Great interview. We really need more of these interviews with the everyday people who come across these situations. This could happen to any of us. That's why we carry.
I loved Vince's comment about people saying "getting robbed is like hitting the lotto". To people that genuinely believe that, I say the lottery is a choice. You choose to gamble your money for the chance to win more. Existing in the world and not having a choice whether you are a victim or not is very different than making a conscious choice. The dad didn't have a choice in this case on being a victim of a criminal or not. His choice was made for him in that regard and he chose not to act like what the criminals thought he was. We know patterns and trends of how criminals target victims but we don't know why in the moment a criminal chooses a victim and the victim doesn't know that. All the victim can do is be prepared. Vince gets that and everything he has said is spot on. Bravo to him and all the best to him and his family!
He did say something that could hurt him: he said he decided he was OK with killing them the second he saw what was happening. Not a great thing to say, could argue a kind of pre-meditation. Doubt it matters, but you never know...LA can be so crazy.
I am glad they pointed out the importance of combat sports in improving mental resilience. One of the best things you can do to improve your chances at almost anything.

@@budguy21 It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL to write laws for personal gain.
It is so good to hear this guy admit that self doubt was his first thought, but still snapped out of it and act to protect himself & loved ones. So glad he survived to tell this story.
The scary part is living in a city that you have to train to survive but yet it's a good thing he was prepared
Great job interviewing and letting him talk without interrupting him.
You can tell this guy has been through some shit and seen some shit and understands that anything can happen. Props to him for being ready. Opens my eyes to pretty much always carrying at all times.
Not really. He admitted he let his guard down. Had his ear buds in playing music. Goes to Starbucks. Didn’t make one shot count, just opened fired.
@@Rubeless Respectfully, I’m not sure what your definition of “making a shot count” is, but obviously his did. The thugs ran off, his family is safe and he’s alive.
HWG , implying that his situational awareness is shaper, he would've been more calm and most of his shots would've been on target🤡. His strong conference is all due to a lot training and practice. Talk your good game all you want but, you don't know how your reaction is until you experience his situation🤡
Thanks for having him on Colion! You did great Vince! Glad you're here to tell us this!
This man is a strong man putting his love for his family to drive him.
THANK YOU COLION FOR TRACKING THIS HERO I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES AREA ….2A and CCW FOR THE WIN 🏅 😊
So glad he and his family are ok. This is exactly what the 2A is for
Strong good men here.
BRO this was such a necessary interview to do for every good man that wants to protect himself and his family.
You only goal is to stop the threat. You stopped the threat. 100% Success!
That guy Vince is too hard on himself. No amount of situational awareness could prepare you for a robber getting the drop on you in that situation.
The perp hopped the wall into an enclosed space & moved like lightning to close the gap. He turned the tables fast. Kudos to him, he protected his family!
Better training might have helped his shot placement. But he did well and was probably coached prior to taking the interview.
WRONG 😑
2 ear buds in = failure.
1 is at most semi safe.
He spoke correctly-
God bless this man , im happy he is alive to tell his story
I'm glad he and his family are safe
Great interview! I was moved when he talked about how proud that he is to be an American.
This is my biggest fear the one day I let my guard down and forget my firearm and it’s the one day need it or I should have been paying attention…
That’s a guarantee
Always carry boss!
Guys I live in Massachusetts. Liberal anti 2A environment and I am new to this, I am trying to learn. Any simple tips you can give to a newbie.
@@houseofhas9355First thing, go buy a Sig P365 (stay FAR away from fugly Block handgun😂) and a quality holster. Sign up for CCW class and get your permit. Practices dry fired and reholstering 200-500 a/day until you're comfortable carrying with one in chamber. Remember It important to not be a pussycat 😾 and always carry one in the chamber (O.I.C.)💯🙏
Switched on citizen. Awesome! Trains, learns, keeps getting better. Needed his training. Responsible for himself and protecting his family. This is Freedom. Nice Work!
Bro you are the LAPD! Deputize this man.
Wow. Man’s man who protected his family. Prepare and be prepared brothers
Glad he came out alive, glad his family was safe, glad he was able to react. I’m sure he would do a million things differently. I’m sure he is going to learn from and grow 10 fold
Brother you had your head on straight and you were set in your mission! YOU ARE A DAMN HERO in my eyes! Our #1 role, out of many, is to protect our family! YOU are the MAN, brother! I hope you now invest some time and money in training! Thank You for your story and for living through it!
I live about five to ten minutes away from this place. In the day time it's pretty quiet at dusk keep your Head on a swivel and watch your six. Within 2 minutes this man definitely spoke like a New Yorker Lol.Great video
They said mid city grew up near their what streets was this around ?

