    thanks for sharing this, so a few questions, if I go to a 3D scanning place to have a part scanned, they will give me an excel spreadsheet or does their scanner output into a different format?

    Hi i have a the cloud points of a room in .mat format which has two matrices for point location (single format) and color (unit8 format). How can i import color matrix after importing point location into solidworks?

    i am doing analysis on airfoils and the values of lift and drag that i get using flow simulation in SOLIDWORKS 2014 is not even close to the original values. can you help me out cos it's pretty difficult to do the flow analysis in ANSYS .

      @@caseydill7714 a table of points is not a point cloud like would be created by a laser scan. I'd wager that's what Joe means.
