No problem! This is why running the simulations is so important. I for some reason (likely thinking of other games) thought that the direct hit did not apply the splash to the target. Our assumptions can lead us down wrong paths and even as in this simulation I might have been a noob and not known why I was getting the results I got.... I still had the data and conclusion if not the exact algorithm! 😊
good take on SBB... people still think its a good OC... it puts down your shield recharing delay to your overheat duration (5s) and people think Boosted Converter will help cause your shield recharges faster... problem with this OC is, when you get hit, you need the dmg the most Edit: should have watched your SBB vid befor commenting this XD
One note about shield battery booster that actually makes me love the OC: When you overheat the gun and it drops your shields, your shields begin to recharge when the gun is done overheating. Not after the normal shield recharge delay. You can even see this in action at 13:05. Gun overheats, shield goes down, shield begins recharging once overheat animation is finished. Why is this useful? Well, if you take the armor mod that results in a much faster shield recharge, and you take the shield link perk, suddenly your shield recharge rate is very quick, on the order of 1-1.5 seconds. So this helps a lot with getting you back in the game if you accidentally overheat the gun. But consider this: You can take manual heat dump too. Now, in exchange for purposefully breaking your own shields, you get a faster overheat animation, about a second long, and your shields recharge very quickly once the overheat is done thanks to recharge speed armor mod and shield link. Okay, things look much better now, but we still haven't hit upon the final piece: If you are going to be using manual heat dump, you might as well take Hot Feet too. Now a play style comes together: Use Shield Battery Booster's crazy upsides to shred through some bugs until your heat meter is almost full. Manual heat dump, gaining crazy move speed for a few seconds. Once the manual heat dump animation is finished, your shield instantly starts recharging, and thanks to shield recharge speed armor mod and shield link perk, it comes back up in about a second. Repeat this process for a good time. Now this all sounds well and good, but if a bug hits you, then this whole overheat, run away, recharge cycle breaks, right? Wrong. If a bug hits you, you lose the OC bonuses and normally would have to wait for deep rock galactic's painfully slow shield recharge delay of like 8 seconds, but overheating the Drak with shield battery booster _immediately sets your shield recharge delay to be the duration of the overheat animation, whether or not your shield was full beforehand._ This means that, anytime your shield is not at full, you can fire off a few shots, manual heat dump, and be back at full shields in under 3 seconds. With hot feet, this also allows you to reposition to avoid further damage. Now, shield battery booster is not just an OC that heavily rewards you for maintaining shield uptime, it's also a tool that helps you do so! EDIT: It looks like the OC may no longer behave this way. Be sure to test it out yourself before relying on it. What a shame, too. Was fun while it lasted.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I decided not to put in the video as I thought it might take a long time to explain and confuse people. I must admit I never thought about including hot feet or taking that next step of manually dropping your shields to quickly get them back. I will be trying your suggestions out ASAP! Rock and stone!
Oh my god... My world is different now! I enjoyed the Shield Booster even without the armor mod and shield link and hot feet, but really struggled on maps like magma core or fungus bogs, now it might be so different! Thank you so much!
Now say, the only thing I'm still not at peace yet is Shield Link perk, which, iirc, only works if you are REALLY close (like 4 meters) to a teammate. And that doesn't appeal to me as I usually enjoy to stay a little bit away from my team (remember all that friendly fire?). Sometimes it cannot be avoided (like salvage missions) but still..
@@squeezyjibbs6643 That's fair. Shield link is probably the least impactful part of the strategy. It does increase shield regen by quite a bit, but you essentially only get the benefit when you are holding a point on salvage ops or doing drilldozer. Since scout is the most isolated class, you get the least benefit out of it. But, also consider that shield link is an active perk, and since you are scout with hot feet, you really don't need sprinter. So, assuming one slot is iron will or medic, you're only giving up the other of the pair. Another thing to consider is that, with hot feet, you can sorta pull off a "drive by" shield regen where you only get close to a teammate when you need the shield regen. This does often result in getting chipped by FF though, which ruins everything. I just included it here for completeness. Plus I think it fits the theme of some sorta scout shield jury-rigging expert. Buffing teammates shields with the active is fun, but it's hard to tell whether it helps.
