Abdominal aortic aneurysm - Causes , Signs & symptoms , diagnosis , treatment
Focal dilation of the abdominal aorta, most commonly infrarenal in location but with 15% juxtarenal in location. Risk factors for development of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) include smoking, advancing age, previous aneurysm, atherosclerotic disease, or a family history of AAA as well as being of Northern European descent and male.
At the time of diagnosis, most patients are asymptomatic, but those with symptoms typically have abdominal pain, back pain, or evidence of lower extremity ischemia. Physical exam findings may include a pulsatile abdominal mass.

My boyfriend has surgery this last Sunday; he had been vomiting blood, but thankfully they did an ultrasound at the ER. They immediately went into surgery and he’s still in hospital but well.
It did not rupture, thank goodness. It was 6cm.
He’s 29 years old. So recovery is good. :) he can now stand without issue according to doctor.
Never have came across such an amazing teacher like you. Huge respect sir 🙏
So nice of you
this guys is so smart listening to him gave me a aueurysm
hahaha
very good lecture sir,
infact of 17:44 minutes each and every line of the lecture was precious as far as MCQ point of view,
if one has listened to the lecture carefully no need to open book and read and waste time on AAA,it was so very well explained.
sir i have one question,
what should be the minimum cut off diameter mark when surgeon can go for endovascular repair of AAA?
minimum cut off diameter mark when surgeon can go for endovascular repair of AAA is 5.5 cm and its imp mcq for surgery point of view so didnt mentioned here in pathology ...thank you
Amazing way to learn from you dear sir
Keep watching

Thank you , your videos very helpful 💘💘💘💘💘💘💕
Yes, you are right
Great Video i realy enjoyed and absorbed information, but at 6:10 I noticed a small mistake,in the picture sacular aneurysm is refered as fusiform and oposite. Any way great video.
True editing ppl messed it up in image , thank you for ur comment
I was looking to see if anybody had caught that and informed him because it really was an excellent presentation, thorough yet concise and comprehensive. I guess it would have been a hassle for him to edit it again. I imagine most viewers will realize.
This is an amazing lecture. Thank you very much!
Thnq sir
Thank you sir🙏🏻
Most welcome
Thank you!
I would like to add one more point , i.e. critical diameter to preform Surgical intervention in AAA
Male 5.5 cm
Female 5.0 cm ( bcz High risk of rupture )
Nice
After surgery this could be happen again? Or we live good life.?
OMG mine is 6.4
Awesome
Just came to understand this disease because my brother has just passed away from this right now.. He died 35 min after entering at the surgery room. Wish we knew about this before. Now I know what happened to him... What a painful death. 💔
RIP
May I ask how old he was?
I also will die
sir please tell me if it can be cured without surgery ?)
It needs surgery if it extends past 5cm. You need to get it checked by a doctor.
I have one of these but I was on methadone for 45 years and all sorts of prescription p.. HARMa's... Only took a dump twice a month so all that pushing might of caused some big problems, maybe?
I keep getting a throbbing pain in my back, for a number of years now, its triggered by sudden movement, going upstairs, or stress, a very severe pain.
What med should i take?
Sir will there be hypertension initially in patient before rupture ?
Yes

I have noticed, since 2018, an amazing condition. My abdominal part pulsing with heartbeat. Even the head , legs and arms pulsing and sway with heartbeat. When i put my mobile on my abdomen, i can see the movement of the mobile with heartbeat. Does this recall serious issue?
