Raya had to fly back to LA for work so we decided I should keep driving and meet her in Guatemala, Two solid days of driving later I arrived in Antigua!

Just so y’all are aware, you can buy a GPS that only shows you directions that a bus and semi can use.
I was going to say, isn't there a GPS app that shows safe roads for trucks/busses?
We had one in the states but haven’t found one that works in Mexico/Central America. Do you know go one?
I know it must be tedious maneuvering that big school bus on those tiny roads, but I love seeing the vibrant, beautiful villages and townspeople 💙
We did the exact same thing going to that campsite in San Cristobal in our EarthRoamer (some got a $2000 fine), cant believe your bus didn't overheat on the way up there let alone cook your brakes on the way down
This must have filmed a wile ago as the same swiss truck (Simon i think) is still there in Oaxaca camp spot when we were there.

You should spend the $400 and invest in a trucker GPS. It will keep you in places where semis can go.

google maps doesn't offer the option for trucks but you need to find an app with that functionality. It's assuming you're driving a normal vehicle ...

I think you guys should install some rear cameras on the bus for when you need to back up. Also some cameras to watch your blind stop to help with turns too.
The Guatemala border crossing seemed simple. I’m glad everything went safely.
when navigating with google you can choose your vehicle type, u know, wide or tall , truck or boat etc so it guides you though a propper road, not a bicycle lane :DD
Chiapas has beautiful lush lands and waterfalls you need to do a trip there I’m sure you would both love it

Oh my anxiety levels went through the roof on this one, Louis your so brave, but I bet Raya was glad she missed this leg of the journey!! 🚙⛰️🌇🤪🙈 Then for good measure you pull the classic old trick, lets see how far I can go on a tank of fuel, gliding up within metres of the pump on empty!!! Hey I used to watch a lot of travel videos and they all fired up this flame in hey heart for traveling. Then I was finally old enough to travel on my own so I did that for a couple of years. Having seen a lot now and a lot of travel videos as well I have to say ... you are doing it again. Lighting up that flame in my heart and getting me excited for traveling.🙌🙌 You recent Episodes Mexico till Guatemala are really really good. 👌👌

You must be the LUCKIEST person in the world!!! From memory a long time ago you and Raya were in the red Wander VW bus (I'm spelling it wrong) and did the same thing coasting in with just fumes into the gas station somewhere like Montana or Wyoming. There's a documentary called LA camioneta and it shows how they come here and buy the buses and bring them to Guatemala to fix them
Driving that bus seems so damn stressful. I'm not very spatially aware so there's no way I'd be able to do that. LOL

I found your channel after watching your VW bus convrsion to electric (watched that entire series!) now I am loving watchng you and Raya traveling! I must please ask you to consider getting helmets when you drive your motorized bikes and skateboards. My hubby had a brain bleed 10 yrs ago, he lived!!! But he does have a brain injury and it lasts a lifetime. Louis suffers from bad knees, can you imagine a brain injury? Please, please wear some helmets!!

When starting your bus. Turn key. Wait for cycle to stop and then turn key. Don’t just turn the key right away. Yes - I’m a school bus driver;)

Louis, you always almost give me mini heat attacks 😁.I worry about you. You seem like such a sweet soul and this bus driving seems very stressful. You are very impressive with your many skills, esp driving. I've heard from many vloggers that it's not safe to drive at night so I wish you would stop doing that ,LOL... Lately I've been watching a lot of cruise vloggers and thinking maybe you and Reya should look into that.. Boy those people think they have a job reporting on cruises it's nothing to what you guys go through in your travels. Think about it you guys.Its tons of fun and you travel and still vlog but you would need a home base. Sorry you probably don't want to hear my two cents.
