7 years old but here goes. You're partially correct. It's not that you don't remember lies, you can make yourself remember anything. But it's much easier to remember the truth because it's what actually happened and you'll have more than just the memory of the event, you'll have the images of the event happening, you might remember the smell in the air, or the thoughts you had at the time, etc, there is more to connect to with the truth, whereas with a lie all you have is the lie and whatever details you've added or embellished. That's why it's common for lies to stick to some part of the truth, it's easier to remember the lie if there is some truth you can tie it to, and obviously it is more likely to be believed I guess but also it's easier for the liar to manipulate the truth than to simply come up with a whole new lie.

To the rope LIES/aspect : there was NEVER any rope. she really thought for whatever reason that a random "2O ft rope" would explain/justify a reason for a whole knife to be in someone's bedroom. I , myself , am into sub/dom BDSM "relationships" and anyone with similar experience will tell you that that story makes absolutely no sense and didn't happen because it's impossible. A boyfriend of mine , when we wanted to tie my wrists ( and possibly other things later ) , have had an instance somewhat like this. He had just moved and didn't have a proper bed frame , nor a headboard for us to tie anything even remotely similar to a rope to. how she explains this, with a bed 🛌🏽 like that , the "rope" couldn't be tight enough around the back and she's still able to easily slip her wrists in & out of. it couldn't be loose on her wrists AND tight around the back at the same time. A gun like one of the murder weapon is stolen from her house less than a week before she takes a trip which she claims is to Utah while she takes a route from that leads to Arizona where the murder occurs, she rents a car and borrows gas cans for her trip, her license plates are mysteriously altered and her cellphone loses power during the time the murder occurs. She tells several different lies about how the killing occurred before finally claiming she killed him spontaneously in self defense.
I knew someone like this in life and watching this is almost like reliving the experience. People like this are so confounding. The jury sits very close to the witness in that courtroom. A few jurors are so close that they could lean over and slap her. I have no doubt that those sitting so close have had to restrain themselves!

Interesting... around 53:00, she is talking about how she had never seen his camera before that day when they took the sex pics, and she says it was Travis who deleted the pictures, but then Martinez asks if before that, did she ever have any experience deleting photos from that camera, and she says, "Before June 4th? No." So, she's essentially admitted to hanging around long enough after she killed him to take the time to delete photos. And yet, she wants the jury to believe that she killed him in this blind fear for her life and made a hurried, panicked escape from the house. LIES! She deleted the pics, put his clothes, the bedding, some towels, and the camera in the wash with bleach, put the knife in the dishwasher, took the gun and rope with her, then left. She took her sweet time cleaning up after this slaughter. She disgusts me.

She states Travis , a buffed and trained wrestler, attacked her while naked from teh shower because Jodi a suppsoed PRO PHOTOGRAPHER, dropped the camera so he came running down the hall, then enraged AFTER being shot, threw her down, jumped on her, wrestled her, continued to attack but she had NOT ONE MARK OR BRUISE on her, whilst Travis had a gunshot to the head, 29 stab wounds, 9 in the BACK, and throat slit from ear to ear.

Fay Workman because it would delay the penalty phase even further than it already has been and would cost the tax payers an astronomical amount of money to hire new lawyers, give them time to research all the info, forensics, and evidence. Review all hearing and trial transcripts, reinvestigate every witness ect ect...when they are almost finished and need to see it through. Not to mention they recieved a raise in oay beyond the pay allowed for public defenders because Nurmi left the Publid defenders office during preperation for trial and Wilmot was always in private practice but is a DP certified attorney and needed because Nurmi is not and this is a dp case.

The ME said that due to the decomposition of TA's body, he wasn't able to distinguish what kind of knife was used. 5 days changes tissue a lot. Jodi claims that she put the knife in the dishwasher. The gas can issue is key to proving premeditation. Jodi drives 180 miles round trip to get a "good deal" on a rental car but takes 2, 5 gallon gas cans with her to fill in UT or AZ to save $ on gas? I looked up the gas prices for AZ v CA. At most, she saved $6.00. And then drove in the Mohave desert in June with 10 gallons of gas in plastic in her trunk. She used 1.5-2 tanks of gas just to get the rental car! PREMEDITATION.