Rewiring mod actually works really well as a combo weapon if you take a secondary with a decent amount of ammo efficiency to match it. Taking tier 3 hot feet allows you to reposition in between bursts and the tier 4 electrocution mod works well with the zhukov's tier 5 conductive bullets and the boltshark's tier 5 magnetic shafts. The default cooldown timer is long enough to switch to your secondary, finish off the enemies you've already damaged, and reload. It's not as good for single target damage as some other overclocks but it certainly does help for those missions where you've got 79 nitra and not a single vein in sight
Great vid! In my opinion the Drak has some of the best OC balance in the game when it comes solely to fun. Nearly every option is unique and offers some sort of playstyle change even if one option is technically better than another.
@@toastedcowgiraffegummybrea2133 the crossbow OCs completely change it up as well, with fire or cryo bolts. I love the Specialist mod with pheromone bolts, very powerful
4:20 You do not need to reload cancel the overheat animation the traditional way by swapping to another weapon. However you can click to begin firing before the animation is finished (same thing is present when the lead storm minigun overheats) while the scout is slapping the heat shield.
Awesome thanks for the tip. I do find that it is inconsistent though, sometimes I can fire straight away and other times not. Do you get that or something I am doing wrong?
All questions of power and viability aside, combining an Aggressive Venting Drak-25 build with Cryo Minelet Zhukovs creates an amazingly fun back-and-forth combat loop of speed boosts and thermal shock combos.
OPA for close range almost like a shotgun, bolt shark with quick fire for those long range HVT kills has worked really well for me. You could also use embedded Dets as your HVT weapon, surprisingly good even at med-long range. I don’t have impact deflection or TEF so OPA is my current go to for the drak
Very new player and Thermal Exhaust Feedback has been insane for me. It was my first scout OC and it has made a world of difference. Also this video was very insightful and im glad to find more people to follow for content.
I did not play the game a year ago, but fun to see how Shield battery is now so much better. Shield starts recharging immediately with the armor mod and IF your shield somehow breaks you only need to swap to your secondary for a couple seconds max. It is my go-to scout loadout for anything but shield disruption
Ah cool! I haven't been following the latest patches. I did do this kind of apology video for SBB after my analysis on it, maybe I cover some of what you're saying: ruclips.net/video/ZMIElBxiOzU/видео.htmlsi=phCPcwoi9X5EX0cd
I would like to add something to OPA's defence. It is awesome when paired with Zhukovs Cryo Minelets. I understand that you are looking at the primary weapon only but hear me out. Raw direct damage of OPA paired with insane control potential of CM and IFG's is terrifying. Frozen Pretorians, Nexuses, Spitbalers just got *melted* under OPA's fire with no chance to unfreeze. And Impact Deflection is not capable of that because half of its damage is splash which is not multiplies by freeze.
I find it works really well with the Zukhovs built for damage. If you don't care about sustainability on the Drak at all, you can just dump it until it overheats and then switch to the Zhukhovs to get that bonus damage from the electricity. Having a backup bullet hose covers the weakness of OPA and lets you focus on the burst damage potential.
Yeah I use cryo minlet zhukovs with the opa drak and cryo grenades. It's my go to scout loadout. I feel like I can do any mission type and handle loads of crowds.
6:55 the reason the mactera took more damage is because macteras have a 100% vulnerability to fire damage (tldr: they take double damage from fire) and the plasma splash deals fire damage
I've actually had a lot of fun running Plasma Splash on OPA to make up for the long-range problems it faces. Having that wiggle room when the spread is still so messy at long ranges even after the accuracy mod is really nice.
Splash OPA is my goto build when running Drak tbh. I rarely run Drak without Splash, because if I'm just looking for single target damage the M1000 is right there, and I just love the raw damage OPA delivers.
