having satipo and Mola Ram not in the range is a glaring omission, and would have been much more interesting in the double pack. generally feel that we got the best figs with Temple. I only have 6 of the 25 and 4 of them are in your s tier. sallah was a complete letdown, why did they go for that look instead of the fez outfit?! really enjoyed the ranking, would maybe have placed shorty one tier up, but I'm biased coz I love the little guy! also starting to come around to hypnotized Indy after being initially put off by the separation lines in the torso. nice one mate 👍
10:10 to this point specifically, I actually painted the tweed pattern on his hat, and it was an absolutely mind numbing experience, and at a factory level, probably incredibly difficult. It looks great, though
Your ranking isn't too far off from where mine is. I put all the Dial of Destiny figures in the Adios Sapito rank lol. Sallah I put at bad dates. I do think his head sculpt is not great. But I appreciate having him and I guess the silver lining is that he can be posed with Map Room Indy to hold the Ark. If I were to rank my "Holy Grails" of the line? I think they would be... Grail Knight, Last Crusade Indy, Club Obi-Wan Indy and Henry Sr. I'd probably put the Temple Escape Indy at "Fortune and Glory". That pedestal/dias is a nice set piece. The likeness isn't as good as LC Indy, but I feel it's still quite serviceable. I would probably be more critical of the Temple Escape Indy and the double pack if I had paid full price. But I got them both discounted. $30 US or so for the Temple escape and another $30 or so for the double pack.
Considering the price of these figures you shouldn't have to do any modifications, but hit Sallah's face with some matte spray and he moves up to B tier. It makes a huge difference. Pretty solid list otherwise except both Belloq figs are s tier for me, and Brody is the worse fig of the line and its not close. Seriously, he has a weird pink face and his ass fell off right out of the package for me as soon as I tried pose him
Thanks for taking the time to comment, and especially for you're brilliant suggestion to improve the Sallah figure! I'll definitely be trying that out :) Brody was such a disappointment
@GeekFigureFan no problem! Not sure why they made Sallah's face paint so much worse than the rest of the line, but when you pull him out of the box he looks like he's melting. I agree with you, wish they had given us the superior Sallah costume from TLC
Great list. I know this is the Adventure Series list, but if you really want a definitive Indy I highly recommend the SHF version. All 3 of his face sculpts are insanely good, removable hat, tons of hands, whip/curled, pistol, medallion, idol, sandbag, and much better articulation.
This is a great overview. I’ve recently been tempted by so many of these going into Hasbro’s Outlet on discount, but definitely don’t have the shelf space for everyone. It helps to narrow in on which ones might be worth it 👍
Really nice of you to say, and thank you for taking the time to comment! Honestly I still love this range, even now the hype and interest is largely over. I think you'll be happy with pretty much any 'Indy' fig, but in general the head sculpts get better as the waves go on 🤠
@@GeekFigureFan I’ll keep that in mind about the sculpts. There are definite kit-bashing possibilities with Indy. And you’re welcome! You do a nice clean job with the videos I’ve seen so far. You have a nice, focused approach and express your thoughts very well. I subscribed and wish you luck getting to 1000 and beyond!
I totally agree with you that we shoulda gotten the version of sallah from last crusade and I woulda much rather gotten the version of marion from nepal. and it's kinda funny that so many people had such a hard time getting the target exclusive indys, cause both the club obi wan and well of souls indy were peg warmers at all 3 of my local targets and I was able to get both on clearance for around $7 a piece. and did you notice that for some reason last crusade indy's whip is shorter than all the other whip releases?
Glad you managed to get those figures considering so many others have struggled! I had no idea his whip was smaller, but I guess it’s what he does with it that counts 😂
I think Short Round has to be on Holy grail list, because a lot of accesories, the jacket, its a beatiful figure. We need a wave 4 with Mola Ram, Willie, anoche Marion and KOTC figures Indy, Mutt, Irina, etc
I think Temple Escape Indy would have impressed me more if they had included all of the interchangeable hands that came with Raiders Indy. As it sits, I kinda wish Hasbro would have simply sold the idol and pedestal as a separate accessory.
Having just rewatched Crystal Skull, I thought I'd pass along what seems to be good recipes to make two Indys from that movie (I don't have the needed figures yet, but am definitely going to pick up extras if I can find them cheap enough). Area 51 Indy: Head from Dial of Destiny Indy on body of Deluxe Cairo Indy. Remove gun belt. He just needs his bag and whip. Optional: he uses an M1 Carbine but I don't think there's one easily available in 1/12 (3D print maybe?). South America Indy: Dial of Destiny Indy torso, arms, and head. Legs from Raiders Indy. Alternatively paint the legs of DoD Indy a lighter brown. Keep gun belt, bag, and whip. He does have a backpack while in Nazca so you could use the DoD one, though it's a bit different. Omit the torch. Optional: He uses an RPG7 during the jungle chase scene, so that would be a cool accessory if you can get a 1/12 one.
I took a professor Indy and replaced the head with a Han solo head from TFA for an old tired retired Indy. Also I found the Belloq/Brody 2 pack on clearance for $21 so I snatched that one up
@@RomanSantosprofessor I love that idea! 😀 And that's a great deal for Brody/Belloq Double pack, lot of figure for the price! If it had been $21 brand new it would have featured a LOT higher on my list. Thanks for the comment 🤘
Also, the Sr. figure was really let down by his headsculpt. I’ve ordered an aftermarket head for mine. As for LC Indy, I was a little let down that he’s completely reuse from the Raiders Indy but yeah, he’s still the best Indy. DOD Indy is reuse of Raiders Indy other than the legs, so I put a LC head on it and repainted the body to match Indy at the end of LC, like a three trials look and it’s honestly my favorite Indy.
I was definitely more disappointed with Henry Sr than some. The mainline Indy's use similar bits off previous figs but I totally get it. Thank you for the nice comments :) really good thoughts!
I thought hypnotised Indy was such a nothing figure. A waste of a slot and boring compared to the temple of doom Indy in that same wave, I also think that slot should have been given to willie even if she ends up being a peg warmer because at least the TOD trio would be complete. The figure I hate the most from the wave is Helena, she’s such a vile and selfish character it’s hard to even remotely like her. She even does flat out evil things in the film like leaving Indy for dead multiple times, associating herself with gangsters or actually being responsible for the deaths of Indy’s friends and colleagues. She also attempts to brush them off with witty remarks like “he’s the one wanted for murder”, or “I don’t need moral advice from an aging grave robber!” to justify herself and not take responsibility. Such a pitiful character
I got the whole lot of them because this is really the last time there will be any Indiana Jones action figures. I think it's really sad that "political Correctness" has robbed us of Mola Ram, German officers and soldiers ect, etc. Such a bloody shame.
thanks for the comment 🙂 I find I go back and forth between (a) disappointed/frustrated that we didn’t get the full spectrum of figures from the movies, and (b) just totally grateful that we ever got this range in the first place!

I can get behind having shorty higher, I'm probably being too harsh! It's so hard to rank them all 🤣
Thanks for taking the time to comment! 🤘
The fact that Toht came with the melting face but the ceremony Belloq didn’t was a huge let down
There's a few figures I'd have appreciated alternate heads on...that white suit Belloq would have been great with a hatless head
just remove the head lol
bits of Belloq's exploded head/brain matter would've been too easy to lose.
Excellent tier list. I’m in almost agreement with your choices. I would have put Cairo Indiana in the A list. 19:27
Thanks! Yes a lot seem to like Cairo Indy more than I did, totally get it
