Thanks for the review! This figure is amazing. I just got mine in the mail last week and I love it. To answer your question regarding the Indiana Jone artifacts, the Ark of the Covenant from Raiders and the Holy Lance shown in Dial of Destiny are the only "real" historical artifacts. All the other ones were created for the movie - like the Fertility Idol, Sankara stones, Grail Cup, etc. Some of them were based off lore, but the Ark & Spear are the only things that we have historical evidence of, and neither have been found. There are 3 Holy Lances currently - all claiming to be the real thing - and none of them have any evidence confirming it's authenticity.

SHF nailed it especially the likeness of Harrison. Harrison is one of the trickiest people to capture in likeness especially his natural charisma. They nailed it, so happy they did. You can have everything for Indy, but if it's not Harrison, it ain't it haha
Also you are spot on with the tan, didn't even realize the tan is also one of the few problems people miss when creating his likeness

The tone of the skin is incredibly important for likeness, of course. One example of it that fails is from SHF themselves with their Miguel O’Hara head sculpt. Too pale. But I’ve seen a recent photo of the box and it looks like they fixed it, hopefully

The idol is Mayan and I highly recommend the Hammond collection Jurassic park Trex it’s $31.99 down from $50 and it’s absolutely worth it! Huge, detailed and very poseable

i saw someone swapped the SH figurarts head onto the hasbro Indy. It didn't look too bad. I have been collecting the adventure series line because there are more characters. I think the likenesses are overall pretty decent and i think one area where the hasbro figure excels over this one is that they did add some weathering to his jacket. I imagine that's something you could do yourself with the figurarts. I have been contemplating picking up the Figurarts one myself. I would honestly recommend not sleeping on the Adventure series. The Grail Knight is fantastic. The Last Crusade Indy in that line isn't bad either for the price.

I love this figure. It is pretty close to perfect. I really want them to put out short round because the Hasbro version's likeness is really soft, and is accentuated next to the figuarts Indy. I am really glad mine showed up before the Black Friday sales so I did not purchase any of the Hasbro versions. This is the only Indy figure I need, and I am very happy to have it.
Nice review, nice figure. Still, I'm holding out for the Mezco One 12 Indie. I just hope they don't make him a bobble head like they've done with so many of their recent releases.

With the Figuarts in hand and all the pics I’ve seen of the Mez, there’s no way it’s better than the Figuarts. The Figuarts is pretty perfect.
@@Darthbauer951 You might be right, but I do prefer soft goods figures. I may end up getting both, I do double up on characters I like.
@@quodnomenmihiest6283 if you get both and they scale ok together, you could always headswap the Figuarts head to the Mezco body. That’d probably be really nice looking.

I saw that fertility idol yesterday in a shop. Looks kind of cheap in person.. There's actually polystone or solid ones. You can get cheap and look and feel better I think
I’m displaying this one with the jacket and hat off with the smiling face since we got nothing like that in the Adventure Series. Then put the standard face with hat on to the adventure series Raiders Indy body that I weathered and it looks awesome that way. I almost like it better than the Figuarts.
Any recommendations on where to buy it?

the face likeness is great but his coat is way too dark, it's supposed to be brown but that looks almost black.

I’m sure this has been said but the title called huge bandai fail makes it seem like the figure is garbage however you go on to rave about the figure and how much you love it lol. Either way, glad to see it’s a good figure, nice review.

So this is one of those fun figs. Like the hiya rambo. It's pricey but so is life? Thus fig does not go in the case he goes in your pocket. Take him outside to pose around in real world inviormant. Like the rambo 1st blood I have him falling down trees and jumping off little cliffs and I dont care what my neighbors think.go ahead think I'm wierd ? So what life is short and I'm playing with figs B!!!!!!