You've opened my eyes to Thermal Exhaust feedback, I don't usually run my Drax build on scout so I've only tried Overtuned particle accelerator, Rewiring, Aggressive venting & impact deflection. Shield booster always seemed horrible to me happy to see it confirmed without having to waste my time trying it for multiple matches. Overtuned particle accelerator from using it for a handful of matches is also quite awful. Time to try Thermal Exhaust feedback maybe I'll start liking the Drax more as compared to my M1000 builds.
Outstanding!!! The facts speak for themselves and you served em up nice and hot!! Thanks yet again for the solid well thought out content. /crowd cheers 🍻
You've got a neat visual style for side by side comparisons, one thing i noticed though is it's tough to make out small text like at 1:48 where I didn't realize you listed the exact build numbers until I replayed that part.
9:10 definitely speedboost, you can manually overheat after only like 2 secs of shooting with T1 cooling mod, it's perfect for quick disengagements since you're going to be shooting at close range mostly. It cools down very very quickly too, like 1.5 seconds. This build makes you feel like a speed demon, especially if you take it on elimination missions
to me the rewiring mod is really good , I have my mods set up as 1 2 3 11 or 1 2 3 11 , you gonna get lots ammo back might as well put some damage on it , I usually go with armor breaking mod just that I can take out certain enemies quicker , once my Drak is over heat swap out my zhukov and empty the mags then swap back to Drak you don't need to have the weapon in hand for cooling down . my zhukov build is 1 3 2 1 1 with gas recycling , this allows you constantly firing you weapons with very little down time , they do very good damage too
I've played around with it, and while I like the rewiring mod for its longevity it just doesn't have the damage to match the other OCs. I find I have to run the electric status mod for it to feel useful. I find its also challenging to optimize since the way I play scout is to deal with either separated mobs(webbers/acid spitters) or helping finish off bigger mobs. I find myself needing to waste ammo just to get up to a point where I can force an overheat unless its a full wave.
@@voicetest6019 yeah having electrical damage is nice but I personally just don't like taking long time to kill a target that I wanted . Just because of this I use gk2 more than drak even a lot people say gk2 is no where as good as drak
I think one drawback with Thermal Exhaust Feedback is the attention it needs during combat, which could be needed elsewhere, especially without mods to make heat easier to see. Currently I use Overtuned Particle Accelerator for elemination missions, cause the Drak can electrocute and the trifork crossbow needs that in case you run out of ifgs. OPA is nice there since for the big guys it usually doesn't make that much of a difference how far away you are danger wise and it does the most dps there. Thermal and impact deflection suffer a bit form resistances there. To be fair tho with how good trifork is against bosses you mostly use the drak for getting there and the ocasional electrocute.
@@squeezyjibbs6643 Ok I just confirmed with testing that all of them are immune to electrocution. I must've either mistaken something happening on the experimental or there was a bug. I still think the electrocution can be useful in that case since it allows you to get rid of certain enemies without having to use an ifg, but I'll think about switching to the m1k or using armorbreak on that tier instead. Thanks for pointing it out!
Thanks so much for this content. I really appreciate your deep dives into these weapons and making all these build suggestions. I'm a long time Xbox DRG player and love your channel!
Rewirering Mod is a trap. Ppl juice their pickle over "ammo efficiency" but how much do you really need? Not much ! Especially if it is super cluncky like the OC. A main weapon build for performance is king. If you go for nitra as a scout you easily sustain yourself and team through any combat.
Awesome. In the description is my Discord server. I announce the next video I work on and ask for opinions. Any help is always appreciated! Rock and stone!
RE: Thermal Exhaust Feedback, I think 21312 is a good alterantive to 21212. Hot Feet is genuinely helpful to the point I sometimes intentionally magdump into an oppressor to overheating, the the speed boost helps me run away. It's a lot faster because TEF does more damage the closer to overheating, so the last few shots prior to overheating do the most damage.
I think two glaring issues with TEF is that it is a much harder minigame then ID and that the TEF analysis dosent account for the effectiveness of ID and OPA at getting high heat then switching to your secondary to do an instant 2 shot with Boom then switching back to ID and OPA already cooled.
