Having owned several core PRS models and having access to a core DGT down the street - I was blown away with the SE DGT. Incredible. Love your DGT and would love to see you compare and contrast the give away if available. (and mainly just want to hear your hands on the SE version) Congrats on the signature Tuttle! Super cool but well deserved. Thanks as always for the content.
Congratulation for the signature guitar, quite an achievement in a life! With one of your friends/partner also. That is well deserved. The lion sounds great it seems. I always find these amp in a box style pedals still feel and sound like a pedal. Reaction to clean up and reaction to picking velocity.. I had a xotic sl drive a ehile ago but got a real marshall snd thenbgot rid of it.
Have you ever tried a dummy coil? I built a parts caster 11 years ago. I took the magnets out of a cheap Squeir bullet pickup, and wrapped the coil in electrical tape and foil. It fits between the switch and the sides of the cavity with no butchery. It goes in series between the output of the switch and the volume pot, and it works perfectly. True single coils are dead silent in all 5 positions. No more reverse wound center pickup, no more being trapped on pos. 2 & 4, it's a win-win. If you have a beater Strat that's a sort of crash test dummy that's not too precious, give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I have that backplate on another guitar that’s basically the dummy coil. I thought The DiMarzio’s sounded better. I know there is a newer version that Ilitch makes that Ron Ellis said sounded good.
@@JeffMcErlain I saw one of those in a book, and it was my first choice, but the $$$ were a bit too steep at the time. Then I did a pickup swap and electronics upgrade for a friend, and Voila! I got 3 Squeir pickups as salvage! As pickups to play through, they aren't worth the breath it takes swear at them, but get rid of the magnets and the coils are just fine. I still have the other two if this situation comes up again. I'm Mr. Salvage, and also Mr. Partscaster. They day I stop will be the day they shovel dirt over me. Too much big fun!!
For a Strat guy, how do you approach the two pickups on a Les Paul? Do you use the middle pickup on the Strat? What about positions 2 and 4? There's nothing on a Les Paul that can come close to those sounds. Do you use the two pickups together on the Les Paul? Do you try to trim the bridge or neck pickup volume controls to try to approximate those Strat tones? I find the two pickup sound to be nasally and not as useful as the Strat middle pickup. Curious to how you transition between the guitars with respect to pickup selection.
I will say that I’ve had a guitar that I hated the treble bleed on it. I also have a guitar with a treble bleed I love and doesn’t do what everyone describes as the problem with treble bleeds. I dunno why but it’s true. So they must not all be created equal. Oh and Andy Timmons sounds great with one. To each his own.
Absolutely beautiful playing
Thank you!!
Love the color of the Stratocaster!❤
Thanks!
Dig the signature Strat Jeff!
Thanks!!!

You did a video for me a few years ago for Do You Remember. The link is now broken. Do you still have that video?
I can get a 24th fret high e off the cover of my tele neck pickup, lol
Would have loved it if you just got up and said just a minute, guys. Then, you came back with ice cream in hand 😂😂
😂 that would be awesome. Lol.
