The Mysterious Zuma Rock in Zuba, NIger State, Nigeria. A fascinating work sculpted by the forces of nature over millions of years.
Driving along the Kaduna - Abuja Motorway, the rock is by far the most dominant landmark. Zuma rock is an iconic geological feature in Nigeria, it also features on the 100 Naira note (Local currency).
Local legend has it that the gods created the rock to hold all the water from the great flood and thus save thousands of lives in the town of Zuba, the rock has the image of a person's face on it and if the rock is offended, the rock will open its mouth and flood the entire town with the content of its belly :-)

Some are now saying what you call mountains are ancient tree stumps, trees that reached the sky. Compare the base of mountains with logged off tree stumps and resemblance is striking.Could be remains of ancient tree this one.
