We are out shopping for the perfect tiles. This has not been an easy task so far as you will see in the video. So many difficult decisions to make when it comes to this building project and getting things exactly right.
One step closer to building our dream home.

Dela
Hi family! Please go for elegance by choosing one tile design and color for the entire flooring in the house. This will make the home look rich and never out of style. No Mixing. Love your family.
what do you think about the bed room being different from the hall
Keep the tiles uniform throughout the house and add area rugs for the bedrooms. IMO different colour tiles in different rooms can be an eyesore.
True
YOUR CONSISTENCY LEVEL IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL DELA......YOU ARE ON A ROLL AND I JUST LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS!
Thank you 😊 🙏🏾
I like the same color all over the house except the kitchen n bathrooms
I don’t understand why people use different tiles for a house, in my opinion the only place that should be different is the washrooms
You are right, same tiles throughout the house makes everything flows nicely, l just hate it when you start opening doors and seeing different patterns of tiles throughout the house.
My take: You can use a particular tile for the open areas and another tile type for the closed areas, such as bedrooms and bathrooms. Alternatively, the same tile type can be used for the entire house, i.e., closed and open areas. Obviously, compound tiles are different from the type of tiles used inside the house. Most people use terracotta tiles for the compound.
My take
FYI use one color will look much better.
I have to agree with the other comments that one color tile throughout the house is better. More consistent. I can’t wait to see your house when you guys are finished.
Same colour tiles for all corridor floors including living room should be fine.. People turn to use different ones for bedrooms but hey, go out for what your heart feels...
Nooooooooooooooooo. Please same color tiles in the whole house. Oh.... forgot it was not mine:)
Hey Dela, you kiddos are so well behaved I must say. Love the content 😍
Get what ever makes you happy,it's your home, show your individualism and be creative.
Sweetie you can checkout west Africa decor tiles. I think they'll be more affordable than palace and they sell Spanish and Italian tiles too.
You can also make your life a lot easier by sticking to one tile for all the bedrooms, 1 tile for the living and hallway to give it a more cohesive look. And something different for the kitchen, one that will match pretty well with the black.
I’ll take a look, thank you
A light colour tile to contrast with the black kitchen countertops
If you don’t mind my saying. Just use one color for the flooring in your house and change the wall colors if you want to. It will make it easy decorate accordingly.
Those tiles looks so different in natural light
Ok at this point I trust sis and bro kwame soo much , just choose what you believe in ❤️
Light floors are good ❤️🇬🇭
KWAME IS WAYYYY OFFF LOLOLOLOL....PLEASE DELA YOU PICK PLEASE. KEEP THE FLOORS LIGHT SO THAT THE HOUSE CAN BE ROOMY AND SPACIOUS
😂😂😂
These videos are very helpful! Thank you
You should pick the one you and your kids will like because it is your house 😁🤗 by the way you make the best videos on building 💖💖
Thank you 🙏🏾
The use of 24x24 or 30x30 tiles in large spaces = less tiles and may also = less #money
Keep the floor tiles the same don’t use different ones. You can use things like runners, rugs and like things to decorate the house. Keep it simple
Think of it like a canvas
Notifications gang ❤️❤️❤️
Hey della don’t be discouraged you will find your ideal tiles eventually. But I agree with what the majority have said use one colour for hallway living spaces and bedrooms, then maybe a different colour for kitchen and bathrooms but do what makes you happy and what’s in your budget.
You can also visit Haiflo and Ideal Home Decor for floor tiles. Both are on the Spintex Road. I bought all my tiles for my dream house at Haiflo. They have good wood effect tiles. Good luck.
You guys have a real dilemma, I feel for you truly, if you're having white walls throughout the house kinda suggest to me you want light airer spaces, maybe you should go for light flooring i.e gray tones and choose the wider tiles if going for the "wooden effect " you can always tone down with accessories...best of luck and loving your vids ❤ 👊🏿🇯🇲🇬🇧
Lovely to shop for things like this.