Really loved your video! The side-by-side comparisons were very helpful, and the visuals are really well balanced with the script and video content! Another outstanding job! I have only one issue, and that is it feels like you neglected SBB quite a bit. Even aside from how you personally feel about its viability, I think you should have included side-by-side comparisons like every other OC, if not to show what it's capable of, then at least for consistency with how you presented the other OCs. Also, I know someone else put together a very well crafted response about how well MHD and shield link can mitigate much of the downsides of the OC, but even without those, SBB is not as hard to use as you make it seem. I run SBB as my default for all missions (except shield disruption) and I can keep uptime on my OC without much problem. What I'm getting at is that our feels like you didn't give SBB a fair chance, and instead of using your platform to encourage people to try all the OCs out, you dismissed it without a second thought. And I think that's a disservice to the portion of your audience that leaves the video convinced SBB isn't even worth trying.
Really great feedback and food for thought. I never thought of myself being able to influence people in that way but you are absolutely right! I will reflect on how to manage the video not getting bloated yet still be fair and how much I let my opinion come across. Thank you for your well thought out and constructive comment. Very much appreciated! Rock and stone!
You should try OPA with splash upgrade, it annihilates hordes and it also upgrades your accurasy because even if you miss your target you can still hit it with splash damage.
I did give that build a try for about 7 runs. It was ok but did not blow me away. Kind of felt like nerfing the main benefit to try and mitigate the main weakness. I never did the simulations with it though. Before the best builds compared I will run some simulations. Thanks for sharing!
@@GamingExistence It isn't the strongest build but I like runing so that I can take out things at a distance more easily because I mainly use shotgun as a secondary. Anyways great video
I’ve watched a bunch of videos on this weapon and everyone keeps saying to shoot bouncy rounds at the ground. It takes some getting used too but you can actually bounce the round off of the bug themselves. The best place to do it is the head and have it bounce on their legs
Shield battery booster overclock is really good on dredmissions, but I don’t really like to on othermission. You can have a lot of ammo and good dmg. Scout is the best class to avoid shield/health dmg. With right perks and equipment it a lot more easy to manage shield health + gunners throwable shield gets you instantly to full shield.
Well done video. I pretty much rated these the opposite though lol. Love the shield battery booster and it is the only one I will use for it. I pair the drak with the nuk17s due to their damage increase against electrocuted targets. So if I overheat the drak or lose shields, it is just a matter of a weapon swap. The extra ammo from the OC is also extremely valuable imo. Also, remember you can take things like shield link to make your shield regen faster, which really helps in those moments like black box, etc. where you are close to teammates.
I cannot live without rewire mod nearly tripling your ammo. If you take splash damage instead of electric it can kill any swarm with great ammo efficiency if you have the time/space, just remember to compensate for single target damage somehow.
I really like Thermal Exhaust Feedback with the Hot Feet Mod, because the longer overheat also lengthens the speed boost. During it you can switch to your secondary and easily kite the bugs while blasting away. Also if you use the tier 5 mod thermal feedback loop it gives a RoF boost past the 50% heat mark, you can overheat quite fast with it without manual heat dump. Instead of trying to mitigate the overheat, I love that they give you many ways to build around it and actually turn the downsides into a positive.
awesome, thx for all the testing ! need to test some builds now. usualy running 12212/impact deflection, but will test a thermal exaust feedback build, maybe a good choice vs robots? we'll see.
I think the damage is only fire damage but still great against mactera. My mistake was not realising a direct hit with a splash weapon still deals the splash damage to the original target! Something I have been painfully made aware of 😭
@@GamingExistence x) that why i take 5 aoe on my particle accelerator so you can destroy swarm of brunt on close range (and it is easier to aime at web spiter) and for long range i will use secondarie like crosbow
I have personal problem with Manual Heat Dump, it's just so inconvinient to use, constantly shifting my index finger from D to R and back isn't fun. And it's so annoying having "forced downtime". This is what i dislike about shard diffractor too since clear overclock what solves that issue didn't make it on live servers - once you release the trigger you can't start shoting immidiately, there is a cooldown just like on drak with MHD, you press it and there is another enemy, but you can't shot for a good second and a half. So, i have to, but i can't, make a decision about pressing R or not, after EVERY burst, so i do it automatically instead, regardless of situation. This makes ANY build based on MHD not fun to use at least for me. Thats why i prefer Thermal Exhaust because it allows me to snap from target to target with really short burst, annihilating one bug after another at the pace a can sustain.
