No egyptian god cards
Yeah, that baffled me too. Why do the Sacred Beasts, Earthbound Immortals, and Norse Gods get summoning animations, yet the Egyptian Gods don't?
Edit: I just checked out another video on this game and found out that the Egyptian Gods DO have summoning animations, they just weren't showcased in this video.
I like the fact that the monsters have an specific music depending on what anime series they appeared. The monsters who were not featured in any anime series up to this point have also their distinctive theme. There are few exceptions regarding this, though. The music that plays when Thought Ruler Archfiend for example, who was showcased in the 5D´s anime series, is the music that belongs to the monsters that did not appeared in the anime.
I also like that the theme for DM era monsters is from Nightmare Troubadour
Madlad I was actually thinking on doing this
But seeing someone else touch this game means it could be gathering more people again 👀
Also using the puzzle mode was genius props to you
Over the Nexus (the majority of DS Yugioh games) are fantastic and I return to them almost every year. They are childhood and the most ambitious games the series brought forth imo. Even if 5Ds eventually shrinked down the sprites and cut them entirely in Over the Nexus, it kept on improving... I just wish they continued this with Duel Carnival but oh well..
VRAINS' setting would make for an amazing game imo.
@@bladerdj3503 hell yeah it would :')
As cool as this video is, these are NOT all summoning animations in the game. You're missing the 3 Egyptian gods (Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor & The Winged Dragon of Ra).
Unfortunately, those 3 are near-impossible to get now, as they were given away during online events or obtained using online PvP points - and game's online servers were shut down a long time ago. The only way to get them nowdays (without hacking an emulator save or something) is to get VERY lucky with card trades with Helio (which you only have a *chance* of getting after any story-mode duel or race), who gives you 1 random card from the game's card pool in exchange for 1 of your cards (so you basically have 1 in 4,230 chance to get a specific card with each trade).
I know that this comment is old but has anyone actually gotten the god cards from heilo? Because I'm trying to get 95 or 100% on all cards in over the nexus. Basically have you or anyone else got them or not? Just curious.
@@crystalbry4741 I have. I actually have all of the online-only cards in WC 2011 thanks to Helio's trades ('cause I got the game after its servers were shut down). It took me 5 years to do so, but I pulled it off. >.>
Online-only cards include: 3 God cards, alternate-artwork versions of Ra & Obelisk, Shiba-Warrior Taro and alt-art versions of few "iconic" cards (iirc: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Summoned Skull and Dark Magician).
Apart from those, there are some Speed Spell cards you can't get from booster packs and have to farm in races instead.
Also, iirc the online-only cards don't count toward 100% card completion (in WC 2011, at least) - you just need to get all cards from all of the packs and the race-only Speed Spell cards.
And I'd also like to point out that you can't get online-only cards from trades with Helio in WC 2009 nor WC 2010 - only in WC 2011. I tested it.
@@nijunikuro ok thx and actually i got the alternative artwork for dark magician and blue eyes white dragon from the star chip trader in game unless you're talking about another alternative art? And 5 years? Jesus! That'll take me forever.... also i know that once you get 95 or 100% of the cards, it unlocks the recipe duel and the random card pack. Which i wanna unlock but you have to duel so many npcs lol.
@@crystalbry4741 Oh, the online-only alt-art cards are different from the ones you get with Star Chips. Iirc, there's 3 different Blue-Eyes and 4 different Dark M. artwork variants.
@@crystalbry4741 Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician and Red-Eyes have 3 or 4 different artwork versions - the only-only ones are different from the ones you get with Star Chips. Personally, I didn't find the dueling to unlock stuff to be tedious in WC 2010 & WC 2011 - for the most part. Maybe that's 'cause I still remember having to duel people 5-20 times to unlock anything in older games and those 2 only required you to beat anyone 3 times. >.> Different opponent decks tend to help break the monotony - and I tend to switch decks every now and then to keep things interesting.
4:37 nice to see they referenced one of the hero mechs from the gaogaigar series
This madlad actually did it, congrats
Also there's something about the Original Series summoning music that makes me shudder
Edit: Think you could fit in the Venominaga, Final Destiny, and Final Countdown win animations?
Absolutely! Made me shudder a bit too. The og yugioh cards era, (dark magician, blue eyes, etc) are a little less pronounced versions of the Nintendo Ds game, "Nightmare Troubadour". Check those out if you like these sounds.
The gx cards (Master of Oz, etc...) here seem to be on point 🤔 can't notice any differences in sound quality. I think those are straight from the game, "Spirit Caller."
Why Nightmare Troubadour's cards were edited I've no idea. I prefer the og sounds a bit more. Loved 2011's Over the Nexus to death though.
"all summon animations"
@@homerogordo5548exodia isn't a monster summon animation either and it was in at the end

Los mejores gráficos en esa epoca 2011 👏🏽😎 que nostalgia
Kinda wish they gave you something like this for Thunder Warrior. It's arguably your ace monster at the start and was one of Manga!Yusei's big monsters too.
But no, Nitro Warrior needs a summon animation.
Would have been nice if both Yusei's Lightning Warrior AND Jack's Dark Highlander got sunmoning animations, but what can ya do?