Talking about the mental aspects in a fire fight makes this discussion really unique
Great interview. We really need more of these interviews with the everyday people who come across these situations. This could happen to any of us. That's why we carry.
Head strong brother and true protector of his castle.
Level headed Man.
He did right for his family!
Much respect ro you young Man! Much Respect!
Really hope this guy talked to his lawyer before speaking on this podcast. DA could use anything here against him
Colion is a lawyer. I don’t think he’d post it if he said anything that could hurt him.
Good point!
He did say something that could hurt him: he said he decided he was OK with killing them the second he saw what was happening. Not a great thing to say, could argue a kind of pre-meditation.
Doubt it matters, but you never know...LA can be so crazy.
For what no one was hurt.

I am glad they pointed out the importance of combat sports in improving mental resilience. One of the best things you can do to improve your chances at almost anything.
His state will be sure to press charges on him for defending his family,
Highly unlikely. He has video. And the state isn't that petty.
Why?
@@stevebreedlove9760 Look up George Gascon the DA online. Read some of his cases with overzealous BS prosecutions.
@@stevebreedlove9760 I beg to differ. Many DAs in Cali are very petty.

There's a CA police officer with a RUclips channel, OG's Danger Show. He starts every show with, " No one is coming. It's up to you".
If you have a problem with this you either have malicious intentions or live in your own Nerf world of delusion
That was a damn good conversation. Reality.
Love when you do these.
We need to see more interviews like this. A lot more.
It’s not very intelligent to do interviews after an incident. Same reason why you don’t talk to cops.
I would love to see rubber gun guy in the blacked out, and voice distortion interview to conceal his identity.
I'm guessing he is still a free man, the fake news isn't jumping up and down celebrating he is in jail.
Fathers need to be feared. Always
There is no way in hell I could live under Gavin Newsom....
soon he will try to run for lets go brandon
And he will make sure you don't live either as he will make you as defenseless as possible. He signed SB2 here which will make everywhere in the state a sensitive location so your CCW is null and void.
The empty suit Governor of California has a moratorium on the death penalty.
Gavin has 24/7 armed protection paid for by us. Hypocrite.
The Pact with God concept sold me. “I won’t use violence if I’m not threatened.”
Beautiful pact to make when purchasing a new weapon or committing time to a martial art. Love it.
New Yorkers explaining a fight is magic.
Lesson here is don't plug your ears with headphones either. Too many time I see folks jogging or walking with headphones so loud that I can hear the music when they pass me. Folks are oblivious to their situation awareness. Good on this man for taking care of business.
I watched the video on Noir and I was scared for him due to how do we count our ammo that was discharged in the heat of the moment. Thank God he was able to protect his family and himself. 2A 💙💙💙💙
By FAR, this is the best Colion Noir video of all time. Nothing else compares.
You need to get out more.
nah, you said nothing meaningful
I live in Oakland and unable to obtain a CCW, curious how he was able to obtain one? Glad he’s safe
I haven't been to Oakland in thirty years. I take it hasn't got better?
Have you tried? Alameda is issuing.
A friend of mine who lives in Hayward applied for his CCW and it was approved, takes some time tho.
It’s easier to get your CCW in certain counties
God damn I am so glad that I live in a constitutional carry state, where you don't need a piece of paper to tell you whether or not you can carry. Oh and a magazine restrictions either.
For the love of god I hope it never changes.
Liked how Colion just listened and let him talk out the entire incident.
The thugs that did this to this brave guy need to be caught and prosecuted. They are still running around. Sad.
They won't be. It's a part of city living as he explained.
It’s Los Angeles and won’t happen.
This really impressed me. Dudes awesome. Thanks to Colion for interviewing him.
I hope I never am confronted with something like this, but if I am, I hope I am able to protect my family like he did. I am glad everyone ended up safe
He can definitely walk with his head high. Bet his family is very proud. Interesting to hear his thoughts
Glad your safe young man ! You did it tight protecting your family !!!
Attitude, skills and preparation this guy is a fucking stud.
Godspeed brother! This is an awesome interview!
Perfect example why magazine limits are ignorant. This man right here is a perfect example of great father, husband, protector, and provider.
Glad to see this guy come out clean out of this situation. Best to him and his family.
What an absolute warrior.
