Because I am such a visual learner, I am wondering how to actually stitch these out… I’d love to see it actually done on a project to see its application. Can those decorative stitches be applied to a shape with curves? Or only a straight line.
Hi Melinda, just watched your video on how to use decorative stitches, thanks it was very informative. I need to know how to make knockdown stitches in a smaller and tighter version, I hope I'm describing it right, I know the machines come with a variety of fill stitches, but I'm not seeing the tight stitches that are close together, can you help me, and do you have a video out there that shows you how to acquire this type of stitch, if so, could you please send it to me, I would appreciate it very much, thanks, Gloria
Hi Gloria. Very happy to help. When you put my name in the search bar in RUclips, add knockdown stitches (or whatever subject you’re seeking) and all the work I’ve done on that topic will come up for you. I do have a means of using the fills to their smallest sizes possible which I show you in those videos. You’ll use two of the same full, reduce to 50%, layer and rotate one of them. Sounds complicated, but you’ll see how easy it is when you watch. I had the same problem and found this as a solution for my needs. Hope it helps!
Thank you, Melinda. Have a great weekend!
You as well, Sharon! 🩵
Hadn’t seen that function in embroidery. Thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome!
Can’t wait to try this technique.
It’s lots of fun!
Like the way you paired the stitches…Will have to give it a try
Thank you for sharing!
Ty, Lin!
When I watch your videos, sometiimes is as I discover my Solaris again.
That makes my day, Becky! 🤗
Very interesting thanks.
Most welcome, Pamela!
Thank you ❤
🤗
Love this!

Thank you. Good tips. I have had difficulty using those stitches on the sewing side just as you described.
They are tricky for sure! 😊
Where were you two months ago with this when I was looking for decorative stitches on the embroidery side! 😂
😂 I don’t know. What day was it?

You treat it just like any embroidery design in the stitch out. If you scan something in you could place them individually around a curve I think…
