This was hilarious! I personally am a mixture of the one that yeets it into the bucket like they’re playing basketball and the one that tries to fit as many piles on one load as possible! 😂😂
When I was in my early twenties, I worked at a horse ranch/breeding/equestrian center in California. I was part of the team that cared for the paddocks and barns at the front of the ranch, a.k.a. the part that visitors and neighbors were most likely to see. Needless to say, it needed to look as close to immaculate as reasonable. From mid-spring to mid-fall, the sun baked everything. Mid-summer heat waves could reach a high of 110+ F. So we would begin the most laborious barn chores at sunrise to beat the heat. We used a sweeping method to get everything. Typically, someone would manage the wheelbarrow while others scooped, so we rarely had to carry it very far. We always worked together as a team, so we got through the morning mucking pretty quickly. Throughout the rest of the day, we would "spot clean": dash out to remove the poop as soon as it was spotted and then retreat to the shade. Honestly, the owners (a married couple and their young adult daughter) were genuine horse people who understood "poop happens" but we took pride in keeping our part of the ranch beautiful. A few times a week, the owners would grab a rake and help out, and they got up just as early and worked just as hard as we did! They made it clear through their actions that they hired us to assist them, and not to do everything for them. And honestly, it would have been impossible for just three people to care for 45 horses and keep the ranch looking so beautiful, plus all the feeding, watering, grooming, training, exercising, etc. They always provided unlimited water and Gatorade in ice coolers, too. It was hard work but it was also fun.
Love it I personally like banking the best it’s basically making a pile against the wall and the poop falls down the pile and I like it because it’s a good way to relieve stress
I'ma scoop as muck piles as I can and dump and replace shavings as needed. This is my fav because when horses are brougt inside the barn. I know their standing on a cushy floor!
"Get a gelding, it'll save you hours" Me, side-eyeing my gelding who regularly pees so much it floods his stall, and first night in a new barn trashed his stall so bad we had to totally strip it the next day 😅😅😅😅 He's. He's so special (And no there isn't anything wrong with him, he's just dramatic and pees like a champion 😂😂😂😂)
At the barn I volunteer ay we hardly have to muck because the horses are in their stalls for less then 1 hour a day(grooming and feeding) and we drag pastures(which is one of my favorite barm chores)
after 11 years of mucking out multiple stalls for every single day, my arms are ripped😂😭 people look at me as if i am a freak, like they're not used to seeing a girl with muscles
When I was in middle school I had a friend who owned a horse named Zora I loved getting to go over after school or on weekends because I would help muck and clean the stall. Her and I would see who could stack the most on the rake. Between her and I we would knock her chores out and then I'd get to watch her ride and practice on Zora. Funny how horse poop brings back fond memories.
I am 100% the person who fits as much as possible in the rake 🤣 I hate taking a single extra trip to the wheelbarrow. I am also the ghost person who supplies the full care board… the work doesn’t just magically disappear! I don’t want to have to be out there any longer than I have to LOL
I rent a field for my 2 girls. I'm the only one on the farm that cleans their field. I have my field set up for rotational grazing. The front part is where the round pen, the run in and my chickens are. They always have access to that. The rest of the field is divided into thirds. I have my own mower and spreader. Once a week, I clean the areas they're in. I have a smaller muck bucket. I park the spreader in one section, then fill and dump the bucket until the area is clean. I could probably yeet it, but then I'd have to clean up what misses the bucket. No thanks. Depending on the time of year, I'll then mow, spread the manure, then go over it a few times to break it down more. My spreader doesn't really work that well in the winter. So, I'll clean daily and fill in low spots in the field.
Same! I kinda just pick it up, and put in in the wheelbarrow, not much to my strategy.😂 I can say I do find myself sometimes thinking muck smells nice ish? That probably is very strange and gross. Haha
In the paddocks i just use my ride on mower, but with my yards/stables I just chuck it in my quad trailer. If my quad isn’t working I use my wheel barrow.
I don't muck my pasture (unless you call collecting fertilizer occasionally mucking) we just take a little homemade spreader through the pasture to well spread the fertilizer, it helps the grass grow. Also, we have pretty good bit pasture and three horses, it would take half the day to muck.