it's so obvious she's try to be as vague as possible when describing anything that's important so that juan can't catch her in a lie. she tells flores travis left the knife on the nightstand after he cut the rope. yet, when she testifies at trial she just happens to say........I don't know where travis left the knife after cutting the rope. she's doing that because she knows if she gives the wrong answer it may kill her ability to lie about how the attack actually occurred. she needs the knife to be closer to the bathroom or in the bathroom as that better supports her theory of the attack. if the knife is in the bedroom on the nightstand, she has to explain why she just didn't run out of the house instead of running out of the bathroom to grab the knife. this is why the so called FOG defense was critical. but the fog got thicker at trial. when she was interviewed by flores, the fog wasn't as thick. very convenient don't u think?
I'm not saying I believe this stupid liar for one second, but I remember there were fibers found in the bathroom that look like they're from a rope of some sort, so her story if there being a rope and that he cut it in the bathroom i suppose could be true. I still think it was just a happy coincidence for her that that made a knife so readily available. My problem is that she wants the jury to believe that she was in a fog, doesn't remember stabbing him, but she had the clarity enough to put the knife in the dishwasher and remember to take both pieces of the rope with her when she made her blind flurry of an escape... that's because she knew it would have her DNA on it and would be direct evidence that she was there the day he was murdered. She knew exactly what she was doing... almost as though it were *planned*.
mrip75 I remember specific pictures if these tassels attached to a loop of rope in the bedroom and I do think those were from a pillow or they actually look like curtain tie-backs to me, but in the bathroom, I'm taking about tiny, individual fibers that were found. I suppose they could have been from a rope being cut, but they also sorta just look like individual carpet fibers that just get tracked around especially when there's an area where carpet meets tile. It could have already been there before the murder happened. I'm not sure they were very important at all, because if they were, somebody as sharp as JM would have made sure to mention it to the jury, especially in his closing statement where he explained everything and made the whole timeline of events very clear.
Those fibers were from a pair of flip flops that were on the bedroom floor, that have shag carpet on the foot bed. You can see them in the crime scene photos. The crime scene tech was asked about them, she said they were not tested.

But it's much easier to remember the truth because it's what actually happened and you'll have more than just the memory of the event, you'll have the images of the event happening, you might remember the smell in the air, or the thoughts you had at the time, etc, there is more to connect to with the truth, whereas with a lie all you have is the lie and whatever details you've added or embellished. That's why it's common for lies to stick to some part of the truth, it's easier to remember the lie if there is some truth you can tie it to, and obviously it is more likely to be believed I guess but also it's easier for the liar to manipulate the truth than to simply come up with a whole new lie.

I just got into this trial this past week. I had heard about it, but wasn't as involved as I am in now. Thanks for posting these up! I just can't stand the way she smiles. If you loved someone you would be balling and never be able to smile during this trial.

there was NEVER any rope. she really thought for whatever reason that a random "2O ft rope" would explain/justify a reason for a whole knife to be in someone's bedroom. I , myself , am into sub/dom BDSM "relationships" and anyone with similar experience will tell you that that story makes absolutely no sense and didn't happen because it's impossible.
A boyfriend of mine , when we wanted to tie my wrists ( and possibly other things later ) , have had an instance somewhat like this. He had just moved and didn't have a proper bed frame , nor a headboard for us to tie anything even remotely similar to a rope to.

A gun like one of the murder weapon is stolen from her house less than a week before she takes a trip which she claims is to Utah while she takes a route from that leads to Arizona where the murder occurs, she rents a car and borrows gas cans for her trip, her license plates are mysteriously altered and her cellphone loses power during the time the murder occurs. She tells several different lies about how the killing occurred before finally claiming she killed him spontaneously in self defense.
I knew someone like this in life and watching this is almost like reliving the experience. People like this are so confounding. They are not so much smart as they are stubborn beyond belief, which in itself can fool many people. Travis clearly began to recognize that she was a sociopath as he even says so... I can't imagine the horror he must have felt when she attacked him, knowing no one else even knew she was there...

He’s only one guy I give him all the credit in the world. When you watch her defense team ask questions they always refer to their notes. Juan barley has to look at anything while questioning her. The jury sits very close to the witness in that courtroom. A few jurors are so close that they could lean over and slap her. I have no doubt that those sitting so close have had to restrain themselves!