Rewiring Mod was with. 1,2,1,1,1. The 2000ish and 1800ish was based on 560 starting ammo. You can fire whatever the amount it is that I display on that chart. 37 ammo I think it was, but you get 27 back with MHD at the right point. That's 10 ammo cost to fire 37 shots. 560/10*37 + the ish for the odd bits in the final dregs of the magazine. But of course you will lose that X percentage on forgetting to MHD, doing it at the wrong time or tap firing and not getting to enough heat. Hope that helps.
I still think Impact Deflectiong is better than OPA in practice. In the heat (pun intended) of battle it is way more difficult to manage your weapon heat properly than it is in this testing environment here. And as soon as you do, OPA loses its edge over ID hands down. On top of that, it just feels nicer to me, but that's purely subjective.
I hate this gun.. I never play scout and haven't haven't leveled him up above 5 and the game keeps giving me OCs for this particular gun, I have 4 ocs for it and still no leadstorm oc
I think TEF will give you that extra damage. From memory you won't set them on fire, not without help but some TEF shots to head will take em down quick. OPA also but harder to get the head weakpoint hits
Can I ask how does Manual heat dump work ? Is it passice or do you have to activated somehow ? I have it on my gun and it doesnt show anything different.
Yeah is fine to use. Some mods will change the lobby to (modded) you will see this top right with your name. Some mods are sandbox, so you need a separate save file from your normal one. Heat mod, damage numbers, health and shield numbers are all valid in any game.
Mods are sorted into 3 categories -Verified - Client-side mods only, they usually change stuff like visuals or sounds, you can have them on in multiplayer even in unmodded lobbies since the mod doesnt affect any of the other players -Approved - approved for progression, you dont need to be on a sandbox save to use them but using them will flag your lobby as modded and they do affect other players, getting some teammates might be harder if youre running a modded lobby -Sandbox - You need to be on a sandbox save to use these, which means missions done using these mods will not count toward progression on your main save the heat visualiser is verified so you can use it in any lobby with no problem, it doesnt affect other players
Thermal exhaust feedback is my favourite Overclock in the game, but I run it as a 1,1,2,1,2. Do you think the safe or burst variants out class the build I commonly use?
For balance we should just remove impact deflection from the game.. it would be faster at this point becausd bouncy projectiles are extremely difficult to balance by itself
Interesting idea. It's a tough one because it is a cool and unique idea that can be fun to use. But... It's also unique and this a very different play experience and to manage as the developer. I personally like it, it would be cool if it could be used with good benefits which did not require the shooting at the ground Infront of the target.
Personally I just don't like the weapon very much, it feels like it's meant to have pierce or consistent element to it, but it just doesn't. I compare it to the Engi stubby, but the Stubby is better.
Im having a real hard time liking the carbine, and every time i equip it just fails. Edit: Im not saying this gun is poopy, i see so many loving it, but it doesnt fit my play style.
I really felt the same way but forced myself to use it for over 3 promotions when season 2 dropped and to get info for the video. I really like TEF now and I think it the Drak can be good with it or Impact. I still prefer the M1000 though and think it is better in most situations.
I'm a nervous shot with the m1000... I like the spray and firehose style of the drak. I love how the devs have something now for the less precise players like myself...
@@GordonGordon Yeah really good point! I started with hipster, then focus hipster and now focus builds. But I still get annoyed with missing focus shots and feel like I need more practice!
Ty! great job. even with immidiatly shield recharg Shield cuz OC... Shield battery booster feels more harm. if the condition was the presence of at least 25% of the shield. I agree. it would be a cool overclock that brings benefits. But now....do not think its good.even very experince players take damage and need time to recharge shield back to 100% with out taking any damageon this period.
