Your stew looks delicious, what I would do differently is instead of topping the jars off with plain water, I’d make this ahead of time , is hot water with dissolved beef base that way you add to the flavour instead of watering down the stew. ❤

You don't want to leave your pressure canned foods in the canner for hours, or overnight. They could flat sour. You can look it up, and I have not had it happen to me, as I always remove them in under an hour, but others have had it happen to them. That would be so very disappointing, after all that work! Just FYI!

This is an old recipe that the women made to use up any leftovers they had from the garden. I put carrots and celery in mine, and I've been known to throw in kale, spinach, and any leftover squash. It's really a very versatile recipe. I make no knead bread with mine ❤
