Danielle was my lactation consultant in real life and she gave me this advise when I was having a lot of latching and let-down issues / anxiety. Nursing while co-bathing was such an easy and wonderful fix for us! I had wonderful experiences with both of my children following this advise.
Thank you for this video! I was dealing with a bad strike when baby was about 6 weeks old ( wasn’t paced feeding…rookie mistake). I was desperate so I gave this a shot. Baby was screaming to high heaven and I looked over at my husband and said ‘I knew this was a long shot. There’s no way this would work’. Just for kicks, I put the breast right by the baby’s mouth and she latched instantly! It was incredible! I am so thankful for this tip bc it saved my breastfeeding journey. Still going strong at three months. Thank you!!
This works every time. 👌🏾 My baby was born at 35 weeks. So we had some trouble with her sucking. We bottle feed, so I feel that sometimes she gets fussy when my letdown isn't fast enough and prefers a bottle. So I take baths with her almost every day since she turned 3 months to get that skin to skin and she goes right to my breast. I also went through a nursing strike for about 2 days. I had to put on a nipple shield to get her back on my breast. That night, she latched back on. 🤱🏾💞
Seeing this comment gives me hope. My daughter had her correction at 7weeks and we have had a week of breast refusal and pumping house arrest hell.....
Should I continue to try this method if my 5 week old doesn’t latch in the tub? She latched for the first 1.5 weeks and then got bottles because of weight loss and now she prefers bottles.
My son was preemie... will this work on a baby whose 1 year 9 months adjusted stopped nursing in April or may due to teething and its now july and is preferring bottles? Im trying everything.... nothing is working..I hope he hasn't forgotten how to latch... he actslike he hates being near my nipples but it's curious at the same time

Can this work with older babies around 9 months on a nursing strike?
yes & like she said, any good experience at the breast is good for future breastfeeding.
