bit steep.
Hy Julissa. Both sides looks so good. Your hair looks so Shiny . I like the GHD side better. Great video as always. Keep up the good job. God bless you always 💕
ghd side is better but both are great. I just bought the dyson airwrap and love it but will definitely be picking up the ghd when it goes on sale. I have mostly ghd products and love, love, love them.
The GHD only goes up to a certain temperature because is science based: Ghd stylers are heat controlled to 185°C, which is proven to be the optimal temperature setting for these stylers to operate effectively and to maintain hair health. Ghd stylers easily distribute heat with help from aluminium plates covered with a thin layer of ceramic
@@gilliandean-m6t my commend was to address misinformation regarding saying the hotter tools are more beneficial to “thicker” hair vs. this hair. No heating tool is safe for hair health. I have all of Dyson hair tools and they do go past 150 as u stated. My Dyson flat iron goes up to 410.
I honestly think for the price of $400 the Dyson is a better product, you get so much more for an extra $200. I got the airwrap for Christmas and I honestly was not impressed because I like to blow try and then straighten my hair. Only reason why I didn’t keep it is because I already had the supersonic dryer. But when the airstraight came out I was beyond happy because it was what the airwrap did not help me achieve. I think if you want a blow out with curls that will last then the revlon one shot is more comparable. I’d love to see GHD vs revlon on low heat setting. I know the revlon is a bit harder on the hair but it’s a more affordable comparison ❤
GHD for sure! I have both and the Duet does a far better job of smoothing the hair and adding volume, the finish is just so much better with the Duet and the hair lasts longer.
Did the dyson side of your hair look that smooth after you used another tool on top of the dyson? Asking for clarification as you mentioned your hair gets a bit frizzier with the dyson this time of year and sometimes you have to go in with another tool? The GHD side looks phenomenal, so trying to determine, if you needed another tool on top of the dyson side to make the frizz go away or not.
Hi sorry is the GHD a dryer and also hot iron in one?? i tried the revlon styler with blowdryer/curler but had to take it back as really dried out my hair.... i tried to dyson but found it make my hair fluffy not styled... the GHD side on you looks great
I’ve just bought the shark hot brush - impressed although very heavy and it does get hot - I have slightly wavy hair which is fine and gets a bit fluffy be frizzy but the shark does a great job - I’ve been wondering if I should get the GHD. I have the Dyson airwrap but the brush does make my hair a bit frizzy; perhaps I need to practice with it as I have only used it a couple of times on a low ish setting
You would style your hair so much faster if you blow dry it 80% before using the brush. Plus less damage to the hair. This brushes are not intended to dry their hair, they are just for styling, use the blow dryer to get 80% dry first.
It definitely is faster, but sometimes rough drying allows the frizz to set in curly or frizzy hair, so some curly folks start with a brush much earlier to prevent the frizz and poofiness from setting in through a rough dry. It just depends on hair type if a rough dry works or makes things worse.
I feel like the dyson one should also have a more traditional looking blow dryer attachment with diffuser nozzle for the price. That’s just me though 🤷♀️
Thank you!!! 🙌🏾 You’re the best for these videos! 🥰 Both sides are gorgeous. 💕 Using the Sephora card’s first purchase discount to knock down the price. I think since I tend to go back and forth between straight and wearing my curls, I’ll go with Dyson. But if I didn’t wear my curly hair, I’d go with GHD. Appreciate all your help! 🫶🏽 Can’t wait to see your next video.
One thing I don't like about Dyson (which I love and use at home), I can't travel with it. My older ghd flat iron are all universal and work in any country I travel to. Is the GHD duet blow-dry brush also a universal plug? Can I take it to other countries with me?
¡Hola Julissa!
Dyson is bad , it destroyed my hair my hair was dry like the desert. Strawlike and brittle. Took months to get my hair back to normal and using my old cheap dryer. Never again. I wasted so much money.
@@gabrielaguilhen6231 Really good. I’m a black woman with 3c curls and this got my hair quite straight. I’m working on the blow out look lol. You do it effortlessly, but there this does take technique.
My hairdresser actually advised me not to us any dyson hair tools at all. They appear to be not as hot as other tools and thus not damage your hair. But she said is just make-believe cause the air comes our differently. She s got several clients with hair ruined by dyson hair tools! I had the whole air-wrap kit and returned it after testing it. Curls did not last at all...and everything took ages.
Finally I see someone who is being honest. My sister bought the Dyson air wrap and she was kind enough to lend it to me for a couple weeks. Worst hair days of my life. I did see a short circulating about a lady’s hair being severely damaged by the Dyson and her hair dresser had to cut a decent amount off. Her hairdresser also told her to stop using the Dyson.
This! My fine highlighted hair looked awful using Dyson, Shark and now T3 360. All of them have made my hair look and feel dry and somewhat frizzy. Not healthy at all. My hair never looked hundreds of dollars better by using these expensive tools. Everyone is so concerned about the heat but the airflow also needs to be addressed because obviously it’s causing issues for some ppl.. I am back to a simple ionic blow dryer and original low air revlon blow dry brush and silky hair returned.
I'm one of those. The Dyson ruined my hair. It became parched, strawlike and brittle. It needed many months of conditioning treatments and my old cheap dryer to get my hair in a better condition. Awful , expensive product.
hi! I bought the airwrap the new version before the large round brush attachment was added… the large round brush was always out of stock in the Dyson site and now it’s not there all together… does anyone know where I can purchase?🙈🙈🙈
I would suggest calling Dyson I have done that when the product I want is out of stock on line and they always seem to have what I want available so I can buy it.
Im sold on GHD although I do want the curling barrels but I think with the GHD I will get the curls plus if I really want more curls I’ll have to use a curling iron. Btw I do have naturally curly hair like you.
the ghd looks better because she is taking smaller sections, the tool is very hot and the brush is thinner. in the dyson area she took huge sections doin 50.000 passes on the same spot...not fair...also guess which side will look worse over time because of heat damage?..ghds get very hot and dont have temperature setting which is insane, they claim that the tool has a sensor but its bs, it gets extremely hot to ensure results and damages the crap out of the hair...i have a ghd gold wide plates straightner and it destroyes the hair from the first use...it makes it pin straight yes but loks dry and has billions of split ends and starts to break

Totally agree about the larger barrel attachment for the Dyson. I bought it on its own to add to my Dyson accessories collection ❤❤❤❤

Correct
Heat damage occurs over 150 degrees, dyson never go above 150 degrees, ghd is far to hot and damaging.

the ghd side looks so shiny and showcases your curls at the end, whereas the dyson looks great but feels more like a traditional blowout look