I am with Delah on the grey tiles, I mean light grey tiles.
I am undergoing a project and have the same thoughts as Delah.
Thanks guys
Thank you for another fun video. Your home is going to be beautiful. (It’s so annoying you felt you had to put a disclaimer at the end about your son sitting in the front seat. People are so quick to judge and are keyboard warriors online 🤦🏾♀️😂).
Pleeeeeeeease! use one design and colour all the way through. I made that mistake a few years ago and it is an absolute eyesore! For real! :) :)
Maybe watch some videos on interior decorating. You'll have a better idea of how things will look
Kwame = Me a few years ago! loool
Check Pinterest for inspiration and guidance on floors and wall colour deco. I like the light tiles for the house to open up and lighten up the whole house.
Dela and Kwame I love the way you tease each other 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💖 " your face like potato".
😂😂😂
The grey tiles will look much better with black kitchen
You can chose white to make it easy. And that’s the new style look here in America. The choice of tile is the main key for your project so be careful.
Good point
Please only use one type of tile throughout for consistency. Think about it... if you were doing hardwood floors like we do in the west do you use different hardwood floors? No...you only use one type of hardwood floors. I own a development firm in downtown Chicago building condos and highend single family homes. Anyway can’t wait for the finish.
Completely can relate.
ANY LIGHTER TONE MAKES A HALLWAY OR ANY ROOM LOOK LARGER AND BRIGHTER.
WHY NOT GET A LONG 'SLIP-N-SLIDE' FOR THE HALLWAYS. THEN, YOU'LL BE SLIDING SO FAST, THE COLORS WON'T MATTER??? (SHOULD I STOP DRINKING NOW?)
They are **wood looking tiles** not #wood tiles
😁😁
Come on buy the best one money is no problem for you! You will be very happy in the long run.
Lol I wish money was no problem 😂
Gray one is really nice and for me
Your hubby is a design expert!!! Lol
I loved the grey 85.00 cedi one, It would match my kitchen.
Its the same as the first one, the first one had only one on display, where as this one had the full panel to actually appreciate the look. I have the same colour with light grey sofas and a white walls with white grey marble dinning table set, its lovely and bright making my living room bigger than how it used to be.
Go to Accra Arena near Kantamanto there are many tile shops with better designs and colors
👌👌👌
Gray to all and we some nice rugs will do
Kwame the interior designer, I am having a hard time picking up tiles, 6 months and I still dont know what I want, partly because I am not there
The options of wood look tiles are a bit limited
Heavily trafficked area should have the most #durable tiles that are not #slippery
Grey for the kitchen 😊
Amazing
Those are some #large glasses 👓
🤓😁😂
I love them lol 🤓
Dela, why don’t people use terrazzo anymore? I remember it being used a lot in Ghana.
@Sweet Bad What is terrazzo? I remember my mum and dad having endless conversations about using it in their house in the 90s when they were building
Personally I don’t like terrazzo, but I’ve never seen it done exceptionally well.
on this tile selection better leave it the boss oo Kwame.
😂
My gosh I'm stressed for you!
Listen, it’s wasn’t easy lol
Go to makola for tiles
#Suggestion
Go online for #design ideas
Dela o please where is this store at in Accra?
On spintex road
Go with grey and not brown colors
check pinterest for inspiration
Will do
It appears an amateur laid the floors not a professional like you and Kwame when you have multi-color tile. Of course, it is my opinion. I really have enjoyed watching your videos. I was able to transform my 50 year old house into a modern day dream home by getting inspiration from hgtv.
Here is their link hgtv.com/design/topics/flooring/.
👌🏽
Pls where can I find this shop in Ghana
East legon
Palace decor
Why so difficult to find colourful tiles in Gh.
It’s not difficult. There are so many tile shops
@@larrysq4851 Where can I find some colour tiles n proper swimming pool tiles ?
@@underconstruction5532 did you check around Arena?
They are tiles Dela , not hard wood floors 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have no idea what you are talking about 😂