At the stables I go to the field shelter is the arena, so we usually just go around in an oval shape. We also have to put up the hay mats and close the gate too though :/
This was so funny! I’m lazy lol! I have a side by side with a bed so I drive it to each pile pick them up and when the side by side bed is full I dump it
In fact geldings are just as messy as mares. Only stallions sniff the poop and turn around to put their mark on the pile. Geldings and mares just sniff, but do not turn around. Maybe if a gelding was castrated at an older age he will keep the habit. But I have a Friesian stallion who poops all over the place, and I had mares who were very clean.
I usually only muck stalls so I’m the one that try’s to fit as many poops in the rake as possible cause usually I have to do 2 barns (there are 3 barns that we keep horses in but one doesn’t get used much)
"plus who likes mares anyway"
Gypsy Equestrian owns all mares
😅
I sweep every single poop in a big pile or two and then put the wheel barrel next to them and scoop the up piles 😊
The broken rake....yes, that's me🤣😭
This was hilarious! I personally am a mixture of the one that yeets it into the bucket like they’re playing basketball and the one that tries to fit as many piles on one load as possible! 😂😂
Same!
Sameee
What about both at once
The eye swing at last 🥰
“Who likes mares anyway?”
Her having all mare

That sounds like awesome people to work for and with!
You make mucking out sound like the funnest team building thing ever haha! I love it.
I generally do the sweep, and push the extras in with my muck boot
Honestly it's almost like a competition with me and my friends on who can do it quickest
I always muck with someone so I can talk my head off while I muck😂
i'm def the person who try's to put as many poop piles on the rake as possible😂
I am a mix of the person who likes to yeet it into the bucket and i also like to FASTLY scoop it up and do it ONE pile at a time.
I think I worked out which character likes to play in the muck heap in winter to get warm.
Lol….the ending!
When your gelding doesn't have a stud pile 🥲
Mine has three 😭
THESE ARE SO SO SO TRUE!
Love it I personally like banking the best it’s basically making a pile against the wall and the poop falls down the pile and I like it because it’s a good way to relieve stress
I’m definitely the one who doesn’t care what method you use just as long as it gets done lol
I'ma scoop as muck piles as I can and dump and replace shavings as needed. This is my fav because when horses are brougt inside the barn. I know their standing on a cushy floor!
"Horse poop smells good..." Girl I am with you!!
“Horse poop kinda smells good” made me die in too Tears Laughing xdd😂😂
I usually do rows and get as much as I can and throw it in the bucket
"Get a gelding, it'll save you hours"
Me, side-eyeing my gelding who regularly pees so much it floods his stall, and first night in a new barn trashed his stall so bad we had to totally strip it the next day 😅😅😅😅

Marina: Yeah geldings save a BUNCH of time!
Also Marina: *has all mares*
With having a gelding you'll find soon that you'll have a ✨Sheath✨ to ClEaN
My mare does it all in clumps which makes it a ton easier!!
Picking up poop is one of my favorite therapies. It also saves me money cause I don't have to buy a gym membership. Terrific video- keep them coming.
after 11 years of mucking out multiple stalls for every single day, my arms are ripped😂😭 people look at me as if i am a freak, like they're not used to seeing a girl with muscles
thankfully my gelding poops in a line on one side of his pasture, so i just scoop it up in a line. love your vids!!
I’m the one that when mucking the arena starts cantering on the ground with a rake full of poop and jumps over the tiny jump on the ground 💀
I was taught to scoop it up and shake out any shaving from inside the stall!
My horse lives at a barn where stablehands muck, feed, turn out horses and you don’t have to do that!
I rake a few piles into one big pile, then just scoop it all up. I also make sure every piece of poop is gone, too.
Honestly it does be like that. Like when I go outside (I live next to a stable) I'm like, "aaa the nice smell of horse poop."
best channel ever
This is so funny. I don’t muck my pastures, but I do muck stalls and run in sheds and occasionally, the water trough. 🤢🤮
I just started mucking my feilds
Lol this was so funny!

“Get rid of your mare and get a gelding it’s called stud piles”
Me with pretty much all mares: 😐 welp bye girls
I am 100% the person who fits as much as possible in the rake 🤣 I hate taking a single extra trip to the wheelbarrow.
I am also the ghost person who supplies the full care board… the work doesn’t just magically disappear! I don’t want to have to be out there any longer than I have to LOL
Thanks for the video!
So you get a gelding for stud piles huh? And then you find ✨sHeAtH cLeAniNg✨
4:21 Good God Amighty! I wish I could do that...evah morning!
I am the one who just throws it in the wheelbarrow😂😂😂!!,
Your videos are so funny.
