This dude had about 3 rounds left to protect himself and he doesn't know when the threat will end. Literally California's large capacity magazine ban jeopardized this man's and his family's safety.
"I sure wish I had 33-66% LESS ammo!" Said literally no one that's needed to use a firearm to defend themselves.
How do you know what he was carrying?
@@HWG-wm8ldin California you’re only allowed to have 10 round magazines. Plus he said it himself. He ducked behind cover and checked his firearm and only had two rounds left. He said he wished he another magazine on him at that time. Did you watch the video?
@@HWG-wm8ldit’s California. They have a magazine restriction of ten round maximum. If you try to order a firearm online, you cannot buy one with more than a ten round capacity magazine if you live in CA. Doesn’t matter that you can buy the same firearm in NV, AZ and other states with standard capacity magazines (most micro and sub compact firearms have 10-15 round magazine capacity). That’s why commenters are saying CA and their magazine capacity restriction could have resulted in him being at a big disadvantage against the criminals.
That’s why you use your 17rd mags you got during freedom week
When he said he only had 1 or 2 rounds left, I felt that. California laws are fucked up
The big deal here is the idiot doesn’t carry extra mags, and he never used his sights, and had a shitty grip, and blasting music in his ears, and goes to Starbucks…
Pure luck
@@HWG-wm8ld lotta salty talk from a little keyboard warrior
@@HWG-wm8ldyou’re one of the biggest clowns in this videos comments. Like you’d have done any better. He survived and got the job done. Tell me how you carry when you go to the gym? Let’s hear about your shootout experiences.
That's why the glock store moved.
@HWG-wm8ld robbers get to pick when and where. So that's ridiculous to believe you'll be prepared at all moments and at all times. You would be most likely be doing normal regular things like listening to music. Some people look at their phones etc. It's really hard to say.
Also when there's adrenaline you don't even account for. It would be difficult to line up the slight picture if someone is 3 to 5 feet from you blasting away. You think you would stay calm for that second or 2 to line up the sights on a moving target?
Adrenaline would also make it difficult to reload your hand gun of your hands are shaking.
It's not the same as on a flat range in a well lit area while calm. It's difficult as is with a handgun. Not sure about you but, to even get sub MOA with a handgun takes alot of practice. Some people may get a decent groupings but, now add moving targets and adrenaline. Your hands would be shaking. That small change would throw your shots off.
I dry fire at home and even slight change in how I pull the trigger would throw the shot way off. Trigger control at least for me is something I need to work since I can't get consistent shots off. Thinking in a self defense scenario, no one what's a bullet to hit an innocent person.
Good on him for immediately calling out his own situational awareness. Notice how he didn’t blame someone else.
but it was the guns fault

Yea man and it sucks how corrupt it is with people who want to overthrow those rights already printed and been laid out for us the citizens of this country , I’m surprised this dude was carrying in California of all places and 10 rounds , you think the criminals didn’t have switches and all those 12+ rounds.
In California, I'm surprised he wasn't arrested for trying to hurt people that are just hungry and needed some milk and bread
I love this guy. He didn’t hesitate for a second to put himself between his family and the threat. A real stand up guy. Had he not had that gun things could have been terrible. God bless him and his family.
Better to have a gun in the hands than a cop on the phone; good job defending your life and your family bro.
@andrewtaylor7269how are you so sure? Criminals like easy victims. Like someone unarmed that won’t resist.
@andrewtaylor7269 peoples like you impower and give those thugs false confidence. Do you even own a firearm😮
😂😂 he said "I'm not going anywhere NEAR an ocean."
@andrewtaylor7269 Once again, you are giving those neglected kids/thugs too much credit. You are actually the one who has no clue the mindset of law-abiding citizens that collected firearms and practice with them often. So, I asked you again. Do you even own a firearm, and how often do you practice with it?😏🙏
You can’t call a cop in this situation. You’re already dead since the assailant got point blank range on the victims here.
Colion, your standing as a 2nd Amendment advocate has put you in a position to interview this man so well. I am so happy your channel exists to give this man the time tell his story and you have the knowledge and insight to bring out his story.
The man is humble and your conversation brought out the story.
I live in CA and I wish I could leave. The only reason the police dept didn't confiscate his firearm and take him into custody is this got so much news coverage and the cameras he has! In CA you have to PROVE your life was in danger even when someone breaks into your house! It is complete BS! This guy is a complete bad ass!
Cops made that decision way before this hit the news. Lawyered up or just had cool cops show up to the scene that night.
@@Sleepy731it's a sad fact but he either had sympathetic officers or he did indeed have to lawyer up, as well he prolly did as one would have to anyway considering his lo-cal.

