One thing you're going to have to accept on Defense is that you will die from spots you cant anticipate. The map size and design (also gameplay design) make it incredibly hard to predict anything that is going to happen, and you will die because of it. Even Enders has in this video. Playing distance, constant movement and good flanks/Lines of Sight are whats going to improve your perfomance a lot. Tackling the attackers head on like a stubborn bull never works.
its a catch 22 for medics too.
really youre stuck between running around like a madman/woman doing your best to just quickly grab people. you sometimes cant even do much in the way of shooting back & getting kills. I find myself ignoring my personal well being and just trusting my team in covering fire getting as many people as possible constantly supplied or revived.
the flip side you can try to support snipers and hill huggers, who may not be helping hold the point but are getting kills and keeping attackers off the spot. but 1 vehicle user can Eff either strategy up regardless of who youre keeping supplied
@@Jaleel_HS To be quite honest, the Defending team doesn't necessarily need any medics, because the defending team has infinite respawns. Medics matter the most on the Attacking team. Which is funny cause more often than not, everyone just insta-skips the revive window and then wonders why they're losing so quickly on attack (LMFAO)
Some of the major problems come from horrible gadgets like the wingsuit (straight out of Just Cause, actually even more overpowered, because you will die if you just crash it against the ground in that game) and the size of the teams. You will get overwhelmed, and you can't do much about it, because of all those things struggling to work together and making more issues. But no, apparently this game is incredible now, even with basic, glaring issues, but very few people seemingly care.

@@damionbryant6215 on the attacking team, skipping a revive or not being revived costs your team a ticket.
That's why in older games like BF4, BF1 in the Rush modes, or just a generally close game, down to the wire, low tickets, people would spam the chat saying "DON'T SPAWN"
it's that. Each actively spawned in player is basically a ticket running around with an HP bar. Every time a player dies, and is not revived, you lose a ticket from the team's ticket pool. Flag control and Kills are how you win in Battlefield games, unless you're in Breakthrough or Rush of course.
In the context of Battlefield Rush and Breakthrough, the defender team doesn't get a ticket pool. they can simply die and respawn on an infinite loop and never lose, whereas the attacker team only gets a set number of tickets, and each objective they clear/capture rewards them with more tickets to use. Revives are very important on the ATTACKING team, because if people simply just give up and respawn, they're actively hurting their own team. Reviving saves the ticket from being lost. Not reviving contributes to the loss.

Even as a longtime battlefield veteran, these tips always have value for me. Take heed to Enders noobs, he knows what he’s talking about.
I like how you spot while shooting. It's something I feel not a lot of people do as insurance in case they lose a gunfight to help teamates.

This is the most kinda of useful video. I think this give a lot more information of the thought process. More of these on different gamemodes would be pretty cool.

I've played breakthrough on any battlefield like once and that was enough
Last night I was that annoying guy who pincers people. B point on stranded. I set up a spawn beacon for myself on the left flank ridge. Really harassed troops pushing into the point with an MG. One time after I got killed, I got T-bagged. Guess I was doing something right! XD

Some tips for BT defence on Spearhead would be nice. Because if this map comes up and the enemy has no complete noob in the Superhind, the only Tip I personally could give is to press Alt-F4. Maybe you have something better to say than this?
I spot a lot as I'm lying there dying to let teammates know where/how many enemy are around me. Is this a good use of time or should I just immediately respond and use that time engaging instead? I'm a bullet sponge( I suck at this game basically, but trying to learn and progress ) and don't really care about dying/kill ratio that much so I like helping the team/teammates more than boosting my own stats/kills.
The only ones that can see it are your squadmates. So if there isn't one around don't bother with the spot.

I've noticed when you ADS enemy meta shows up instantly, even at great distance. When I do it, I don't get the meta consistently. At great distance, none at all and with vehicles mostly none at all regardless of distance. I waste a lot of ammo shooting my own stuff. Is this a glitch or is my setup missing something?

in 1 day I went from mastery 0 to mastery 120 on blasco just because I put my device next to a massive group of teammates and just got so many spot denials it's crazy
They change RUSH into Breakthrough. Rush only has one restricted area for the defending team and that’s the attackers initial deployment . They ruined that and they force defense to fight on the objective or directly in front of the objective

Hate defence, and for some reason the matchmaking puts me in defence 9 out of 10 games every time i play and its frustrating.

Been playing a bit since the game was given free on ps, it’s ok, I can’t play for long cos the game I s just so bare boned and sigh filled. Can’t find a specialist I really enjoy playing with. It always feels like I got the wrong one. Ha d a nice round the other day... Found a great squad, would have been nice to have a 2nd match with them but the genius of dices team play initiative the server restarts every single match! Game is still very frustrating. Want to play a different map but 2042 is a get what you’re given type situation not a choose your choice.

I absolutely hate that it dumps you into a different server ever game. Sometimes your team has a groove, or you got a good squad and then *poof* new game, new server, different squad, and you’re getting pwned.

That’s what I want to know, it might be a reshade plug-in. Re-shade is a (better) alternative to Nvidia filter overlay but there are a bunch of plug-ins I haven’t looked at and this might be one.
@@XavierAway no, it’s an option that can be found in the network settings of 2042. It shows the bullet hits client side vs. server side.

Be mobile, I strongly agree. Camping in this game is proven to lose the match. Spawn beacon under the bridge at the northwest side of the map when defending the first two points is a really strong location. I denied infantry by positioning myself there. Good flanking opportunities and backcap A1.
What factors would you say makes you feel like a solo game was a good one/personal win when the match is lost overall? For example if I were to control a lane well like you did during the start of the match even if the point was lost that would be a big this was a gg moment for me.
Also, does ANYBODY else have the problem when they launch 2042 (PC) where it just launches to a fucking screensaver scroll of a globe? I am so tired of having to start the game 2-3 times to get the connecting to online services screen to pop over this glorified DVD saver bullshit I'm experiencing. Thanks for any help in advance.
Haven't had this problem so far. Maybe try reinstalling the game and the ea launcher

To be very honest I wish they'd just give us a standard 32v32 Rush mode that stays on the menu at all times. At least that has some fun involved. the 16v16 modes we have are just bland, boring and have too little amount of players to actually have fun

First thing being no coward. Don't use explosive stuff like (under barrel) nades, XM, SPH, ...
Super hinds side mounted miniguns make no sense to me, they are by far one of the worst weapons in game. And my favorite thing that helps is being an absolute ahole with crawfords vulcan. I love putting that thing in the most absurd spots while defending (favorite being the said first point on flashpoint, put that in the corner of the green container building at the frontline an your gold) people charge in straight to doom😂
The way the maps are set up, defense will lose probably 7/10 times.
To win as defense either A, the attackers are dog shit bad or B, the defense team is filled with top tier operators (not game rank tier).

Sometimes it feels like you and your teammates are the only actual people playing the game. Every time you leave a flag it immediately gets captured by the enemy. It feels like playing with bots but without the AI prefix. Is it only me that I am suspicious that most of players are bots (WITHOUT AI label), on my team and the other? Whenever you check the scoreboard its full, but many times when playing a conquest game it feels like empty...
at 2:56 how did he know how many enemies and teammates were on the point/flag?
it literally tells you at the top of your screen under the flag icon when you're standing on the flag

im in the same scenario and you should switch. its a whole different world. this game almost requires a switch if you have the option just because the mobility is so much more improved.