Mí Favorita es la animación del Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
You forgot 3 gods, final countdown, destiny board conpleted and more
I noticed those, however, i did not really count Alternate Win conditions outside of Exodia but what else did i miss? I went through every monster in the game for this.
@@a-common-fire-peashooter7167 Arkana's red Dark Magician has a different summon animation and model than the original
@@Miss-Alexis interesting. In the Custom Duel Puzzle maker menu i can select Alternate Art monsters for the "structure" of the puzzle but whenever i playtest the Puzzle they change to the regular artwork the game uses.
@@a-common-fire-peashooter7167 Yeah, I've tried that too. You may need to do it in a regular duel, though by playing against a deck that can't do anything in a recipe duel, you should be able to set up the summon pretty effortlessly
I'm surprised the protag isn't John Konami the red-capped duelist
You get his outfit for 100% tho
5:16 one of the first npcs I found and dueled had this card! Why do the first few duelists I can find in story mode have very powerful decks?!
It's intended to finish the story first and then duel the NPCs
@@MarioMVasilevBackUp whose idea was that?
@@DrenixWarriorKnightWhat he says isn't necessarily true; you can farm the Card Pick-Up game for each NPC as long as you keep winning duels against them.
Doesn't matter if it's Story Mode or World Championship. The only exceptions are the Ghost matches against The Enforcers(or Team Satisfaction), Team New World, and Team 5D's.
Since those are marathon duels, no card pick-ups aside from the one card they give you when you beat them.
Dark magician girl is so stiff in her animation. Why was it designed like that
Nightmare troubadour was the first yugioh game on ds so a lot of the models from that time didnt look too good.
They need to bring back world championship games
I ended 2011 today, so there arent games like this After 2011?😢
@@Gabry03_The closest 2012 gets is a YuGiOh Zexal game that didn't even get a physical release in the US. And all the guesswork of farming for cards was taken out of World Duel Carnival, so you could literally make a broken deck from the start.
@@CRASHjester thano you for the information🗿🔝
@@CRASHjester At least you get to play full-power Dragon Rulers complete with the babies... so... yay?
Light and Dark End dragon aren’t in this. Which is kinda funny cause Dark End is a story reward
depuis le temps que je cherchais la liste merci beaucoup
Some of these look like the animation broke or they didn’t have enough movement so they just stop.
But Toon Blu Eyes just A poses
Lots of the DM ones are reused from Nightmare Troubadour, the first Yugioh game for DS.
I assume they were very experimental with the animation back then, almost not showing off the "Personality" of the monsters like the 5DS ones do (Odin, Father of the Aesir's animation comes to mind, my favorite animation from 2011 btw)
@@a-common-fire-peashooter7167 if I may ask.
How did you set up the field like that?
Is there some sort of “custom duel puzzle” mode that I am unaware off? Or was that modded?
I really hope it’s the ladder, because this is one of the games that could benefit from an active modding/rom hacking community
@@frankwest5388 its the only YGO DS game that has an in-built "Make your own Duel Puzzle" feature. Thats how easy it was to set everything up, otherwise i would need to build several decks to find out which monsters have animatioms or not.
Creating cards in the Main Monster Zones with the custom mode always gives me monsters so its easy for me to go through the setlists. I havent tried stuff like Trap cards that are Monsters or Token spawners though.
Its the nintendo ds what do you expect
Hold it! Avatar's effect states it's always +100 to the strongest monster (besides itself), it should be 100% immune to dreadroot's effect
Can't help but noticed they remixed the old songs.
missed a few. ally of justice catastor comes to mind.
what is the logic behind the music on the summons?
Iconic/ace monsters from the anime (and some from the manga) share one for their respective series (except thought ruler archfiend, red eyes darkness dragon and vampire genesis for some reason), the earthbounds and sacred beasts have unique ones because they are in-universe evil gods, and the ones that aren’t either share one generic one
I think it's like ace monsters from previous series have music from Nightmare Troubadour, Spirit Caller, Stardust Accelerator, or Reverse of Arcadia, while monsters that weren't tied to any of the anime (but were important in previous WC games?) have World Championship music.
Gen 1 (Original Yu-Gi-Oh! era) gets one track (with animation changes for Toon monsters and animation and music changes for the Wicked monsters), Gen 2 (GX Era) gets another (with exceptions for the Sacred beasts in terms of music and animations), Gen 3 (5Ds Era) is the same (with exceptions for Meklords/Machine Emperors and Earthbound Immortals/Gods), and everything else (Duel Terminal cards or prominent cards among certain archetypes, generally) gets yet another track to use.
freaking Toon BEWD just t poses like a mad lad
of all monsters to get a summon animation... a level 4 harpy has it as opposed to sisters/pet dragon
The Lobster Creator looks sick back then
Was the toon dragon T posing or I am seeing things
MAN the fuckin' EI theme was awesome
I wish they make another one for this serie, this and tag force...
The fact that there was no animation for Flying Fortress Sky fire is upsetting
I play that game I am stuck I keep crashing I don’t know what to do
Show the Egyptian gods!!!
where are the god cards animation
No Obelisk ?
Very cool 😎
I almost remember quasar being in the game

They copy spirit caller summons but dont let the monsters stay on the board
It's cheaper and faster to reuse 3d models for games like these. Especially those that use to come out every year like world championship