I think Impact Deflection is a bit weak. Sure, you can use the splash damage to get an extra 5 damage, but the area is very small and you basically lose out on 10 damage if you're hitting a frozen target. Even with Impact Deflection, I feel like Electricity is still the go to, since you can electrocute multiple enemies while doing full direct damage, whereas the splash damage requires enemies to be really close, and even then, hitting the enemy directly may just make the round bounce off to the sky, meaning you've lost damage. The OC definitely needed an extra bounce to really stand out.
Most of your input seems to come from the HAZ6x2 community. I have found them to have some biases, be carefull with that. OPA 21112 is best. Same dps as higher firing rate builds and incredible ammo efficiency still. Works very good with builds that use cryo bolts or grenade. SBB is hot garbage, total trap. TEF just loses to OPA, if you want fire spread take boomstick or firebolt. ID is better with T4A. Everyone falls for the T4B trap. Its useless. The AoE is (1m) aka garbage and you lose out on weakpoint damage by halving your kinetic damage.
Dude I've been looking for someone with this build for WEEKS. Nobody seems to combine Custom Coil Alignment with OPA. I've been running 21112 since the beginning, tried using Velocity or RPM several times, even manual heat dump and other mods but each time I came back to 21112. It just makes sense, I feel like most DRG players must have crazy shit aim not going for weakspots because nobody seems to go for this build. Everyone prefers close range RPM or damage abuse leaving them with no ammo after 4mins of gaming, hence the shit on Drak because they can't make it work or sth idk. Now I'm waiting to get my hands on OPA, can't wait, and I expect it to make my build absolutely ridiculous.

This is how all splash weapons in this game work. Target takes both direct damage and AOE because it's in the AOE.

It's not as good for single target damage as some other overclocks but it certainly does help for those missions where you've got 79 nitra and not a single vein in sight
Great vid! In my opinion the Drak has some of the best OC balance in the game when it comes solely to fun. Nearly every option is unique and offers some sort of playstyle change even if one option is technically better than another.
fr all scouts ocs change the weapon up usually in a fun way (i know less abt secondaries for scout ocs and none abt boltshark)
@@toastedcowgiraffegummybrea2133 the crossbow OCs completely change it up as well, with fire or cryo bolts. I love the Specialist mod with pheromone bolts, very powerful
The sound pitch changing for the drak is designed well enough so i know when to stop shooting to not overheat.
@@GamingExistence I personally haven't noticed any inconsistencies when animation cancelling in this way.
Awesome to hear! TEF is my go to for the Drak! Welcome to the game, channel plus rock and stone!
Duuude i just discovered you and those overclock analyses are super helpful and in-depth. Keep up the good work!
I like your words, funny numbers man.
No one is talking about his editing it's amazing
You absolute legend.
I went looking for this earlier today and didn't find anything.
Decided to check again on lunch and here we are!
No
RIP any ability to kill targets 20+ m away or any mactera though lol
@@mattyhill9919 If only you had a tool that allows you to close the gap really quickly and has infinite uses on a short cooldown...
6:55 the reason the mactera took more damage is because macteras have a 100% vulnerability to fire damage (tldr: they take double damage from fire) and the plasma splash deals fire damage
I will always love rewiring mod purely because just having ammo to burn on scout is really nice
14:17 I like 1.2.3.1.2
I go balls to the walls, lead foot spray.
These are very well made videos! Keep it up :D
Outstanding!!! The facts speak for themselves and you served em up nice and hot!! Thanks yet again for the solid well thought out content. /crowd cheers 🍻
You are great for my self esteem and ego! "Crowd cheers" 😝
Glad you liked it! Rock and stone!
You've got a neat visual style for side by side comparisons, one thing i noticed though is it's tough to make out small text like at 1:48 where I didn't realize you listed the exact build numbers until I replayed that part.
You deserve much more subs dude. Rock and Stone
Great content! Love the video!
You said Rewiring mod set up 12311 twice
@@prich0382my bad. The other one uses armor breaking
Dreadnaughts are immune to the electrocution tho... The only things they are affected by are IFGs and taser bolts, iirc.
@@squeezyjibbs6643 Not all of them are they? I remember it working on the experimental at the very least. Might've been a bug tho?