Interesting... around 53:00, she is talking about how she had never seen his camera before that day when they took the sex pics, and she says it was Travis who deleted the pictures, but then Martinez asks if before that, did she ever have any experience deleting photos from that camera, and she says, "Before June 4th? So, she's essentially admitted to hanging around long enough after she killed him to take the time to delete photos. And yet, she wants the jury to believe that she killed him in this blind fear for her life and made a hurried, panicked escape from the house. LIES! She deleted the pics, put his clothes, the bedding, some towels, and the camera in the wash with bleach, put the knife in the dishwasher, took the gun and rope with her, then left. She took her sweet time cleaning up after this slaughter. She disgusts me.
Well there was never any rope that was just an excuse for having a knife in the vicinity. Other than that it’s premeditated because she either ran to get a knife but more than likely she had it with her because of the time of death according to the pictures and time stamps ..

It isn't physically even possible for it to have been self defense. She states Travis , a buffed and trained wrestler, attacked her while naked from teh shower because Jodi a suppsoed PRO PHOTOGRAPHER, dropped the camera so he came running down the hall, then enraged AFTER being shot, threw her down, jumped on her, wrestled her, continued to attack but she had NOT ONE MARK OR BRUISE on her, whilst Travis had a gunshot to the head, 29 stab wounds, 9 in the BACK, and throat slit from ear to ear.

Fay Workman because it would delay the penalty phase even further than it already has been and would cost the tax payers an astronomical amount of money to hire new lawyers, give them time to research all the info, forensics, and evidence. Review all hearing and trial transcripts, reinvestigate every witness ect ect...when they are almost finished and need to see it through. Not to mention they recieved a raise in oay beyond the pay allowed for public defenders because Nurmi left the Publid defenders office during preperation for trial and Wilmot was always in private practice but is a DP certified attorney and needed because Nurmi is not and this is a dp case.

The gas can issue is key to proving premeditation. Jodi drives 180 miles round trip to get a "good deal" on a rental car but takes 2, 5 gallon gas cans with her to fill in UT or AZ to save $ on gas? I looked up the gas prices for AZ v CA. At most, she saved $6.00. And then drove in the Mohave desert in June with 10 gallons of gas in plastic in her trunk.
She used 1.5-2 tanks of gas just to get the rental car!

it's so obvious she's try to be as vague as possible when describing anything that's important so that juan can't catch her in a lie. she tells flores travis left the knife on the nightstand after he cut the rope. yet, when she testifies at trial she just happens to say........I don't know where travis left the knife after cutting the rope. she's doing that because she knows if she gives the wrong answer it may kill her ability to lie about how the attack actually occurred. she needs the knife to be closer to the bathroom or in the bathroom as that better supports her theory of the attack. if the knife is in the bedroom on the nightstand, she has to explain why she just didn't run out of the house instead of running out of the bathroom to grab the knife. this is why the so called FOG defense was critical. but the fog got thicker at trial. when she was interviewed by flores, the fog wasn't as thick. very convenient don't u think?

I'm not saying I believe this stupid liar for one second, but I remember there were fibers found in the bathroom that look like they're from a rope of some sort, so her story if there being a rope and that he cut it in the bathroom i suppose could be true. I still think it was just a happy coincidence for her that that made a knife so readily available.
My problem is that she wants the jury to believe that she was in a fog, doesn't remember stabbing him, but she had the clarity enough to put the knife in the dishwasher and remember to take both pieces of the rope with her when she made her blind flurry of an escape... that's because she knew it would have her DNA on it and would be direct evidence that she was there the day he was murdered.

mrip75 I remember specific pictures if these tassels attached to a loop of rope in the bedroom and I do think those were from a pillow or they actually look like curtain tie-backs to me, but in the bathroom, I'm taking about tiny, individual fibers that were found. I suppose they could have been from a rope being cut, but they also sorta just look like individual carpet fibers that just get tracked around especially when there's an area where carpet meets tile. It could have already been there before the murder happened. I'm not sure they were very important at all, because if they were, somebody as sharp as JM would have made sure to mention it to the jury, especially in his closing statement where he explained everything and made the whole timeline of events very clear.
Those fibers were from a pair of flip flops that were on the bedroom floor, that have shag carpet on the foot bed. You can see them in the crime scene photos. The crime scene tech was asked about them, she said they were not tested.