Props to him
I live in nj and absolutely hate the 10 round limit. Politicians are absolutely ignorant when it comes to firearms.
come to pa bro
Here in Ohio we have a 30+1 limit for every day conceal carry.
What?? You can't take out 12 targets with 10 rounds??
I have a simple response. I will go along with what ever gun control policies as long as politicians follow the same policies..their protection details can't have anything more than what we can have.
Those useful idiots are the front only, but watch out those w private or tax funded security yet keep trying to take you arms.
I'm in NJ too. It sucks. I just heard that Corey Booker wrote a Bill to make purchase permits a national requirement basically.
His thoughts about sitting in the CCW class and wondering, " Do I really want to do this?" was exactly my thoughts. I took the class in August and did not file my paperwork until January. And what made up my mind was my dad told me, "I'd rather you protect your family and be tried by 12 than be carried out by 6." After that I filed my paperwork.
Colion, this is why you are awesome. Interviewing this person, who refused to be a victim, is the very last thing the legacy media would do. It's beneficial for all citizens who likewise refuse to be victims to have this information.
I was going to say something but you said it so well.
@andrewtaylor7269what the hell is your problem? Go touch grass.
Awesome content. As a former police officer I love to hear these experiences. What he says about time and space is so true, when you are forced into a situation the adrenaline dump sends you into another world. Please keep these type of interviews coming because they are a valuable learning tool. So happy the gentleman and his family are safe!
That dude did what he had to do “protecting his family” 🫡
God given common sense. That's all it is.
Good old God given common sense.
Reasonable gun sense would have gotten him hurt or killed.
He's a true Alpha Male
I have been in a similar situation. A woman off her meds tried to get in my house. She broke a window trying to open the door. My wife and daughter locked themselves in the bedroom and called 911. I have to admit, I was standing in the living room pointing my gun at the front door waiting for her to breach. My adrenaline was pumping and I was shaking all over. Never want to be in a situation to take a life, but I will protect my family. You never know how you will respond until it happens in real life.
Proud of this man for staying armed and protecting himself and his family even in the very anti-gun, liberal state of California… glad your safe man🙌🙏
Isn't it amazing how life works...You can be vigilant virtually all the time, and the one moment you let your guard down, that's when you're attacked!
Glad he was able to save himself and his family

This man needs to move his family out of CA. I'm a fellow Californian who grew up and lived here most of my life. I've seen the deterioration of this state, especially within the last few years. I'm in process of leaving the state because I hate how radical liberals ruined it. It's hard to believe this state was once Republican.
What is really disheartening is just like the state I grew up in, New York, the majority of people outside the big cities lean conservative but the politics are driven by liberal cities. Even in my state of PA that I have lived in for 30yrs, politics driven by Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The joke is what's between those two cities? Alabama(or Pennsatucky).
I kept saying this in my head the whole interview. This new Yorker would best live more safely in a place like New Hampshire. California is horrible for families now.
@@houseofhas9355 Listening to his background stories, possibly he does due to his business connections. I do agree northern NE(Vermont/Maine/New Hampshire) is a much safer and mostly 2nd Amendment friendly part of the country.
It was never republican. Just look at reagan and nixon, BOTH big government gun banning liberals.
Wait WHAT? That’s impossible to believe!
I'm sure this guy knows how extremely lucky he got with the robbers not being prepared. They had the drop on him and he had not a prayer of outdrawing them but they gave him the opportunity to turn the tables on them. And he took it flawlessly.
This man is an inspiration. I gotta tell you, as a Canadian, it's frightening to not being able to carry anything or even having access to your firearms inside your own house.
