Hey man I’d like to talk to you about some things if that’s alright, your really encouraging me I’m only 18 and have been on Suboxone for little over month now
So happy to have found your channel… opioid dependent for 10 years and im clean, using subs, now for 3yrs 6 months… im not quite ready to break something that’s not broken but im definitely watching your videos and downloading them for when im ready to come off… hope you are well! Xoxo
@@modom11 good way to put it. It took me 8 years on subs to start thinking like a rational person I’d say. Maybe it was bc I started at 23 and needed to mature some as well 😜
Bro where are these days going? They are flying by! Congrats on day 6! 💯 agree with doing things that make us happy. Yesterday I decided to take a trip to see the Daisy Fresh jiu jitsu team in Mt Vernon, IL. So I booked a ticket and I’m headed there now! Regarding the bm, I had diarrhea a couple times and then it stopped. It’s really not as bad as other opiates. I’m not a doctor, but maybe your system needed a cleaning out lol and maybe not even due to subs. Dude cool bike!! God is so good brother He is taking you through this and is delighting in your attitude.
Days are flying to quick, can we slow them down a little now?? I meant to tell you I am considering a MMA gym and you got me thinking about it when you said you do jiu jitsu. When did you start that and whats the biggest benefit you get from it? I'm really interested.
@@grapefruitsandwich7398 jiu jitsu changed my life bro. Plain truth. I’m transitioning to a more MMA style of fitness rather than pure bjj. At 47 my body can only take this sport in doses, but it’s super fun. I used to be afraid of the world man until I did martial arts. Something about the primal ability to defend yourself that makes me comfortable in all kinds of situations now. That wasn’t always the case. Do it brother, and go in with the attitude that you’re there to learn, have fun and get some amazing fitness in. When you grapple the gym will seem boring and not needed. Grappling is the best exercise bc you use every part of your body head to toes. I can’t say enough about it. If you want some inspiration check out the Daisy Fresh BJJ team YT channel. That’s where I am right now and dude I wish I was 20 years younger cause I’d come here and train. You will love doing this man just go visit a school and watch for a class the instructors are used to that. I could talk forever about the subject I’m a fan. 😎 🤙🏻
@@rupturedspeaker3684Sounds more like passion bro! That's me with music, instruments, and auido engineering/producing. Definitely helps the recovery process.
Dude great job!I'm on Subs have been for like 10 years lol .Im still on 16mg a day.But sometimes I overdo it and run out and go a day with none and I just get watery eyes, sneezing, restless legs, yawning, and irritable. But I'm still going through the process of eventually weening down then off so it's good to see how it works.Keep up the good work man!
Good stuff! I can relate to being on it for many years. After 8 I just felt like I was ready to try something different. There is hope if you ever decide to get off. I am not brave. I only am following others I watched before me who were successful. Glad to hear you are looking to ween down. I sat at 1mg for two years and got the same effect as I did at 12mg. Everyone is different but friends had similar experiences at 2mg per day. See what works for you as you go, either way, I believe in you and know you got this!
@@grapefruitsandwich7398 Thanks alot man.Its a double edged sword for me.Subs saved my life and I still have a functioning life while on them. They give me that energy I need to get through the day.But at the same time it would be nice to not have to rely on a substance to get me through the day lol.Ya I'll eventually ween down and see how it goes but good job on ur withdrawal journey.U have a positive mind frame which always helps.
@@grapefruitsandwich7398 And one thing that I find to help when withdrawaling is music. But u seem to be just about through the withdrawals already so that's awesome.
Yessir, a double edged sword indeed. That shit saved my life. I was one shot away from being in the hospital DOA. I had been to the ER once before for my heroin use and after three 28 day treatment stays in 12 months time, I was finally ready to try something different. Of course being on probation helped motivate me as well. So I get that double edged sword. And I'm so glad you mentioned music as well. I haven't talked about that yet but I have noticed that helps a ton and I'm listening to a lot more now as well. It's not about the immediate withdrawals for music, it's the long term having a happy daily mentality. Love it, thank you and I appreciate you finding something out of my story!
Awww shit! YAMI GANG!!! I ride every day bro. I was doing second gear wheelies all day today in the canyon from 65-115 mph I’m up in the air flying high… 🤟🤟🤟 ride safe man and enjoy the weather. I love my bike it’s like a child haha.
Long Island? Love the videos bro, giving solid updates on what to expect while ALSO giving positivity and hope to us who are about to embark on the same journey. Almost 4.5 years on subs. Started tapering from 12mg a day to where I am at now, 5mg a day. The mental aspect of tapering is absolute hell for me and my anxiety. Any tips on the actual tapering process below 5-4mg? Thanks man, stay well!
Hey man thanks for the support! Not quite Long Island, I live in the suburbs right outside DC on the Maryland side. As for the mental aspect of tapering down to those levels, I just went down a single step (or milligram) at a time and took about 1-2 months in between for my body and mind to catch up and realize nothing changed. I felt the same way once I stabilized on 1 milligram as I did when I was stabilized on 12 milligrams. That’s just me though. I made sure I had a good support system though because if I didn’t have that, I would not have been ready and would have been twisted up mentally over all this. Can’t stress that enough. You need support as this is not easy, but luckily, it’s simple.
Haha I’m from Long Island. Neighborhood looked similar…. But simple For sure . I have my taper printed out and I’m trying to follow it but the mental aspect of the size of a 1mg/2mg piece is fucking with me lol
