Shape is movement of a wave in two formats.
Up and down of a plane. Both are same forms.
A wave is not inverted but it has two-half part.
A wave is a disturbance which continues as is.
It is a pattern of movement because it is true.
We cannot control waves and they are or not.

Can we have a "sinusoid" made of half-circles? Does it represent anything?

Thank you, Can you please help me with solving this question:
    sketch the following signal: 2 + 3 sin πt/4

    • @lanceward7048

+2 shifts y up by 2…3 is amplitude, or displacement of max peaks/troughs from x axis…variable t is being multiplied by pi/4, so for every period t=2pi, because pi/4 < 1, less than 1 regular sine period elapses, so the period of y(pi*t/4) is longer than period of y(t) by a factor of 4/pi.