@@squeezyjibbs6643 Ok I just confirmed with testing that all of them are immune to electrocution. I must've either mistaken something happening on the experimental or there was a bug.
I still think the electrocution can be useful in that case since it allows you to get rid of certain enemies without having to use an ifg, but I'll think about switching to the m1k or using armorbreak on that tier instead.
Thanks for pointing it out!
@@Kiwi9552 No problem, mate! R&S!

Thanks for such a deep analysis. I love such videos!
Good stuff. Can't wait to see your analysis for other weapons!
Why does it feel like I'm watching a hyper edited dramatic 2016 video essay when I'm just tryna learn about overclocks!
Thanks so much for this content. I really appreciate your deep dives into these weapons and making all these build suggestions. I'm a long time Xbox DRG player and love your channel!
Great video and thanks for sharing the mods, this helped me so much for testing my own builds.
Nice guide. Just got TEF as my first Drak OC and was sending how to use it properly - thanks for the build advice. Now to go set some bugs on fire...
I'm hoping you do a video like this on the Warthog. I really love the way you breakdown the data
love the game analysis real good shit.
Hi there, I really love your video formats and great editing, easy to digest information. Would you be able to do an update for season 5 in DRG?
Fantastic video as usual, if and when you do the Autocannon video i would be happy to give my two cents on it
Awesome. In the description is my Discord server. I announce the next video I work on and ask for opinions. Any help is always appreciated!

@@GamingExistence Cheers, R&S
If you use manual heat dump with shield battery booster it starts recharging the shield immediately. Paired with boosted converter its much better
Would love overclock analysis on driller and gunner, great analysis video.
Amazing video! Waiting for more like this. I got all the oc in the same ranking as you but didn’t know why XD just the result of using all of them
holy cow that was good content subbed
good job intresting results. = D
also i love the drak.
SBB also has a -50% cooling rate that is not shown in the tool tip of the oc. This hurts a lot and is honestly too much for an already hard to use oc.
I think two glaring issues with TEF is that it is a much harder minigame then ID and that the TEF analysis dosent account for the effectiveness of ID and OPA at getting high heat then switching to your secondary to do an instant 2 shot with Boom then switching back to ID and OPA already cooled.
cool a video bout the L Star
@Brandon Chew I may well do a SBB booster with additional information. Do you mind if I screen grab your comment and perhaps use it in the video?
I personally live and die by the aggressive venting, the AOE on scout is just too valuable IMO.
I’ve watched a bunch of videos on this weapon and everyone keeps saying to shoot bouncy rounds at the ground. It takes some getting used too but you can actually bounce the round off of the bug themselves. The best place to do it is the head and have it bounce on their legs
Season 4 will buff sheild battery booster, so if you take a specific armour mod, your sheild will start regenerating only one second after damage!
I came to the conclusion that i dont like the drak, i thinkt its too complicated, i like less thinking more killing. great video tho
6:58 mactera are 50 percent weak to fire, so yhats why the plasma splash does more damage.
My like was 1000 number!:)
great video, you should look into driller's weapons
Great video
I hope the Drak gets buffed no season 4, feels like the worth primary for scout.
Instead of trying to mitigate the overheat, I love that they give you many ways to build around it and actually turn the downsides into a positive.
awesome, thx for all the testing ! need to test some builds now. usualy running 12212/impact deflection, but will test a thermal exaust feedback build, maybe a good choice vs robots? we'll see.
mactera are week to explotion domage so the +5 explosion domage work better on them
I think the damage is only fire damage but still great against mactera. My mistake was not realising a direct hit with a splash weapon still deals the splash damage to the original target! Something I have been painfully made aware of 😭
@@GamingExistence x)
that why i take 5 aoe on my particle accelerator so you can destroy swarm of brunt on close range (and it is easier to aime at web spiter) and for long range i will use secondarie like crosbow
@@pimon77 Testing this build right now! Well when I load in!
You said that Shield Battery Booster loses all its bonuses if your shield takes damage, but you keep the fire rate.
