One critque is I think it works better if Frisk is mostly silent like how Artsy had it in theirs. The emoting sounds they make jar me out with how reserved they are in the imagry. The Sans va'ing is baller as heck though
What an interesting observation you made there, I absolutely adore it! While I do think there's something to be said about silent Frisk, I think you might find my reasoning here quite fascinating as to WHY they're as vocal as they are here (though with a caveat towards your observation shortly after)! For me, a character like Frisk is CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY silent in my head when controlled by the player, right? I like the idea that these noises are almost indicative of how far things have spiraled. Though, perhaps admittedly that performance could have been a bit more subtle on the noises I made! I don't necessarily make noises like that often nor play a character in that area of my voice in that way like was required for Frisk, so there was a lot of awkwardness trying to time to the animatic and also make noises that sounded organic and fitting for the context here. Truth be told, I heavily considered actually using the audio Artsy had for Frisk and going from there, but they gave permission to use the VOICELESS version and it felt kind of weird to just snatch that audio because of it. I think their performance was lovely the whole way through, I had fun, that's for sure. Glad you like my Sans, though, I hope my enunciation was alright: I tend to 'dribble' out words when I use that voice! Thanks so much!
@@projectalpha22_vaYour sans was indeed pretty good. Something that I love that's it's a bit less baritone than most other Sans voices. Which not only is a cool take but also fits a bit more 'active' Sans. To your Frisk I don't think it was bad at all. More to clarify is it just felt 'overacted' if that makes any sense. It was still pretty good regardless of the hangups in doing it. In any case to go from a masculine tone to an androgynous/feminine leaning tone is quite an impressive range.
@@projectalpha22_va I did notice the frisk bit is a little overacted, it's still a nice interpretation to take considering how quiet frisk usually is, I'd still say it's a good take, you still did a splendid job, especially as sans♥
@@artsyrean5515Considering Sans was the main point of all of this, I’ll take it! Thank you for your kind words, and for the voiceless version of the video, this was a lot of fun!