I rent a field for my 2 girls. I'm the only one on the farm that cleans their field.

This was awesome
Actually the fastest way is to catch it before it hits the ground. That's when you know you are a pooper scooper pro/shaker and a mover.
56 acres and dung beetles
🐎🐎🐎
Fr I love the smell of horse sweat and poop
Same! I kinda just pick it up, and put in in the wheelbarrow, not much to my strategy.😂 I can say I do find myself sometimes thinking muck smells nice ish? That probably is very strange and gross. Haha
Same
it smells ngl
You have to add the ppl who have a literal leaf rake to sweep it into a pile and then scoop it
Dang it! I missed that one!
@@GypsyEquestrian omg hi!
My technique is picking up the poop and I love your videos I have to horses and I can relate to some of your videos.
I was watching this while eating chocolate pudding 😭
I’m definitely the girl in the pink definitely
To whoever’s seeing this god loves u and have a good day ❤️❤️
I’m getting a bay, gelding, q horse in 2 weeks. Can’t wait to start riding again!
I agree horse poop smells AMAZING!!!!!!! 😂😂😂
You should have caught Zinny's poop with the rake 🤣🤣🤣
I love your vids
😂😂😂😂😂 Our two girls poop in one section of the mustang pen. It makes it faster to muck for sure. Awesome video!!
love ur vids
Omg this was so funny! I also hope youre okay after the poison ivy.
This was great!
I am the "as much as possible on one load" and "better than gym" kind of xD
I prefer to use a pitchfork and wheelbarrow. 😂😂😂
In the paddocks i just use my ride on mower, but with my yards/stables I just chuck it in my quad trailer. If my quad isn’t working I use my wheel barrow.
My method is if I’m mucking a stall I leave the wheelbarrow at the entrance and then for a larger area bring the wheelbarrow with me lol
At my barn we usually just muck the stalls so I go from corner to corner and then I do the middle.
I don't muck my pasture (unless you call collecting fertilizer occasionally mucking) we just take a little homemade spreader through the pasture to well spread the fertilizer, it helps the grass grow. Also, we have pretty good bit pasture and three horses, it would take half the day to muck.
This is such a funny video. Yea same i dont really have a method but my horse always poops in the same corner so it makes it alot easier.
No but seriously, the poop smells good.
I help my friends and they help me and talking with my friends makes it go faster idk
My method for mucking out is probably putting all of the poop in one big pile and then scooping it up
I'm the one trying to get as many piles as possible on the rake 😂 love your content❤
Same lol
I do it as well when I don't feel like bringing the wheelbarrow to the bottom of the hill I will try to fit all of the piles on to the muck rake
Love your videos
spreading it around in a big pasture does work too tho
This is hilarious 😂i don't have a single method I use a mix of all of them hahaha 🤣
At the stables I go to the field shelter is the arena, so we usually just go around in an oval shape. We also have to put up the hay mats and close the gate too though :/
I love these videos please keep making them lol!
i do the OTHER sport of seeing how full i can make the wheelbarrow until i absolutely have to take it to the muck pile
Can you do a video of "equestrians doing other sports" please. I love your videos!
Good idea!
i haven’t even watched the whole video and this is a masterpiece 👏
Omg u are so funny
My horse only poops in one corner of his stall!😂
You are such a hoot! Loving these videos. I have no method either, just do what needs to be done 😁
I’m the one who I tries to catch it while its coming out then yeets into the bucket
This was so funny! I’m lazy lol! I have a side by side with a bed so I drive it to each pile pick them up and when the side by side bed is full I dump it
I only muck stalls because my pasture is so big and there’s no shade trees so it’s all grass.
I just go to the first pile I see, pick it up, and repeat.
I usually only muck stalls so I’m the one that try’s to fit as many poops in the rake as possible cause usually I have to do 2 barns (there are 3 barns that we keep horses in but one doesn’t get used much)
3rd one is me
I personally just start at the back of the field and work my way back up
Heyy!💗💗
I start in the back and work towards the front
i dont have a method, i go out into our one acre pasture and pick it up and then chuck it so the flies dont lay their egfgs in it.
I don't use a certain method all that matters is I pick it all up but I do hate when the poop is stuck in the grass it's very annoying lol
No literally I’m pretty sure I got heat stroke when I was mucking the pastures
Love it! 🤣 I don't have a real method, just scoop as much as I can as fast as possible. Lol
I use a rake to make piles then pick it up with a pitch fork and put in a wheelbarrow
