Best Cadence video yet. It had everything that I think of as english angling, gorgeous setting beautiful woodland birds, oh it was all there. Great to see useful devices on the bank to deposit all non Cadence rod, reels, nets ect. Faultless fishing producing a photo finish. And no Cadence video would be complete without Chappies film work, and of course the adorable Monty. I am however a bit gutted that the big one has been postponed. I live in Farnborough, and the big one is the highlight of my year. Nice one James, Paul, and Ian.
Debatable 'best' but we'll take your view for sure. I often look back to some of the videos and generally wonder "how did I make that?" A kind of creative zone comes over me I think and it all just flows together. Takes a lot of effort recording two anglers and then balancing each a share of the edit.👍
@@grahamnash9794 I've been less than 100% health wise recently, so maybe I am seeing more slight errors. I always seek perfection, but I know full well it's an impossible goal. Glad you enjoy them👍
Excellent video yet again lads. The fishing was great but its the camaraderie between both of you is what makes these videos so watchable. Tight lines.
Another great video from the Cadence Team. Chappy is great at getting those wildlife shots in as Fishing isn’t just about catching it’s about enjoying being outside and seeing all sorts of stuff such as kingfishers, robins etc. And not forgetting the superstar Monty! Tight Lines Steve Amison 👍🦆🎣🐶👍
Very happy bunny! On the Sunday following this video I managed to bag 26lb-10oz mimicking these very same tactics, this got me second on my lake (beaten by 6oz)🙈😆 this in turn sent me up the league table to finish 4th overall and in the main prize list making sure that there’s a good supply of pound coins for our next head to head, so it goes to show there’s a place for the waggler on commercials😎
Great video I have been watching them all again still get me hooked as though it was the first time. One thing I’ll never understand is the thumbs down madness so well put together
Great video, great camera work and the music matches the video so well...just so relaxing. Paul and James both good anglers and both nice chilled out calm personalities which matches the sport and this video as a whole so nicely. I've decided too after watching this, that if i get to fish next winter (and for the silvers) i'll try 0.08 hook lengths and probably a size 20 hook. I've always favoured the pole over the waggler but for me i think the waggler stands probably a better chance when if fishing on the pole you're forced to fish at 10 or more meters mainly due to the time it takes to ship out at that length versus casting with the rod and line. My pole is 11m and i dont like to fish it at that length but sometimes you just have to depending on the size of the pool you're fishing, features and time of year. I never thought the waggler could beat the pole but sounds like Paul has been showing what the waggler can do in matches, and this match was so close, literally just one fish in it...the one that Paul lost when the hook pulled! lol. I have found though especially on the smaller pools that are 2 acres or less in size that you can still easily catch a nice load of silvers (with a few Carp) when fishing around just 5-6 meters in winter which is nice and comfortable. Anyway i love your videos, shame that fishing has been put on ice at the moment due to this virus...stay safe anyway, take care.
Hi James, Paul, and all at Cadence, not forgetting Ian behind the camera(s). Started this morning feeling very ill but after watching this superb video I feel a bit better. It was nice to see two contrasting methods to show those that don’t own a long pole how you can catch on a simple waggler approach, but I bet Paul is regretting swinging in that Ide that fell off! James showed what a superb angler he is, as like me he is a natural venue angler, but his quality shone through! Ian’s camera work was superb, as always he makes me jealous! So nice to have seen you all at the show and I hope we can catch up soon. I want to get my hands on that whip!! Looks a great buy at the price! Kindest regards Bill
Cadence Fishing UK Hi Ian I managed to play with the whip at the show and the team had to wrest it from me as I wanted to take it out on test! They would have let me but is was the only one in the country! I also managed to play with the new carp pole which looks like it could be a winner. I know you were not at the show but I hope you will be at the re organised show later in the year as it would be nice to thank you for your efforts behind the camera. Kindest regards Bill
great vid... some nice very subtle tips in there... the lil waggler they used to call them 'canal darts'.... id be inclined to use a smaller landing net almost like the ones they use in aquarium tanks..and maybee an ol soft blanket of some type for the dog to rest on an keep hips warm..it will suffer in later years otherwise..... nice one
Thanks for your reply. I do not know what kind of dye English maggot breeders use nowaday, but at the time in the Netherlands it was "Sudan red", the dye also used for colouring diesel oil. Sudan Red was proven to be carcinogenic, hence the ban on the stuff eventually. I know that maggot breeders tried to use other (food) colourings, but they proved not to work properly on living tissue. In fact, nowadays all colouring of maggots is prohibited over here, including bronze dyes. Kind regards and tight lines from Roermond-The Netherlands.
I know I’m a bit late with this, but a great winter additive for your maggots, that may work for you is, a liberal covering of Turmeric powder. Used mainly as a rice colouring in Indian cooking. We use it lots in winter instead of maze dust. A word of warning though it gets everywhere and DON’T rub your eyes😱🥲🥲😅
For once I’d like to see them show the musicians who sit behind them playing the music while they’re tackling up. Especially the one that does the humming, he’s my favourite
Pity British anglers are still using colourd maggots/pinkies. I remember from the time these were still allowed in The Netherlands, that havily fished match venues,, had perch, eel and even roach that were completely red, because of constantly being fed red maggots. Fortunately, that is the past now, not only in The Netherlands, but also in Belgium and Germany. When will British Angler Association come to their senses?
Teunis, 🤔interesting comment! There's been no evidence highlighted here to suggest the fish are turning red inside. Am not saying you are wrong necessarily, but the UK fish get fed a lot of red maggots with seemingly no bad consequences. It is not an issue, it seems anyway. Thanks for pointing it out though. Hard to draw a conclusion to be honest mate, but maybe the dye is different here ? Food dyes, safe, tested ones which are added at source when the maggot is eating meat, not to the skin as in the past with carcinogenic rhodomine dye. Anyone get any expert knowledge to add?
