Tear Out This Old Stack Yard

  • We are in a bit of a lull here on the ranch as all the fall cattle work is done, and we aren't feeding cows yet because of the amazing weather. So, its time to take advantage of the time and the weather and get to some random ranch projects (and have a little fun in the process). We used to use this stack yard about 20 years ago, but now we just graze the little meadow where it is located, so its time to remove it. Nothing like a little manual labor with the kids on a beautiful day.

I've been following the Dry Creek Wrangler for quite a while now, he's a good, down to earth man, and he put me on to your channel today. So, I watched a couple of your videos and, of course I subscribed right away. This looks like a great channel. Happy new year to you and your family! I'm looking forward to your videos in 2024. And Dewayne was right, your kids are great. I'm surprised at how much they can already do at such a young age.

Thumbs up for the ultra cute little helpers. Reminds me of when my boys were little. FWIW you cut fence the same way I do, you use a bolt cutters. Fencing pliers are for the birds when you need to cut wire more than about once in a day.

Teaching your children the values of land ownership and stewartship is so important and seems to be a lost thing these days. Thank you for allowing us into your piece of WY.

Well I have never cut a fence staple in half. We have always pulled them and reused them. I have never seen wire rolled that way either. Interesting to see how other folks do things.