My mistake, yes it is just the damage and projectile speed. But the +1 ROF and 50 ammo are small compared to what you lose when the shields go down.
Would love a video for the cryo cannon
Great informative video just have a couple of questions.
What was the build used for rewiring mod here ? And how was the ammo bonus calculated ?
Rewiring Mod was with.
1,2,1,1,1.
The 2000ish and 1800ish was based on 560 starting ammo. You can fire whatever the amount it is that I display on that chart. 37 ammo I think it was, but you get 27 back with MHD at the right point. That's 10 ammo cost to fire 37 shots. 560/10*37 + the ish for the odd bits in the final dregs of the magazine.
But of course you will lose that X percentage on forgetting to MHD, doing it at the wrong time or tap firing and not getting to enough heat.
Hope that helps.
I agree on shield battery booster, it would be better if the damage bonus was based on your battery percentage
Do I need to have the drak on me for the ammo to refill or can I switch to another weapon while the drak is cooling?
Yes I think you can.
I like battery booster because of the ammo increase
I still think Impact Deflectiong is better than OPA in practice. In the heat (pun intended) of battle it is way more difficult to manage your weapon heat properly than it is in this testing environment here. And as soon as you do, OPA loses its edge over ID hands down. On top of that, it just feels nicer to me, but that's purely subjective.
I hate this gun.. I never play scout and haven't haven't leveled him up above 5 and the game keeps giving me OCs for this particular gun, I have 4 ocs for it and still no leadstorm oc
Ty good video
Which OC would be best for dealing with Rivel Robots? I'm thinking Thermal Exhaust Feedback cus of the Heat
I think TEF will give you that extra damage. From memory you won't set them on fire, not without help but some TEF shots to head will take em down quick.
OPA also but harder to get the head weakpoint hits
What if Shield Battery Booster restored shield on kills instead of the extra damage for full shields?
Can I ask how does Manual heat dump work ? Is it passice or do you have to activated somehow ? I have it on my gun and it doesnt show anything different.
Press reload and it goes into a quicker version of the overheat animation. Hope that helps 🙂
@@GamingExistence Thank you
that is a good video
TEF is only usable with that crosshair mod.
Yeah I tend to agree. I thought TEF was rubbish until I got it
Is that heat visualizer mod legal to use in standard multiplayer? Not sure how mods are regulated in drg so if anyone could tell me it would be great.
Yeah is fine to use.
Some mods will change the lobby to (modded) you will see this top right with your name. Some mods are sandbox, so you need a separate save file from your normal one.
Heat mod, damage numbers, health and shield numbers are all valid in any game.
Ah i see i see thanks man, keep it up with the vids. Rock and Stone
Mods are sorted into 3 categories
-Verified - Client-side mods only, they usually change stuff like visuals or sounds, you can have them on in multiplayer even in unmodded lobbies since the mod doesnt affect any of the other players
-Approved - approved for progression, you dont need to be on a sandbox save to use them but using them will flag your lobby as modded and they do affect other players, getting some teammates might be harder if youre running a modded lobby
-Sandbox - You need to be on a sandbox save to use these, which means missions done using these mods will not count toward progression on your main save
the heat visualiser is verified so you can use it in any lobby with no problem, it doesnt affect other players
Id say a smaller magazine does it make you save ammo or use more
Thermal exhaust feedback is my favourite Overclock in the game, but I run it as a 1,1,2,1,2.
I love to run opa with the crossbow
Personally I just don't like the weapon very much, it feels like it's meant to have pierce or consistent element to it, but it just doesn't.
I compare it to the Engi stubby, but the Stubby is better.
How do you rate shield battery booster after the rework?

I don't get it
Why would you ever use any OC in the base gun?
Why Rewiring mod can't use T2b - more damage, for example?
you should be runing from it
5:15
Impact def is definitely great and fun, but honestly sucks if scout is playing close to mates, so many accidential friendly hits
When they have higher level than the devs🤔🙄🤣
Shield Battery Booster is a joke of a OC. Definitely D Tier. DRG should fix this
its fixed for a while now. you can have a 1 sec recharge time on shield with this OC and right armor upgrade
