Abdominal aortic aneurysm - Causes , Signs & symptoms , diagnosis , treatment
Focal dilation of the abdominal aorta, most commonly infrarenal in location but with 15% juxtarenal in location. Risk factors for development of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) include smoking, advancing age, previous aneurysm, atherosclerotic disease, or a family history of AAA as well as being of Northern European descent and male.
At the time of diagnosis, most patients are asymptomatic, but those with symptoms typically have abdominal pain, back pain, or evidence of lower extremity ischemia. Physical exam findings may include a pulsatile abdominal mass.

My boyfriend has surgery this last Sunday; he had been vomiting blood, but thankfully they did an ultrasound at the ER. They immediately went into surgery and he’s still in hospital but well.
It did not rupture, thank goodness. It was 6cm.
He’s 29 years old. So recovery is good. :) he can now stand without issue according to doctor.

    very good lecture sir,
infact of 17:44 minutes each and every line of the lecture was precious as far as MCQ point of view,
if one has listened to the lecture carefully no need to open book and read and waste time on AAA,it was so very well explained.
    sir i have one question,
what should be the minimum cut off diameter mark when surgeon can go for endovascular repair of AAA?

    • @doctorbhanuprakash
      @doctorbhanuprakash  5 лет назад +3

I was looking to see if anybody had caught that and informed him because it really was an excellent presentation, thorough yet concise and comprehensive. I guess it would have been a hassle for him to edit it again. I imagine most viewers will realize.

It needs surgery if it extends past 5cm. You need to get it checked by a doctor.

    Hi Dr. Prakash
I have noticed, since 2018, an amazing condition. My abdominal part pulsing with heartbeat. Even the head , legs and arms pulsing and sway with heartbeat. When i put my mobile on my abdomen, i can see the movement of the mobile with heartbeat. Does this recall serious issue?
I am looking foreard to receiving your response
    Kind regards

My wife is 34 years old, from the last 2 month, she feel a pulse just like a heart beat in her left stomach, sometimes she feel weird on her left body
Is that a normal condition or symptoms of anueral aorta abdominal?
